For those of us sitting in our homes and looking at our nails and missing our salons, these nail kits are just FINE. I had hoped by Easter that my salon would be open again, but it wasn't so I purchased the "Salon Dip Color System." I've used these products before. Are they as good as the lady at my salon? NO WAY! First off, they aren't nearly as funny as she is and she makes my nails beautiful. However, these kits will have to do until this is over. Stay well everyone. :)
There's a lot of different kits available now, theres no time like the present to start trying things out. Maybe you'll get good and save money on nails! A lot of these are quite easy to use, dip powder or this brush on gel is basically just the same as painting your nails.
I tried that kit last summer and, yes, that is super glue in gel form!!! When I tried the kit, just as you did, followed instructions to a T. I used the natural tips on all 10 nails and right after I actually used actual gel polish base coat, gel nail color and gel top coat curing them (all coats of all 3) as usual. That mani lasted me 2 full weeks without breakages and/or lifting and I was rough in my nails!! I work receiving/dispatching/handling/sorting mail (from boxes to envelopes) in a warehouse style environment (grungy, fast pace, not dainty work at all!) and I also did all my regular house chores and then some since my husband was away for work at the time and they still help up perfectly!!! I just removed them after 2 weeks because the growth was not helpful at work. It was a great jumpstart for my nails after having most of them break within a week which is why I chose the kit on the first place. I just wish this video had been available then because listening to you is so pleasant, as always, and I would have enjoyed the instructions being accompanied with your voice and expertise as opposed to the others I found. At least others trying it out now can enjoy it though!

I really wish it would become illegal for these companies to put "Gel" on products that aren't actual gel. They're preying on people who don't know the difference. Those "Gel" nail polishes that are just regular polish bother me the most. If it's not in an opaque container and doesn't need a UV or LED to cure, it isn't gel and they shouldn't be allowed to say it is.

I used this product and my nails lasted for almost 2 weeks. I did my normal chores and did a lot of typing. By the 14 day mark, I filled them in per the package instructions, except I added the "gel" and activator to the length of the nail and got another 5 days of wear. I really like the product. The ease of removal was also a big plus. I will probably purchase this product again.
@@YourSpeechMommy Hi, I saturated a cotton ball with Acetone polish remover and put it on the nail and wrapped a piece of tinfoil around each nail and left them for about 5 minutes. This kit is my favorite, honestly. I rarely use the tips, just do it as an overlay. Yeah they’re nothing special but I have super brittle nails since I’m always in water/chemicals. So this helps me keep length/strength without spending $70 every 3 weeks.

Thank you! I just recently smashed all of my nails from having a door fall on them! Yet, the whole door and frame came out from the wall and my nails took the brunt. I ended up getting a lot of vertical splits in the nail bed. My beautician told me to put tips on the nails to secure the top edge of my nail so that any stress wouldn't cause the splits to go deeper. I saw this product at the store, and I brought it home. Saw your application for it and they turned out pretty good! I am coming up to one week of wear with the nails with three coats of color. I am seeing growth down at my cuticle so hopefully, this will be my saving grace until these splits grow out of my nail bed. It was a great tip from my beautician and you did a wonderful job of showing how easy they are to put on! Thank you once again!

Thank you so much Suzie for the video! I got this kit but for whatever reason, the instructions weren't nearly as detailed as yours so I was confused and didn't know where to start. Really appreciate it!
The cracking happens because u need to leave the glue set between each layer, the activator goes at very very right end. my first kit was Cosmar brand, and experience through all these years (+25) taught me that.
They looked so good right after you did the nails, I was super surprised about they way they looked after 5 days 😳 This was very educational an very great way too show us how too apply this set! Thank you! 💅
I ran out of brush on gel last time I used this kit. Noticing how it smelled so similar to straight-up super glue and how the ingredients were nearly identical, I used run-of-the-mill super glue I got from the hardware aisle in place of the "gel". It worked perfectly fine. Pretty much exactly the same as the gel. It also created the same/similar finishing effect when used with the activator.
@@scottishlynds No, sorry, gel, activator, gel, activator, and then gel once more, final coat activator, then file and shape once dry, then cover with polish or top coat. I realize that wasnt very clear. lol

