Very informative. What kind of guitar do you play looks like a Yamaha.

I guessed it was the FG375S or FG365S from yesteryear….well done, some of those laminate tops from early 80’s sound great! You got a winner there! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

    Question G
    When to change strings
How long approx b4 buying & fitting a new set?
    Thnx in advance 🙏✌🏽

It depends on several things. The quality of the strings, the humidity in your area, whether you keep your guitar in your case or your guitar stand, whether you wipe your guitar down and clean your strings off after you play. That's just a few. When I was gigging once a week and playing almost every day I would change my guitar strings about every two weeks. But that was because I was performing. I would say to change them when they start to feel uncomfortable or sound dull. I would always have a backup pack in my guitar case, if not several. You can spend extra money on strings like Elixirs which sound good for much longer, or you could just buy cheap strings and change them more often. But I would say keep them clean with a guitar string polish like Fast Fret and a clean towel and just change them when they start to sound bad.

I would say for most people maybe once every 2 months.

      @@grogueQ ok thanks
I renewed my strings this morning after about 3 months of daily playing
As they sounded dull earlier in the week
Also completed a general clean of the fretboard & wipe over
All good now for another spell 🙏👍
