Lake Tyers Victoria Fishing Year 3 Episode 3 Travelling Australia

Our next stop was only 96km away at Lake Tyers Beach.
We stayed at the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern, also known as The Waterwheel Beach Tavern, Wow what a location and better still it completely FREE for 2 nights including power, water hook ups at every site AND 2 amenities blocks & a laundry, $4 a load for washing. A small fee of $25 per night after your first 2 nights stay, just let them know at the Tavern that you’re staying longer.
We put the tinny in and fished every part possible of Lake Tyers. John landed a nice 70cm Flathead and we reeled in lots of Bream.
A huge amount of rain had the fishing quieter than usual and the lake was ready to burst, it was so close to breaking into the surf and many locals had everything crossed hoping for this to happen, it hadn’t broken through when we left but they had another downpour of rain that morning. The lake actually could do with a good flush out.
Lakes Entrance is only 9km away and has all your shopping needs covered, including a Saturday Twilight market once a month.
There was a carnival set up along the waterfront during our visit and the lunar moon was perfect for a big prawn run.
