Hey thanks for the shout-out! With Switch 2 being backwards compatible, I hope they keep the IR scanner. I play Ring Fit Adventure, and it's a neat feature to be able to check my pulse after every level. Knowing Nintendo, I'm sure they will make more fitness games, and being able to check one's pulse is a nice feature. Perhaps the IR scanner in the Swirch 2 will be more accurate, which could encourage them to utilize it more often. I also got a shovelware game called Night Vision, that uses the sensor as a night vision camera. That's all it does, not really a game. But it was on sale for $2 so I picked it up. Only used it a couple times. But that night vision feature could be interesting if it were somehow incorporated into an actual game.
@@ScurvyBay Yo! Glad you appreciated the shout out 🐵 Also, didn’t realise you were also a fellow Ring Fit Adventure fan 💪 If I see Night Vision for £2 I might pick it up as I think my son could have a lot of fun with that. But yes, more detailed scanners in the future would be cool! I actually want them to keep the technology and develop/ integrate it further within their games. It shouldn’t be long now before we find out what we’re getting 🥳
I think another use for the IR scanner could be using it as a “paintbrush/pen” kinda thing, like holding it above a flat surface and drawing out different things. I don’t know how many games this would work for, but it could be interesting I think a few reasons it was so underutilised was that only the right controller had it, which goes against the Switch’s idea of sharing the console with others, as whoever got the left joy con wouldn’t be able to join in, and it’s in an awkward place too, so it would be hard to use attached to the switch, and if you were to use it detached, all the buttons and stuff are on the other side if you were using it with the IR scanner facing up
Hey, what a great response! I love the idea of using it as a paintbrush or pen, especially as the proximity detection could also translate to pressure or thickness of the brush/ pen stroke... very cool! A fair point about it being somewhat restricted by only being on the right Joy-Con controller. Although, I still think that there is much room to include it in single player experiences. I also think that there are a lot of people out there with two sets of Joy-Con controllers. I wonder what new experiences a combination of two IR scanners for single player experiences could provide?
I admire your dedication to mastering everything... When a born superstar chooses tech instead lol, love the way you explain things so seriously,it's professional and truly convincing. Your exponential rise is just around the corner, trust me, Keep it up!
Rip the cow milking game 😅 Excellent discussion video dude. I'd like to dm ya if that's ok about a future collaboration if that's something you'd be up for, of course. Have a great day man

When you come back, let us know what ideas you have as to how Nintendo could have implemented the IR scanner!
WAHOOO! EPIC video dude! I had no idea the controller could even do all that lol 👻
@@gameonghost thanks so much dude! Yeah the Joy-Cons are pretty amazing pieces of technology! Still blows me away to this day ❤️