You’re absolutely lovely. You feel like a “friend”. Beautiful voice and very professional video, showing your work (tutorial) ftom many different angles. Thank you so much!
If you wanted to extend the length on these particular nails could you form and sculpt them longer whether it is acrylic or gel? Even though it is suppose to be or can be an alternative to going to the salon or for the cost factor or for a quick manicure for last minute plans.
If you want your nails longer than what these tips provide in the package, I would not bother with these particular nails then. Just sculpt informed as you normally would with out adding this inside there be no point

The best video. I watched ALL of them because I didn't wanted to destroy my own fingernails and loved how you explained everything! Thank you!!! I will give them a try!
I have tried these before. It’s resin and definitely not gel. Mine came out like crap. You did a much better job!
I have used exactly the same and its horrible
Its a disaster🙈
Thank you so much Suzie for the video! I got this kit but for whatever reason, the instructions weren't nearly as detailed as yours so I was confused and didn't know where to start. Really appreciate it!
I think you were supposed to clean the activator brush between each nail D: that way you don't get the "gel" into the activator.
Is this why my brush didn't survive? This kind of makes sense. Hmmmm.
I run right to your videos when I get kits like this!!! 💕💕💕
The cracking happens because u need to leave the glue set between each layer, the activator goes at very very right end. my first kit was Cosmar brand, and experience through all these years (+25) taught me that.
Love your “Making Spirits Bright” towel. I know it’s a small detail, but I needed that little spark of happiness today 🧡 thanks for making the video!
They looked so good right after you did the nails, I was super surprised about they way they looked after 5 days 😳 This was very educational an very great way too show us how too apply this set! Thank you! 💅

Suzie, I just love u and enjoy your videos. I’ve done dip powder and gel and always wondered about these press one’s. I love you calm and soft voice!
@@scottishlynds I just used the activator on top, filed to shape, and put a regular ole top coat on.
@@scottishlynds No, sorry, gel, activator, gel, activator, and then gel once more, final coat activator, then file and shape once dry, then cover with polish or top coat. I realize that wasnt very clear. lol
They looked great for a special occasion..your doggy 🐕 is fit so funny xx
Hi Suzie! Thank you for all you've thought me...
Stay safe, sending love from 🇳🇬
I have watched so many of these videos an gave up last night because people was using their own stuff not in the package an stuff not being much help. Then this morning you pooped up and you explain so well and you kept my attention the whole time thank you so much!
I’m trying to figure out what I should do since I can’t go get a gel fill in! Might just have to go this route til my nail place opens back up!
I used these years ago when it first came out. What a mess! I didn’t realize it was glue and my brush got all screwed up ,I got them on and I couldn’t get them off ,it was a clumpy giant disaster. I’m so glad I saw you did this and now I know better with all the dip nails etc. etc. I may buy this again and try it now that the expert showed me what to do! Love your channel!❤️🐶
Should the activator brush go back into the cleaner each time as you’re mixing products? Just a thought! They looked really sweet X
Thank you so much for the tutorial! While dealing the COVID situation I still really wanted my nails done. But! I didn't want to go to a shop to have them done. I bought the kit and didn't quite understand the method just by reading the directions. So, I followed you step by step and I'm so pleased with the results! Thanks again!
Fabulous- i love this
Really happy to see Suzie test out a set like this :D I always wondered if they would last!
I really love u I haven’t done nails in about 5 years after I had to stop working and I’ve been going to my favorite nail tech but this quarantine has had me in the house so I ordered a lot of different stuff and I watch ur videos and my nails and my daughters nails have been looking amazing I love the way u talk us thru everything u do thank u so much❤️
I wasn’t sure if it would look good but it did. Thank you for sharing with us. Videos are keeping me from going crazy 😜. Thank you 🙏 again.
I just can’t stop looking at your hair!! It’s beautiful and great tutorial
Nice, I’ve never seen this process before, It’s similar to dip powder nails without the powder 😅
Yeah it totally is!

