Brandy Guzman go online and study, get the manual. Think safety when answering any questions. You’re not expected to know everything off the bat. You need to know the basics. The rest you will learn hands on and studying.
You are a professional John, keep up the good work. If all schools had an instructor like you, they would be less accidents on the road. Being a police officer for over 30 years i have investigated many fatal accidents, and I believe poor training played a big part. Keep up the good work.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I was clueless about air brakes but you made it easy to understand. Thanks to this video, and your test strategy (and studying 😁), I passed all three tests and got my CLP on the first try. Anyone considering private CDL schooling should definitely put your school at the top of their list. You are a gifted teacher. Thanks again. You rock!
This guy is actually a pretty good instructor, the simile he used comparing a weighted barbell in the palm of your hand was a great one. My high school chemistry instructor used the same comparison when talking about gases. I've watched a few videos of this guy and i come back to them when im unsure of somthing. I'd feel confident in taking my road test having this guy as my instructor, i plan on taking my practice test to enter a driver program in 2 weeks and im glad i stumbled upon this content. Great video, thank you very much! I'm actually really excited to step forward into the industry, i have several friend who drive for a living and actually love what they do.
Thank you thank you! You are a great teacher I am from Florida and pass air brakes test perfect score not even one incorrect answer… this video helped a lot!! I wish I lived in New Jersey to go to your school
Thank you for the breakdown! Wanted to say how much I appreciate this! It allows me the ability to study even better! You are the man! Lol have a great Sunday! 👍🧡🧚♀️
I’m studying for my permit in Las Vegas. air brakes is the most confusing part, this definitely helped me get a better understanding of the complete air brake system. Thanks , I subbed
First I'd like to take the time and thank you for the video on how air brakes work. I have been in the car business for 17 years and had no idea how air brakes work. Recently I got out of the car business and passed my CDL test yesterday Thanks to you I start my new job for the town of Blacksburg Transit in Virginia .
Awesome job explaining this my man, I’m trying to learn as much as I can before I take my tests. Thanks for the visuals, it helps a lot more than just studying a piece of paper!
I have an incredibly hard time learning by reading. I barely made it through grade school because of this fact. I have to do my air brake testing before I get into trucking school in my province and reading the air brake manual was like reading a book in a different language. I could study that book for a decade and not learn a thing. Thankfully these videos exist. I've learned more in the last 20 minutes watching this than I learned in the last week reading the book. Thank you.
First time watching I’m trying to get ready so when I go to side to take the test I can get him easier than studying You’re doing a good job I’m gonna look for more video
I really love all your videos. I definitely wish I would have attended your school. you guys definitely need to branch out and have different locations. your personality and the way you teach and your sense of humor is great and in all your videos I can tell from my experience attending Smith and Solomon‘s (regrets) your school is 1 million times better in every WAY.. even the equipment you guys have in the classrooms . You can definitely tell that the money you guys get from the students you put right back to the school to make it better ..love your videos keep them coming
I start cdl school on Monday. you are a great teacher and I just love learning about tech. As a visual learner this was masterful. I really felt like I was in the class
I'm only half way through but just realized this was made 5 years ago: major props to you guys for this, these training videos are x10 better then a lot of current stuff online atm. Thanks again. gonna go for the air brakes test this Monday :).
So, I’m super overwhelmed with that awfully long manual book. I am a visual learner and these diagrams and the way you explain it all has been an absolute godsend. I’m feeling a lot more hopeful now, THANK YOU! ❤
I'm glad the diagrams and explanations have been helpful for you! Understanding complex concepts can be overwhelming, but breaking them down visually can make a big difference. Keep up the great work!
I’m commenting from my MILs page but want to commend you for your teaching style… typically I would take an hour to learn what I did in 10m listening to you
Wonderful course (Part 1), I now understand the Air Brake Concept, because you explain it so simply. Thank You! I am planning to visit your Training Academy tomorrow.
there is so much into air brakes systems but this is the basics needed for a driver good job.. you seem to understand the brake system.. good job training these guys..
The way of your teaching is very nice, one can understand both of them i.e handling manually and the way it works or Technic behind it. Absolutely great job.
This is much better than learning through trial and error with random practice tests sites that have a bunch of typos and questions that arent even on the real test!
I just wanted to come on here and thank you guys for all of your informative videos! I passed my written today for combination vehicles and air brakes, I even went ahead and got my doubles/triples endorsement! I'm serious you guys helped me remember so many important questions that they ask on the test! I only got 4 wrong out of 100 questions! I am very grateful for your videos.
Wonderful video. As a visual learner, this should help me pass the test. And I understand how it works better now as opposed to just reading it in the book.
Yeah! I am going in for next two test but one at a time combination n than last general knowledge. I live in West like one corner to the other. thank you 😊
Absolutely love the way you teach. Your videos have helped me prepare for this new journey in my life. I've passed test recieved permit😁. Will continue to watch your videos especially on pre-inspection. Thanks again for allowing me to be in your classroom when I need it
This video would be so much better if you didn’t have your advertisement at the bottom of the screen showing a little closer to the board you’re using... With that being said I really appreciate your videos thank!!!! you you still get a thumbs up even though I really hate not being able to see the whole screen
Hi, I want to first say that your classroom information is very thorough and easily understood, at the end of this video the one student was unsure about the stopping at stops sign or light etc ... As you said in the beginning of the video, these air pods operate on a separate chamber system, and I understood what the student was saying and at that point I myself would have referred back to the beginning as the service/emergency brake system operate on two separate systems within the air pods at a stop sign or light, so maybe a student would retain that information or it would click in their mind like ok, separate chambers in the air pods as explained in the beginning it may give them a better visual in their mind and remember how the air pods are set up. My suggestion only. I drove from 1996 till 2003, no tickets or accidents. I am wanting to get my CDL-A again now, and will be calling your training school to see about what grants or financial aid i might qualify for, I'm 56, and need the refresher and updates with the trucking industry as a lot has changed since 1996..lol. I prefer spread Axle Flatbed Trucking personally. Thank you for all of your informative videos you share. P.S. Please inform the new drivers that the Commercial Company out there at the truck stops/rest areas are not Lot Lizards, they are called Sleeper Leapers as to be politically correct now. Thank you, have a nice day..!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch our videos and for your feedback! We're glad you found the information thorough and easy to understand. It's great to hear that you're considering getting your CDL-A again, and we hope our training school can provide you with the assistance you need. Best of luck with your refresher and updates in the trucking industry!
I watched a part of this video last night and I passed this morning!! I’ve studied over and over but being a visual learner this makes it much easier

Do you have a writing test? The questions aren't all branded, right? I speak Portuguese, if I have an essay I won't be able to handle it
