Theres no recovering that if you wanted to but if you want to make sure the data is gone just scratch up the platter
The drive isnt air tight there will be a hole that says do not cover which leads to a small filter to purify the air going in
You can unscrew the platter isnt not dangerous
It wont fly around

Actually it did fly away a little but that's cause my screwdriver missed a little 🙂
before scratching the platters I'm almost sure some companies are capable to restore the data, but common who would take a random disk and "hey maybe we can take it to a company to restore for a lot of money and check if we have something nasty on that person?" lol
