I like Legends quite a bit. I bought like 20 this year. That awkward ugly proportioned Wolverine was not one of them. I honestly don't understand the praise its gotten.
Its ones like gear 5 that are really annoying because they're just so, so close to being great. Regular arms, non rubber covered hips and a sturdier cloud could have bumped him all the way up from bottom 10 to top 10 of the year for me personally
Yeah, I agree. I gear 5 had just been mostly a repaint and then had rubber arm swap out pieces that you could plug into the sleeves, I would've gotten him. The arms entirely being the rubber gimmick and the crotch articulation being ruined kept me from it. Not buying a figure that has bad range for no reason and that I know is going to tear because they made it rubber.
As a massive Berserk fan I smile every time you rip into those SHFigs. Serious let downs all of them. Bandai didn't drop the ball, they threw the ball full force into the ground.
@@ismellcrack6108yeah me too, I bought it 5 months ago and I am posing still today, it’s solid and fun to pose, guess Anthony was unlucky. For the proportion imo it’s subjective since in the manga they change depending on the drawing plus the berserk armor make guts skinnier since use his energy
I am pretty happy with mine, though not being able to hold up his sword is really disappointing. Clearly it can be done as there are Mezco figures that have no trouble one handing the dragon slayer, they just decided to give us really small wrist pegs for some reason.
@@the_nightmare_anime7869 Same. First Guts absolutely deserved to be torn apart because it was a gigantic mess, but the Heat of Passion version is pretty great. The one area I don't like too much is the shoulders and even those don't ruin the figure for me because it's otherwise really good. Great range, amazing sculpt. Paint wash is probably the weakest part because how good it looks depends on your batch.
Yeah I’m really sad with how the OP line has turned out. We’ve only gotten like a handful of good or passable ones when they should all honestly be great.

To me, the worst figure that I’ve purchased was the Black Series Darth Maul. They screwed up a retool and that’s saying something of how much the designers (and the collectors) care. Mine had a bent lower right leg which mean he can’t stand in neutral pose like most figures of quality. The head’s paint is wrong, proportions are wrong, lightsaber is made softer plastic. What! The McFarlane DC Multiverse Nightwing is #10? You couldn't be more wrong! It's a hell of a figure! It's so damn good, they lowered to price to $13.99 so more collectors can own it!
I hate that SHF is such a hit-or-miss figure company, especially at the price point. It makes it so hard to get actual good figures of certain characters (also the one piece line breaks my heart)

You won't see that if you don't buy these figures yourself, because especially Figma aren't reviewed that much, especially not by those who are critical.
I was so excited when they announced gear 5 Luffy but I do really wish they had done traditional articulation for the base limbs. For me, it at least looks good enough and comes with cool enough accessories that I'm happy to have it. I would absolutely grab a remake with regular limbs though
Spider Shot / Assassin Spider-Man is the FIRST figure that made me go out of my way to learn how to kitbash. Which is a shame as I really like this version of Peter. I bought a couple Black Panthers from Ollie’s and used the shoulders and legs. He’s now a much better looking figure. I did the same to the Black suit retro as well. NOT an excuse for his release, but he was worth it AFTER I had to fix him. I also kinda enjoy LS SM to fill out my Spider verse collection.

AC's Top 10 Worst figures of the year is always my most anticipated Toytuber video of the year... I got Wolverine from Deadpool and Wolverine on pre-order. I'm still picking it up and am curious how I feel about it in hand... the anatomy might be screwed but I like the sculpt of the textured suit. These MCU Marvel Legends figures used to have an observably larger budget than the comic figures... but I think that started to change over the last year or so
Can't believe some people are fighting to get that Wolverine, like yeah movie was cool, but so what? Figure is garbage Also McFarlane doesn't deserve the DC license, whether they're considered "for kids" or "collectibles" (that last makes it more embarrassing) they have enough years making figures to be doing things right and most of the time (at least with DC) they just deliver sad, boring, awful toys. I inevitably saw their recent Batman Beyond since he's one of my favorite superheroes and it's just trash
On a perfect world, character choice, aesthetics, and articulation come together to make a great figure. On Bizarro World, you get Marvel Legends Spider-Man retro card waves. We live on a world where you get both.