Fantastic! Beautiful, information, light and positive video. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I love this kit when I can’t afford the salon! I do 4 layers tho!! And I file and shape the tips into more of a coffin shape before applying gel and they look so dainty and pretty and smooth after. Also I use Kiara sky bond before the “gel” too
Love your videos! You are Very Good at keeping it simple & easy to understand! I love your dog!
Thanks for such a great review and for showing us the 5 day wear! I've learned so much from your videos :)
Thanks for posting/making this video! Mom bought these for both of us and it helps us decide whether or not to actually wear them but I do have to say, that your precious dog was the star of the video!
It is definitely a glue. I've been tempted to try this kit since I have tried and liked the acrylic kit but not the strong smell of the monomer & am currently using their dip powder system.
You’re absolutely lovely. You feel like a “friend”. Beautiful voice and very professional video, showing your work (tutorial) ftom many different angles. Thank you so much!
Ahhh❤️I am yr friends- I’m only a click away 😁
@@NailCareerEducation you made my day a beautiful day 😊
If you wanted to extend the length on these particular nails could you form and sculpt them longer whether it is acrylic or gel? Even though it is suppose to be or can be an alternative to going to the salon or for the cost factor or for a quick manicure for last minute plans.
If you want your nails longer than what these tips provide in the package, I would not bother with these particular nails then. Just sculpt informed as you normally would with out adding this inside there be no point
Whenever I watch your videos I am so pleased with your personality. Your disposition is so pleasant. Thank you for the info. I bought one of these kits for a quick set, and I needed to know from the top of the line teacher what she thought of it ❤ thank you again.
With everyone home people are going to be doing there nails!
It’s keeping me calm !
Ava Barrons-Shasho well that is great! Anything that helps you and doesn’t hurt anyone else I’m all for! I wish you the best dear and I hope you are stress free soon. 😊
I actually do it for years now...lol...using a 3 in 1 hard gel
Yes I just made my first video about refilling nails with nail dip because I couldn't take it I had to do something
I'm almost a pro. Saved soooooooo much money😉🤑🤗💅🏽
Hey Suzie I like how you go into detail your a Blessing Thank you💛💜💛
So much work for so little wear. I would rather use press-on “gels” I can get to last up to two weeks.
Julia G. I agree!! I’m thinking it would be good for a mother of the bride weekend thing. Or bridesmaids who want to all match for a reasonable price. Otherwise, a hard no for me personally.
Which press on nails stay on 2 weeks. I feel the same about this ones, too much work for such little time.
@@Jassesme26 I have used the kiss stick on gel nails and they last 2 weeks (i wore them for a week in italy back in October, and they were on for over a week after that)
Yep! Mine last 3 weeks! The Gel Fantasy line is the best out there.
@@Jassesme26 The Kiss Gel Fantasy, as others have said. Although I just tried another set recently and some nails popped off within hours. Overall I have had very good luck with them but sometimes they just won't cooperate. I've learned it's kind of a gamble every time. I only use the tabs though, never the glue.
I love this girls videos every single time I get a kit like this and I know I need help. I go to RUclips and she pops up and she always explains it simple where I can understand nail logic lol ❤❤❤
I honestly bought this kit just for the tips. I’m planning on attaching them with super glue (and not using the gel/activator combo) and adding dip powder on top. Hopefully that will end up working well, especially since my nail salon is closed 🤷🏻♀️
@@scottishlynds 'dip powder' is basically acrylic powder. There are videos on dip powder nails by suzie
Do you remember how it worked out? I’m planning on doing this too
The update is so vital, thanks for including it!
When did you adopt a dog? You should tell us more about him. He's adorable. 💗
MissouriPride USA who cares about her dog

