I find it so ironic that Tennessee is passing a law for teachers to pass background checks, mental health included, safety training and a license.....everything the GOP stands AGAINST for all their NRA buddies.

Hypocrisy has always been a major theme with the Republicans, do as I say not as I do, I mean they all claim to be Christians while their morals and ethics standard are such Jesus would have seen fit to throw them out of the temple. They peddle their morals and ethics to the highest bidders, added to that their entire driving motivation is wealth and power, nothing else & no one else.
I thought the same exact thing and I would have loved for the commentators to expand on it. In fact, I have already started to draft an outline for an editorial about this irony to submit to national and local papers.
Background checks and firearms traing for teachers is very important so we can trust that they are able to handle guns responsibly.
It must be noted that teachers are NOT REGULAR PEOPLE.
Regular people therefore don't need the same tests and training.

I loved the sketch artist's response. "Are his eyes closed?" "I don't know. I was having trouble seeing his eyes so I had to leave them out of the drawing." Honest. Perhaps the only really honest report of the entire trial, so far.
I pity the poor Secret Service agent who has to follow Trump around picking up his turds.

The American people are paying for that 22 car motorcade to take Trump to and from court each day.
The Secret Service is almost certainly renting space from Trump to house themselves during the trial. If he stays at Trump properties, they have to; at book rate, no doubt. As usual.

Jon Stewart is definitely the funniest guy in the US. A raised eyebrow, a twitch of the mouth says so much. I'm on the floor, trying to stop the belly ache from laughing, and this is the second time I've watched this, and it's STILL funny. I love this guy.