The list looked pretty good. The higher the price the better the product needs to be. Even the cheapest products need to be good enough to hold up to being handled and used as intended. Cheap action figures need to look good and be sturdy enough to be articulated, otherwise it is only garbage.

it did. to all of us. because it took the place of a better figure that hasbro should have made. they took advantage of knowing fans wanted something and made it cheap and crappy to maximize their profits without any care for the customers. everyone who wanted a good, suited jackaman wolverine should be pissed.
Amazing video Anthony, and I can't really complain much of your selections. Especially after watching your review videos of these figures throughout the year, it is really incredible how companies can be blinded with greed they can justify these figures. When greed (and it's orphan laziness) supersede pride the results are often disappointing. All of these figures were disappointing. One must wonder if a top 10 worse figures of the year concentrating on the disappointments from just Hasbro ML on the 3POA podcast tonight will go down. There are tons.
I can't recall if Anthony already reviewed this one, but the 1/12 Joy Man Studio Sub-Zero figure should be there somewhere on the list. For a very expensive figure, it is surely a very disappointing one.
Yeah I bought one of those Wolverines just so I could see it in person, since maybe I could get over the flaws; and if I couldn't, then I could sell it off for a quick buck Dwight Schrute-style. But just having on hand in the packaging, oof it's rough. Excellent head pieces, but I have to actually implement some 3/4 angles and Shoot Shadow Side just so the whole package looks presentable for an online sale. The hips really stick out. Granted, the vast majority of the people buying this won't notice because of Wolverine's massive default appeal, but I'm trying to make it look attractive for the widest of nets, and the figure isn't making that particularly easy.
Honestly surprised Sephiroth isn't higher. Figure literally falls apart just trying to use his articulation, and costs more than most of the other mentions here. I know the Halo figure is super expensive (especially the exclusive version), but at least it doesn't collapse into a pile of limbs just moving it around.
Here’s a question of the day. Is it better to buy a crappy figure from a franchise you personally love? Or a great figure from a franchise that you care nothing about? The answer? It’s obviously the first one for most people. It’s why Hasbro continues to sell. They have the biggest properties and most popular. THATS…how they get away with it while they sell garbage as well as McFarlane.
Wasn't expecting to see Noble Six here, but damn does it deserve that number one spot. $200, and it can't even beat the paint job on the $10 Mcfarlane. One of the most overpriced items I've ever seen.
I got Last Stand Spidey as a gift and still feel ripped off He poses worse than some preschool toys (like Bluey figures), some older Power Rangers and even bootlegs (like the KO SHF Uzumaki Boruto)
I personally like the DP&W wolverine. the only issues I have with it are the knees being a bit too far down the legs and the the fact that he doesn't have the hinged neck peg that all wolverines and spider-mans from ML should have.
Imo I don’t think spider shot deserves to be on this list, his hips don’t really show that much when in a super dynamic pose maybe an honorable mention
I feel like that Nightwing should be higher on the list. I mean I wasn't expecting anything out of those 2 Spider-Man figures (so I didn't even bought those) but I thought Nightwing would be at least we 'good' as the other McFarlane figures - knowing McFarlane aren't that good to begin with but this is even worse! The disappointing factor would put it higher for me anyway...
Just got in the 1000 toys Noble one figure in last night.. I dont have many figures in my collection that I regret buying maybe ONE until I got this figure in. Such an ABSOLUTE waste.
I didn’t even buy it, but my pick for worst figure is the Bring Arts Cloud figure. When I saw your review I was disappointed in the figure but also glad I didn’t buy it. We’re never gonna get a good 1/12 scale Cloud it seems
those bring arts are such a shame, they should be perfect for the smash collection but they really suck specially for the price, for 80 bucks less Cloud would probably be worth it but not for what they're asking
Got the Plamatea guts on the way too. Hope he's solid, I know he's a good bit larger than the shf but that could work given he's a tall guy and spends most of the time in the armour hunched over or crouching
I would swap McFarlane Nightwing for McFarlane Batman from The Flash movie. Nighwing was weak because they wanted to go cheap with a preexisting buck. But that Batman was made all-new and it still came out hot garbage.
