@@HumanoidMachinesI have MAME on my arcade retro box emulation station and no longer have Killer instinct. Can you send me Killer instinct 1 & 2 please?? Please respond
Bro thank you so much it worked for me. I did it on a friends steam deck and dragged all my mame games on it and it worked for him. that folder I didn’t have it on mine I see now I have a whole bunch more to add thanks to you. you the man
Wherever the download is there usually will be 2 files to download, one being the chd. With Mame it’s an emulator that works for me. I really don’t have a preference
If you want to clean up some of the opening splash screens on the games, you can reduce the emulated system speed to 65-85%. Even with a decent cpu, I’ve noticed some hitched and hiccups during the opening fmv. Reducing this helps
@@NoXiousBLD in mame 2003, open the retroarch menu, go to core options, CPU click scale should be at the bottom, adjust/check/adjust until you find the sweet spot. Turn it to low and the game suffers. Have it too high and the emulator suffers
@@derekfcc Thanks! It worked, and the intro plays, but horribly slow as well as the gameplay. Not sure if it's worth it unless I'm missing something. I set the CPU core speed to 30.
@@NoXiousBLD that might be too low. At 30%, you’re not giving the game enough power to run properly. You can try to increase it a bit to get better performance. 65 to 80 was the sweet spot for me. If you’re still not getting good performance then it could be a hardware limitation.
Is there an emulation console that can run KI arcade well?? Would love to sit down on the couch and play ....as well as a bunch of other roms all in one spot
@@HumanoidMachines i have a Vewlix Arcade cabinet, if you know what those are. I Recently bought Pandora's box 10 anniversary and it has like 3 mame versions. Mame 2006 regular and the plus Mame 2010 i think. I dropped Kinst in the rom folder and a tried both methods f creating a folder with the chd file and putting it right next to it. Or dropping the chd file inside Kinst. The emulator will load upto 99% and stays there. Most games i have the percentage reach 99%, and seconds later, the game boots. But in Killer instinct just stays in 99. I since i am using a Pandora's box pcb from 2023. I just want the emulator version that will run this game with those 2 files. Rom Kinst and chd file. Please provide me with links to download the emulator you are using. To try it in my pcb.
@@lvstream720 I see what you mean. I don’t drop the zip or chd into a certain Mame folder such as the 2010. I just drop them into the main pool of games. No idea which Mame will pick it up?
Have you noticed Batocera v36 stable yabasanshiro runs slow? Also, is Atomiswave working for you? Game arent booting for me but they do for Dreamcast and Naomi which is odd as they all can use the Flycast and LR Flycast. Neither option works for me for Atomiswave. Other than these issues v36 seems fine so far.
Yes, Yabasanshiro is definately much slower. I had no issues with Atomiswave but encounted problems loading a few Jag 64 titles. The two PS3 games I tested (after ppu modules recompiled) were unplayable, slower & kept crashing. Naomi 2 a little slower. At this point I removed the drive and shelved it. Back on batocera 35 and I'll stay there until those problems are sorted. :)
@@HumanoidMachines Wonder why Atomiswave isnt working for me. On the Lenovo M73 or HP 800 G2. Thinking of going back to v35 as well. Another thing I cant figure out is Model 2 works on the Lenovo but not on the HP. Didnt work on the HP on v35 either though. I did try a few 360 games on the HP, to slow. I’ve discovered the Jaguar problem is nothing to do with Batocera 36. For some reason I cannot load World Roms. It’s ok with USA, eu and Japanese but not World???? Lol
@@HumanoidMachines I tried a few world roms, looks like they are working fine for me, But not sure why they added the option to use "BIGPEMU" to run them, most of the jag games I get sound but no picture when using it ,some work though. Unfortunately it works for me for Kinst2, but I can't make it work for Kinst. I tried with the Kinst full roms (with all needed parts inside the zip except the CHD, which is on proper folder), but it keeps getting back to menu with all cores. (Batocera V36)
I had the same problem, except for me kinst1 worked and kinst2 didn't. After checking file size in properties, i realized i did not have the correct chd. Turned out the first kinst2 chd i downloaded was only a matter of kilobytes in size Found the correct one and it worked immediately.
Some of the newer mame games require extra files that were stored on disc, thats the chd file.
