Hahaha, it's true. I always think: 'They have such amazing chemistry, how do they not fall in love with each other??'
I have actually wondered how some of them aren't angry at the end of a dance. Sometimes the lead is not a clear lead. And that can really mess with the follow. Sometimes the follow isn't as interesting as the lead and that's also an issue. 🤷♀️
But after watching and studying the competitions in full length for just a tiny bit, I have seen a comradery that surpasses any frustration I imagine. I have come to admire the art as a very fulfilling competitive sport.

Oh, I think the overall atmosphere is just too fun and lighthearted, for people to get easily annoyed over small mishaps.
And one always has the choice to stick to dancing with a regular partner, after all. I mean, no one is forced to enter into competitions with random pairings and if one has a hard time adapting to strangers or just doesn't enjoy the element of chance that brings with it...one would just not do it, I would imagine.

I would dance with him, because he gives clear cues, and shows concern and care for his partner. Watches every move she makes, reads her well, thinks of her not just himself.

It wouldn’t be about intimate LOVE, it’s about connection. The joy of being in sync with another human. & the end of the day that’s all anyone really needs.
Not everyone understands that. It’s actually quite awkward to dance with someone and be expressive when they are seeking romance instead of expressing themselves as “dance artists “

I used to dance country and ballroom almost every week in my twenties and then salsa in my thirties. I can't remember the last time I danced but I do miss it so much. It's so effortless when you have a really good partner!!

Actually I think, the partners shine more than he does... It is, if he some times only moves around , while the partners make the interesting moves.

Meaning, Keerigan helps make his partner the star, to be a great hero you need a great villian, to be a great dancer, you need a great dance parter, i dont think you are giving Keerigan the credit he deserves

It’s pretty crazy how amazing a good partner is when it comes to dancing. I’m not a dancer, but a friend of a friend asked me to dance with him one night in Nashville. I didn’t know he meant shag! I had never done it in my life. But he led the way and made it so easy for me to pick up on it! We even got applause at the end of the song, and he asked me if I’d done it before. Nope, just had a good partner!

Is shag also a different style of dance like West Coast swing before where I come from shag has a different meaning & often when a guy asks you to dance it does mean shag but if you haven’t done it before you probably wouldn’t be posting about it here like this!? 😮

I watch all the time but don't normally comment. I had to with this performance as it was so romantic and elegant. I find it amazing that you do so well without practice or knowing the music in advance.

I feel like when you are in sync in any kind of creative way with someone you do fall in love a little bit, for the moment you're sharing with that person. But that's also true for any vulnerable moment you share with a stranger, so it can be that you fall in love with everyone you dance with and also not so serious in the long run when you do it all the time.

It’s interesting to watch, because the follow has the more embellished & dramatic moves, but they can only do as much as the lead is able to indicate (in unchoreographed dances at least). You can’t always SEE the lead giving cues, but you really can here. I love it!

The reason why non-dancers say that is because they genuinely have no idea what it's like to have to form chemistry with someone you just met and have your hearts completely open up onto your sleeve and mesh together on the stage... They don't understand it just because it might look like you are in love, really, you're more like two souls, completely vulnerable and open and raw.. the acting isn't even acting, because it's brought out of true feeling... They don't get what an emotional, amazing, terrifying experience it is.... And the utter magic we all feel on stage... God, I'd seriously do anything to perform again... Life is so bleak without it ❤

I love watching you dance, especially getting a peek at the tattoo on your ankle. It's a fun surprise to glimpse a "secret" side to someone who seems like a very straight laced, boy nextdoor type. My little sister has a tattoo on her calf that most don't get to see and no one would suspect she was the "type" to have body art, not even me and we grew up together! I don't have any tattoos of my own, but I love to see the artwork people choose and the stories behind it. You and your partner dance so beautifully together, so sensual and heartfelt even though it's a random pairing ❤

Honestly this channel made me realise WCS was the dance style I really wanted to learn most and now I'm taking classes and. It's unbelievable how intense partnered dances with a stranger can be lol.

There is a difference between romantic chemistry and dance chemistry. These two have that dance chemistry. When you come across a great partner, dance is magical.
I have always wanted to be able to dance like that. I’m not coordinated at all. But, I’ve watched this clip multiple times and I think even I might be able to dance a little if I was paired up with him. He’s so self confident and the fluidity of his body language is addictive. I’d love to get to dance with him. ❤