I feel like for noble 6 you can pick ip the spartan collection version and just mod/repaint it for a fraction of the cost. Or wait until the bootleg version. I was really unhappy with the Halo 1 master chief wrists.
@@AnthonysCustoms I picked up the halo infinite version for cheap. A little paint and some disassembly of the joints fixed most of the issues. Plus it's nice for the accessories at the very least.
Hey anthony what do you think about the ZT toys chinese company Wolverine figure compared to the ML one? I think the paint is pretty cheap but the proportions are very good on that one compared to the marvel legends. Especially when you can get ZT toys around 15$ in Aliexpress or other chinese sites
Having both the Bring Arts Sephiroth and SHF Gear 5 Luffy I can not for the life of me understand how theyre both in this list. Whereas Sephiroth is absolutely one of the worst figures in many regards and the aesthetics are his only redeeming quality, the SHF Luffy does not belong in this list at all. It’s not a perfect figure by any means, and the One Piece line started out rocky, but it is not deserving of the ridiculous hate it gets. Its only real flaw is the pants design, there was no need for the rubber overlay. Everything else is either a minor issue (the cloud) or no issue at all (the wire limbs). One of my favourite figures that I would consider buying 1 or even 2 more of just for all the posing options.
@@AnthonysCustomsoh yea If you mean how he cant hold the weight and it keeps on spinning around, is there a figure that can do it with a big sword like guts that used the same type of wrist pegs? Genuinely asking. Cause isnt it sadly just the nature of how it is? I may be wrong. But im just glad they uses ball pegs and they dont come off as easy as the first Guts
@@AnthonysCustoms how many figures with swords bigger than its own body can one hand the sword without the hand shifting under the weight? if this was a case of the hand falling off constantly like the 1st guts i'd understand the complaint but this guts can hold his sword without his hand falling off and can two hand it fine if you don't start flailing the figure about. so again? where's the issue? that you can't make him grip a sword bigger than himself and raise it straight up vertically with one arm? an argument to include a stand, sure? to pan the figure? wild.
@@Zakjuhthats how i feel. I feel its expecting something that just doesnt work due to the nature of the design. The figure holds the sword without the hands popping off easy like the 1st Guts and i am very happy about that
Here comes a new challenger!! If you had that mcfarlane batman 66 figure, im pretty sure he'd be a top contender, Holly boiled pbc batman!!! (Doesn't even come with fist 👊🏽🤛🏾)
i have like 3 marvel legends in my collection and all of them suck.. bought the spider-shot because i thought it looked cool and i can use it to customize a more militaristic spiderman with some gi joe parts but how can they release spiderman figures WITHOUT toe joints???
That Yamcha is such a disapointment. Really the worst shf I've had. I was glad when I got to sell it. Another figure I would add is the Mafex The Batman (not sure if it was 2023 or 2024 release tho). What an atrocious figure, saved only by the ammount of accesories. (More disapointing since I did like that movie a lot).
I collect McFarlane Batman figures but I can freely admit that most are less than perfect. I generally don’t collect the ancillary characters though but I still wouldn’t have bought that Nightwing because it’s does look awful. However bad McFarlane are considered to be, they are streets ahead of Marvel Legends, which are mainly total ass.
Why is the noble six’s arms and legs darker than the rest of the armor?? Is that the studio lighting or is that legit? I’m starting to regret pre ordering Jorge and Emile…
Kenshin is the most disappointing figure i didnt buy this year. I was really hoping he'd of been great sinfe rurouni kenshin is one of my favorite anime/manga.
Glad to see you included the wolverine. In my community everyone is hyping this figure. They all seem to love it. I guess I'm the only one with working eyes on that playform.
#2 Now it’s personal! lol. The bendy arms on mine work just fine! I will never claim the figure is perfect, but top 10 worst of 2024. It’s not ever the worst in that line. Kid is way worse! The robot art looks like an unpainted model kit. the cape is an abolitionist disaster , and the scar paints are incredibly inconsistent. You’re right about the cloud thing. It does fall out a lot. They should have just glued it in because he technically always has it in gear 5. I have him in that exact pose in the front of the box. Could the bendy parts be better? Sure, but it’s by far not deserving to be on a top 10 worst list of any year!
