I would like to mention Lerdzila. Man could lean backwards out of the way of an attack and circle around the opponent simultaneously. His evasion skills are insane.
Hi Shane i have improved a lot in my boxing skill just because of you and you are doing great for college students 😉 cuz we can't afford much more time to dedicate for boxing class offline love from India ❤️
Niccolino Locche, 117 Wins (14 Knockouts), 4 Defeats, 14 Draw, 1 No Contest. Made his opponent fall down by dodging a punch, during a match for the WBA title. Sometimes, he would smoke between rounds 😀
I have a video request :) Could you make a video on different stances but putting the emphasis on the angle of one's hips toward the opponent. I'll elaborate. when I box, thai box, wrestle, my tendency- by choice- is to have a standard guard and stance, but to have my hips facing the opponent squarely. This provides me with a more even distribution of power(for hands) and quicker rear leg kicks- front/push kick is more snappy and has more power, and low/middle /highs have less power, but are faster and harder to see coming as the distance of the rotation is smaller. The main disadvantage is that sometimes i get caught with a pounch or frontkick down my center line, which basically often = KO.And There is also takedown/td defense aspect. The second but related part is the angle of the feet. Some ppl have foot 1 at +- 1:30 and foot 2 at 3 o'clock. others have 1st foot straight forward and second at 1-2 o'clock. So if you could compare the adv disadvantages of different angles of feet when in standard stance...
I think you should study the ufc interim bantamweight champ Petr Yan. He has splendid double forearm guard defense and has threats in all aspects of MMA
Jorge paez had his own way of making guys miss (x y axis coming in) and making them pay. Leonard leaned back from hooks (z axis) in 2nd half of hagler fight and made hagler look like an amateur. Nunn and kalambay in the 90's were great at leaning back matrix style, with kalambay vs nunn not ending anywhere near what i had anticipated. When kevin rooney worked with pazienza for the 3rd haugen fight, he had paz moving his head beautifully, then paz dumped rooney and resorted back to charging in face first like before.
Hey Shane. We've never met before but man thank you so much for your videos on your channel. I've used so many of your videos to build myself as a marital artist. Thank you so much for these video's. Merry safe and happy Christmas. I always remake myself after trying one of your videos. Thank you again💪💪💪💪
The best defensive fighter of all time is Nicolino Locche.. He was 117 and 4… Inducted in the boxing hall of fame in 2003. No one even comes close my man. He’s the GOAT. Check out his highlights
Shane, some guy tried to tell me that a big guy with small hands won't have knock-out power. I find this hard to believe. I mean, if 2 guys who are 250 lbs hit you with all their might, one of them having big hands and one having small hands, that's still 250 lbs of force coming at your face, no matter what. I can't imagine the guy with smaller hands would magically have less force even though he has the same weight behind his punch. But what would you have to aay about that?
I need some advice. When I am dodging a punch and leaning back (z axis), my body takes a hit because it's over exposed. Should I drop my hands to protect my body and trust in my head movement or should I back out of striking range entirely and lose the distance?
shoulder role. keeping your lead hand lower and the back hand up. At the end it seems you get counter by your opponent and you might be to predictable. You could fight with you upper body leaning forward to mix it up so when you move your upper body backwards you are in neutral position.
well always take a step back if possible, u can always take a step back forward, some hits are inevitable, you should always trust your head movement especially if you do it well, just stay confident but vigilante. dont drop your hands unless you are out of range from being hit or comfortable u wont get hit. even with a forward stance like canelo alvarez you can drop your shoulder and roll. as a professional like him he doesnt drop his hands very often at all. edit- if u lean back canelo does so too, dont just sit there after leaning back thats when the head movement comes into play side to side or to duck back forward and counter. i keep mentioning him because if you watch some of his fights you might be able to get what i mean

Underrated comment.
he can even lean back so low he can dodge a body kick
Lerdsila fify...
Naseem hamed was a pretty good boxer with headmovement like that as well

@@Twobarpsi I realized afterwards that I misspelled his name but now that it's pinned I can't change it. Oh well.

That thumbnail deserves another RUclips trophy lool

Canelo also has great head movement. The compilation video on RUclips called "Canelo Alvarez - defensive slips and rolls" is a thing of beauty 👌

Love this! Thank you for the vid!

Neo is Greek for the word new.
Amazing video. Z axis part blew my mind
Can't wait
Good techniques, I will improve for my training, thanks for your share.

Great video! I'm pretty sure just wearing those shades will improve your head movement
Great video since I saw it the month it's been released and why the thumbnail so badass 😎💯💯

Heat seeking punches, I died
You do look natural with those awesome glasses on

Ali’s head movement was unparalleled, period
Nah, Ali's main speciality was his footwork
Neo better

Ohh shittt...coincidentally today i'm watching matrix series, and you make this video😯🤣
Great explanation

Most people worry too much about moving their head when the direction your chin is moving is more important.
Another great video. Thanks for breaking down a critical tool gentleman
Hi shane. Can you make a guide for choosing glove sizes for muay thai and boxing? Thank you 😁
Damn it Shane! i told my teachers I’d never have to use math outside of school ever!

*Me after watching this video* I know head movement ….
My mates: Show me!
it said "how to obtain head" in my subscription box and I clicked so fast
The real chosen onde lmao
This whole epizode is so damnn funny xD

I agree with you. Smaller hands may be more susceptible to breaks or injuries, but not less knockout power.
Shane! The matrix legend😁
That intro 👌😎
Daaaym that's sick
Any recommendations for when I'm practicing at home without a partner?
Teppojutsu + Head Movement = Keanu Reeves
Legendary
There's a ufc guy who does this matrix stuff called Fiziev
I think it’s either Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran, or Joe Louis
Blue pill requiered to enter theaters. The irony.
Hahaha digged this vid
Never trust a marilal arts instructor unless he wears sunglasses
I learned how to dodge from Dragonball Z abridged.
Was that actual Keanu saying your actual name? Am I crazy? I don't see anybody commenting on that
For real!
Lerdsila. For sure.
Nicolino locche has best head movements
Looks like the Guy from darude sandstorm with them glasses
Is it just me or does vince really like grids?
Lomachenko
The only math I understand
how to obtain head 🤩
movements like neo 😔
If you fight with sunglasses. Then everything works. Especially when you block a sword with karate chop.
Step one:
Wear sunglasses during the fight.
Lomachenoko
What did y’all think of matrix 4
You mean like lomachenko right?
Lerdsila comes closest to Neo

How we not gonna talk ab Lomachenko in the Matrix?
I am much more fluent at evading in kickboxing but in boxing sometimes I suck😑😐😶
There is no spoon
Now how to dodge like Albert Wesker.
😆 funny clip
Can you put the arabc translation please
but what if you punch him in the stomach
Exactly -- go to the body/legs against someone who wants you to swing at their head.
The glasses are disturbing 😂
Dominick Cruz
Muhammed Ali in my opinion xD
Dodge this
Canelo's head movement 🤔
Anderson Silva's head movement was second to none, until he got caught and knocked out
Man’s was getting cocky
Would that be Neo from the original trilogy, or Neo from the recent garbage reboot?
Gokus mui
Rocky Balboa probaly has the best head movement of all time
Floyd
More like how to be dominick cruz
Or just take the red pill 👍😂😂😂
Pro tip - Don't drop your hands.
Not necessarily!
Lerdsila

Don’t take the blue pill..
