Just showed my mom this video because she’s very into this stuff too. I absolutely love that saying you told “One bite to say hello Second bite to linger or mingle a little bit Third bite to say goodbye When eating a special sugary treat”
Hi I just saw ur video and I loved it ! I quit sugar since 2 days to detox and reset my body and be more healthy and get rid diabetes! Hugs From Brazil! !!!
Excellent advice! Thank you, Jordan. I'm on Keto, so I stay away from bread and baked goods. I don't drink sodas or eat sugary things like candies or chocolates. So, I've cut out all sugar, except I have a bad habit of using a little sugar and cream in my morning coffee. My goal is to get rid of that, maybe by transitioning to iced tea in the mornings. I've always liked iced tea with just lemon, no sugar. It's going to be hard to quit coffee with sugar and cream! I'm not really a smoothie type, but I might try berry smoothies with no added sugar. But getting off of caffeine is scary, so I'll probably try the iced tea path.
Thank you so much for sharing this! So helpful. I agree, I think it's a balance. So often we want to cut something out 100% like caffeine. But we forget there is a middle ground (like delicious iced tea!) that is much more enjoyable than full restriction 🙂
@@nellydaniela7960 Thanks for the suggestion, nelly! Yes, I have been using stevia part of the time, but what I'm really hoping to do is change my taste so that I don't need any kind of sweetener at all.
Today I went out and had an Ice cream cone. It's been 1 yr since I have not eaten Ice cream if you can believe that. I really don't like to have dairy cus it hurts my tummy. But I really wanted a cone and it was so good at that moment but now my tummy hurts, Its sucks. I going to try cutting sugar from my coffee like you suggested I really like to have it black one day. Wish me luck.
Puppies!!! 🐶❤️🐶❤️ My notifications were turned off and I’ve missed sooo many videos of yours 😭 Now I’m going to have to take the day off and binge watch 👍🏻
it's hard to consume less sugar when you live with your family 🙃 it was easy to avoid added sugar when i live alone during university. I almost only had them like special day such as when I finished my assignment/ presentation. it was 'sweeter' than having them regularly. you're not lying tho 😃
Great video, Jordan! I agree about artificial sweeteners. I'm definitely guilty of this! Up until recently I've been using the sugar-free Torani flavored syrups in my coffee (sucralose-based), and I drink a lot of those ICE brand zero-calorie carbonated beverages (more sucralose...) and reluctantly have to admit I feel a lot better without all that fake sugar in my system. :*( I know it's going to be tough to cut out, but so worth it. Thanks for another informative video!
Jordan Waddell the only place I struggle with added sugar is in my morning London fog. We make them at home instead of buying them. Would swapping stevia for sugar be sufficient?
You can totally experiment here! I've been experimenting with a coconut powder creamer by Laird Superfoods. It is completely unsweetened and I happen to really like the subtle coconut flavor and natural sweetness. A couple other great natural options are coconut crystals or a local honey or maple syrup. I tend to opt for a sweetener that is the least processed as possible, but keep trying until you find something you feel really good about AND tastes good!
I appreciate this video on reducing sugar intake and love your positivity, but I’m so sad to see you cooking with hacked up animals and their secretions. Unsubscribing.
I decided to cut out sugar from my diet yesterday, but hadn’t known how to go about it, then you posted this video 😭😭 God bless you!
woohoo!! So glad you found the video helpful and the timing was right! 👌🏽

I just ordered Kelly’s books. I am looking forward to reading them since I’m wanting to make changes to my diet ☺️
They are SO good! Very valuable info. She also just started a podcast! 👏🏼

Ahh! I hate when that happens...but I also kind of love it because then I have a TON of content to watch!
I love these recipes. Simple ingredients. Subscribed.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great advice, thank you!☀️
Can’t do smoothies what else do you suggest?
Hi! Who is that person that you are mentioning on about 3:30? Cant find her books anywhere. Maybe I got the name wrong 😋
Search Kelly LeVeque! Her book is called Body Love.
Thank you! Got her podcast already 💕💕💕

So true!
Hi Jordan! What was the name of the podcast you mentioned regarding the 3 bites?
It's called Pardon my French by Ingrid de la Mare Kenny!
Do you drink coffee? If not...would love to hear how you got off it.
I don’t understand why a little maple syrup in some granola is that bad.
I love to see the doggies 😍

You got this Christa! I know those sweeteners are just as addicting as sugar. Take it slow and you'll get there. Don't beat yourself up!
Where are you on your journey with being more mindful of sugar?!
