That song was Bout his moms faith.
She had a debilitating stroke when he was young but she never wavered in her faith. She suffered for over 10,000 days before she passed.

Those 2 songs were written after she had passed away, they are Maynards goodbye if you will.
They HAVE to be heard back to back in one sitting, and you need the lyrics.
If you truly want to experience Tool's mind boggling emotional roller-coaster in full effect, then you need to do these 2 videos.

Josh Freese on drums and he is a madman on drums. I love his style of drumming. Checkout "Orestes" by APC and their cover of "When the Levee Breaks" but you gotta hear the live at Red Rocks version for the best Maynard experience
I heard this song for so long on iheart radio Tool channel, and never knew the lyrics until I saw a reaction vid. Now I love it even more knowing the lyrics and story behind it.

Fantastic band plain and simple, and it's Maynard so...!! If you want an awesome experience, for us too, do their Thirteenth Step album in order as they appear on the album. It's a absolute masterpiece concept album, right up your alley!!