@@royal5922 Genuinely do not understand why they reengineered the crotch from the other two Luffys. They were great and worked just fine. The regular Luffys' main issue is their knees, not their crotch.

@@Shinmsl "articulation is a mess sculpt is a mess" it isn't? really? not in any way. the shoulders are perhaps the worst part and they still work just fine. and my figma guts couldn't hold his sword proper either because it's a gigantic thing that weighs as much as the figure does. i don't get the asshurt over a figure not being able to one hand free-form hold up a sword the size of its body, because i don't know many figures that actually can do that. complaining about the first guts I get, because he literally could not hold his sword without the hands popping out. but this one doesn't have that - the hands don't pop out at the slightest movement, they just lean because there's a bunch of weight tugging down on them the only argument i can seeing made here is that they should have included a stand to act as a support, which i would agree with given the price. but the figure itself is good

Seeing all your selections yes i agree completely
Honestly surprised Sephiroth isn't higher. Figure literally falls apart just trying to use his articulation, and costs more than most of the other mentions here. I know the Halo figure is super expensive (especially the exclusive version), but at least it doesn't collapse into a pile of limbs just moving it around.
He could definitely be higher. No argument
I would argue it's never good to buy bad products just because of the ip. At least sometimes it's good to buy good product regardless of ip.
Wasn't expecting to see Noble Six here, but damn does it deserve that number one spot. $200, and it can't even beat the paint job on the $10 Mcfarlane. One of the most overpriced items I've ever seen.
Thanks for saving me money.
I got Last Stand Spidey as a gift and still feel ripped off
He poses worse than some preschool toys (like Bluey figures), some older Power Rangers and even bootlegs (like the KO SHF Uzumaki Boruto)
Excited for the Top 10 best! Yeah, that Guts figure looks horrible.
More than fair.
Good stuff, as always (or should that be bad stuff?)
McFarlane should get their own worst figure list given the number of turds they've released and re released this year 😂
I still have that original Joyride version of Master Chief.
Same. They're so good for what they are
Here's hoping the SH Figuarts Venom 3 and Deku aren't bad
Venom is pretty much the same as the other one, just repainted.
Anthony already reviewed the first one.
Not into anime so don't know or am interested in most of these figures. Can't wait for the Ten worst marvel Legends thought lol. That will be fun.
Hope he's solid, I know he's a good bit larger than the shf but that could work given he's a tall guy and spends most of the time in the armour hunched over or crouching
enjoy trying to make the legs not fall off
@Zakjuh Oh is that an already known issue with it? Damn berserk figures really are cursed lol
I just bought the model kit version of berserker guts instead hopefully its better than S.h. figuarts.
I'll be reviewing it. It looks much better in the photos
I would swap McFarlane Nightwing for McFarlane Batman from The Flash movie. Nighwing was weak because they wanted to go cheap with a preexisting buck. But that Batman was made all-new and it still came out hot garbage.
Yeah. I agree. I just didn't want to talk about that one again and Nightwing could've been so cool
Mr Anthony what was in fact wrong with the Ruruoni Kenshin figure because it looks great
Check the review and then watch the tanjiro review
The legs looking like they belong on a Transformer.
I’m surprised Griffith didn’t make the list😂
Griffith did it last year with Guts. ;-)
11:59 Yeah, if you want a highly painted figure, you'll have to collect Marvel Legends lol
I feel like for noble 6 you can pick ip the spartan collection version and just mod/repaint it for a fraction of the cost. Or wait until the bootleg version. I was really unhappy with the Halo 1 master chief wrists.
Yes about Spartan Collection. No about the bootleg. 1000k bootlegs look terrible imo
I'm not really a fan of zt toys but i haven't looked into that figure specifically
I agree that the gear 5 luffy was disappointing still love it one of my fave figs and I hate the smoke part but love my gear5 great choices great vid
One of my favourite figures that I would consider buying 1 or even 2 more of just for all the posing options.
its. not as funny if not dominated by McF and Hasbro 🤣...happy holidays @AC.
