You're right. No gel involved here. That's nail glue resin, that's why it's so thick. And this process is what used to be called a nail wrap. It's just an acrylic alternative. They look great !

Back in the day in the 80’s or the 90’s gel was used with a gel activator not always a uv lamp so as long it has an activator its gel girl that gel activator would burn your nails i guess thats why they have the lamp now lol but its still has the heat spike it was a spray activator which made it burn so bad fiberglass was set almost the same way back then the nail game as truly changed drastically! 😘 thank you for sharing
It's not gel though, it's still resin because the accelerator just helped it dry faster. Professional nail techs know that gel has oligamers in it, and resin does not.

This design turned out so cute! I tried this kit years ago and did not have a good experience with it. I got one use out of it and it only lasted like a day before it came off. So happy I started using UV/LED gel polishes. That has definitely changed the game for me! Thanks for the reviews on affordable kits. 😊

I tried this again after having a complete fail the first time around and I will say I did a better job the second time around. I definitely would say have some extra brush on glues, I'm definitely going to try the dip kit to see if I get better results
It does. That's the method I used to use before I got my gel polish collection built up. But like she said, you have to make sure the regular polish is *completely* dry before putting the gel topcoat on. I used to wait at least a couple of hours.
this is actually really cool! you dont have to use acrylic and the cleaner helps it to smooth it better in case you dont have a nail drill. I think I will buy it so I can use it with longer tips.
only thing that scares me with the nail lamp and drill is, if one breaks how do you get it fixed without losing the whole thing? ooh where you have your acrylic powders on the wall did your husband make that or did you buy it? if you bought it where did you get it? i need to organize my stuff better :)
My first set with this crackles like broken plexiglass. I'm wearing my second set now and forgot to use the activator 🤦 So far they haven't cracked and they cured nicely!

OMG LOL! The beep for the lamp is the same sound for my cats laser toy and he woke up from a deep sleep when he heard the beep 🤣 I used to buy these kits a lot when I first got into doing my nails, now I just buy full cover nails & use gel polish over them bc I’m lazy lol!!