I do! There's no need to be rude or hateful.
@@missouriprideusa6241 i do too. I have a Chinese crested pp. And am so glad to see the dkg!
AWE! ''Puppy'' is really cute!! Thanks for the tutorial!!
🐶🐶
Omg Fair Bear!!! I can't with that doggie! That brush on gel is totally nail glue...those cracks resemble the kind you get using nail glue
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, the details, patience, up close view and your calming voice to assure its okay if it’s not perfect. No worries you get what you pay for. It’ll do for a quick getting by for a week nail fix. However although I’ve already spent my money for this kit I don’t think I’ll buy it again. Can you do a video of how to remove the gel from your nails without damaging them? I’ve already subscribed. I like your tutorial.
I just got these recently, didn’t hold up as well for me but turned out beautiful on you!
same. I don't know if i did it right or what but they popped off a day after but they look awesome on her.
I got the same results with this kit and a dip powder kit. Glue does not stay adhered to my nails. 🤷🏻♀️
@@jamesizzyj I got my dip nail kit on ebay and it work really good. And super affordable
@@Craz1eCh1ck05 I have the same experience with all glue. I don't glue tips on for this reason, they separate before I need a fill. I switched to sculpting hard gel or polygel.
@@jamesizzyj I don't use tips. Just use the dip nail on my natural nail
I love the "natural" nails from this kit. They are so quick and easy. I use them with my gel polish and UV light. I can get them to last for a week but typically just them for a quick night out.
I’ve had people tell me that they got gel and when I asked them if it was a powder they excitingly said yes :/ it’s a shame these company’s take advantage of people who don’t know better (salons in my area take advantage too and charge them for gel) it’s a shame :(
I love that Suzie just jumps right in and gets to the point 😊
I use this kit all the time, it's great when you need nails in a hurry or you're on a budget....
Did it ever damage your nails? I see people complaining in the comments how the gel is not really gel, but I already bought it and want to try it
@@NIQGIO no it didn’t , but maybe because I didn’t have them on long...
@@tmon4819 How long did you leave them on for? Because I bought it and people are in the comments making me worried, saying no its glue like it's a bad thing
@@NIQGIO I just needed something last minute for an event over the weekend, I believe I soaked them off after approx. 4 or 5 days...But I've had them on for 7 days before too. I only know my experience with them. Hope this helps!
How much is the kit for I live in Bradford and want to get one in a store I saw!!
This was very cool. I’ve had clients ask me about at-home products so it’s nice to know this is an option that can keep them occupied during our stay home order. 💕 Thank you
I was looking at this product yesterday. I’m so glad I’m waiting until this pandemic is over. I’m making my nail appointment ASAP. Lol
The adorable dog totally made me happy to see. These days it's hard to feel genuine happiness but seeing that dog looking so cute really made me happy lol.
not bad this set. the other nails are really cute and the before AND after hair is gorgeous!
Why am I watching this 2024 😂♥️
Hahaha, same here! She is just so relaxing to watch, I’ve been binging her content
Bc we can’t afford luxuries anymore.

Thanks for this wonderful tutorial!! I used to gobto my nail salon in California regularly! Since moving to Germany, I haven't been to any. They're very expensive here. They want a lot for a new set of nails. I was able to get a set of acrylics a pedicure & a neck massage. Including tip, still didn't nearly pay as much as I would pay here! So now, I'll try it myself! Certainly having plenty of time now!!😄👌💚❤
Hope you and your loved ones are staying safe & healthy. Much love from Coquitlam.
Suzie, Thank you for your time. This instruction video is a much needed distraction while being “ on restriction”! You have a pleasant voice & very cute puppy. 🍀
Awwww you have such a cute doggie!!! I wish I could pet him. That was a nice little surprise :)
OMG i literally looked at this kit yesterday at walmart and almost picked it up ! Then i came home and tried to youtube search a video of this very kit ! Then boom you uploaded this ! ❤🙌