That berserker armor guts is in my top 10 favorites. I love that thing. I love its articulation and sculpt. Only thing agree with is the price is ass.
Doesn't it bother you that he can't hold his sword?
The figure holds the sword without the hands popping off easy like the 1st Guts and i am very happy about that
Fail: Mezco Batman 1989
11:45 yeesh, Anthony... don't make me feel old. 😆
Tell me about it. Everything i want to reference now is 20 years ago but i swear it was just last year.
What’s the point of toe joints when the ML Spider-Man figures mostly have terrible hip joints. ;-)
@scolioreset That's what I've always said. They have terrible hips and ankles range that having a toe joints is worthless
Waaa... i was thinking about that Berserk aarmored one 😅😂
YOOOO you aint lying about that WOLVERINE idk why people are putting it in their top 10
Are they really? Maybe for things they like but definitely not for quality
@AnthonysCustoms agreed he looks like someone cosplaying wolverine not actual wolverine lol
Oh that Kenshin looks soooo bad.
Great list all very bad figures good thing I didn't get any of em lol
Why is the noble six’s arms and legs darker than the rest of the armor?? Is that the studio lighting or is that legit? I’m starting to regret pre ordering Jorge and Emile…
It's not the lighting
@ oh no…
reddit nerds gonna be fuming about wolverine being on this list
Oh no
Guts should have been higher ngl
Of it was the other one it would have been.
@AnthonysCustoms at least the others in the list can pose and do what there meant to do and the guts can't even hold the sword or pose well
@@ALTstopmotion heat of passion guts can pose great tf are you talking about
@@Zakjuh he can bearly hold the sword his potpotions are extremely off you can get 1-5 good poses
Kenshin is the most disappointing figure i didnt buy this year. I was really hoping he'd of been great sinfe rurouni kenshin is one of my favorite anime/manga.
I hope you get the chance to review Kaiyodo Revoltech Batmen arkham night figure. I am interested to see what you think about it.
I'm going to but it's not making a top list due to the legs and stature
| Hell Yeahh!
Top 10 Jada Street Fighters? Haha, yeah that probably wouldn't happen.
Are there 10 even out yet?
@@Shinmsl Once Blanka and Sagat are released, they should have over ten figures excluding p2 and evil variants.
15 minutes ago is wiiiild
For the price, yeah it's pretty bad.
Nah the crotch piece on luffy is one of the worst things SHF have ever done
@@royal5922 Genuinely do not understand why they reengineered the crotch from the other two Luffys. They were great and worked just fine. The regular Luffys' main issue is their knees, not their crotch.
@@theramblinmahoney2316 it’s not that expensive
@@royal5922 don’t recall him talking about the crotch. I haven’t messed around with mine in a minute, but I don’t remember an issue with the crotch.
McFarlane toys should be all of them
Absolute bullshit having Guts at 5. Nonsense. Boycott Anthony's customs. Its an extremely quality product, lost all credibility because mans butthurt people flame him about the terrible takes on those figures. Im not even defending it because i own it, im defending it because he made 0 actual reasons why its bad other than its bad 💀 nonsense. Bro sucks and loves to be spiteful. Unsubscribe
yeah, heat of passion is actually good
You should watch the proper review for that
Babbling to justify a waste of a purchase lol
@@Shinmsl "articulation is a mess sculpt is a mess"
it isn't? really? not in any way. the shoulders are perhaps the worst part and they still work just fine. and my figma guts couldn't hold his sword proper either because it's a gigantic thing that weighs as much as the figure does. i don't get the asshurt over a figure not being able to one hand free-form hold up a sword the size of its body, because i don't know many figures that actually can do that. complaining about the first guts I get, because he literally could not hold his sword without the hands popping out. but this one doesn't have that - the hands don't pop out at the slightest movement, they just lean because there's a bunch of weight tugging down on them
the only argument i can seeing made here is that they should have included a stand to act as a support, which i would agree with given the price. but the figure itself is good
I love how these videos bring out the copers and white knights. Have to justify that unwise spending.
