    Hi Allen Im absolutely loving all the content your making at the moment it's so well done and has so much good information. I have a question I'm just getting back into fishing as a whole and I'm really just starting to use soft plastics for the first time I have all the right gear for it but I can't seem to catch anything for the life of me at the moment I am stuck land based is there anywhere in Melbourne I can go where I'll definitely catch some fish

      Thank you, i really appreciate the positive feedback, so much time and effort goes into the vids so great to know they are appreciated. Great to hear your getting into soft plastics fishing. It can be a real confidence battle at first when your not catching, but you start to work things out and its such a fun form of fishing. Right now is the best time for land based plastics fishing as the water temp is at its warmest above 20 degrees and the volume of pinkies especially but also bream, flathead, whiting etc are in good numbers. Id recommend spots like wangim walk geelong, sandringham breakwall, st leonards jetty, lorimar street pier you should be able to pickup a few pinkies and others at these spots. Hope that helps

      @@fishingmad thanks so much I will definitely have to give them a try I've gotten a few pinkies but it have been a very enjoyable form of fishing and it's been good to get out there and fish again

    It's a big system, I tried Yak fishing there last year when it was flooded out and I didn't even get a bite in two days of fishing.

    Hey Alan have you ever tried out Nitro rods? If so what are your thoughts/experience? I got an old UL one that’s done me well for a few years.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah many years ago I tried the Nitro rods, they seemed really good. Just don't see them in a lot of tackle stores these days I know a few who stock them.

    Awesome video mate, my best flatty out of Tyers went 94cm. You should also try Paynesville. Harder to find fish out there but I pulled a 83cm flatty last weekend

      Thanks !! I reckon hard to be Mill Point and Fisherman's landing, 2 brilliant spots for land based fishing. I've seen some big flathead and bream caught at both spots.

    Hey Alan, Great video, was just wondering if you could make a new video fishing on the mornington peninsula side of ppb. Cheers, keep the uploads coming!

      Thanks !! 100% working on it. I've just finished some local content and will be fishing West Port and Sth PPB Mornington side next month. Traffic has just been a nightmare the last 12 months near the west gate with the new fwy works, so I've limited heading that way a tad. Cheers

    another amazing episode. The bream and flathead up at lake tyers are known to get very big. heard and seen some people catching 50cm bream and flathead over a meter there. have a go at the toorloo arm, heard of some people catching nice flathead up there.

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks !! Yeah whilst we were there we saw a few huge fish pulled and 100% agree there are flatties over a meter and bream up to 50cm. We fished a lot closer to the entrance, id love to spend a few more days up there moving way up the arms fishing areas that get very little pressure, I think ill prob hit lakes entrance next time up there too
