I like how the Plushie bands not only have different versions of their song depending on the time of the game world but also intentionally exclude instruments that aren't present in the band you're listening to
For real, there's also the 2 plushies who only plays guitars and the instrument of that song exclude the drums and flute which is a nice touch to the details ...
AND at least in my playing (mobile, BTW), the Cuddle Waddle's drumming movement is accurate to the music played. I've yet to check whether other instruments, such as the guitar, uses accurate keys and strumming as well.

@@Astyler The problem is that NPC in genshin was so lifeless that almost every single of them looks very jank compared to your characters making immersion completely ruined.
With most of them just being same NPC copy pasted with different skin tones/clothing after regions, it's not surprising that they just gave up entirely bringing more immersion.
in HSR at least they still have balls bringing new races although rarely but in the end they end up copy pasting same character model everywhere else even during Main quest.
meanwhile in Wuwa almost every important NPC that appears in companion quest/story is UNIQUE. Let's us not mention the NPC that deal with gameplay such as chief, store keeper, gifts, exploration and stuff because every of them are truly different.

Remember Dunyarzad? They could've given Collei the spotlight coz the Former's only reason of existence is to showcase the whatever sickness thingie and to spotlight Dehya. The only reason I remember Dunyarzad is because I hate her and her pointless inclusion in the Archon Quest.
One time when WuWa includes NPC in story like on Lingyan and Encore side story, and they get spotlight a lot but pretty balanced... they started to actually have more feeling than what Genshin did with Dunyarzad and Teppei lol

I love how npc resonators actually showcase their fortes and their designs not being held back by the devs despite being unplayable and act as background charas, it makes the world feel so immersive and alive

It's not just the visuals, but Genshin clearly lacks passion in their game. You can literally feel the love the creators of WuWa put in their game hoping their players would enjoy their world-Genshin just palette swaps or reuses stuff to save time and money.

I think Genshin dev took too much effort on Fontaine, when on Natlan they got down and lost. Even the Lantern Rite this time was really flat compare to the last year.

While Genshin is a direct competition for Wuthering Waves, Hoyoverse knows how to design compelling and attractive NPCs they just dont want to do it for Genshin. Zenless Zone Zero has some of the most creative designs and animations for an NPC in a Hoyo game. I wish more Genshin players to be critical of the game. cause its through heavy critique and divesting that companies will put more effort in improving the gaming experience, they have had 4 years and still use the same npc base model from mondstat/liyue.

I think it’s a different devs that works on Genshin, ZZZ, and HSR. That’s why both ZZZ and HSR have a much better quality and experience despite being from the same company
I mean they don't though your seeing a biased video trying to push a narrative. Another aspect is that unlike Wuwa the Genshin community is Vast with different players wanting different things Critque is abundant but there's different people wanting different things
Also the engines are different it's why at release and even now Wuwa suffer on mobile. There was a price for these designs and with Genshin it can still run on a potato
@@demonking-zm3rs I run wuwa pretty well on my phone, had difficulties at launch and didnt play till 1.2 but now idk what they did it runs exceptionally different and smoother for me. So I can;t agree on that critique, and genshin since 4.0 has been the more difficult game for me to play on mobile, but its a fun game on pc. Its very much optimized to be a console/pc game. I also disagree on the community being vast, wuwa has millions of players at launch and we dont know the numbers of reoccurring monthly players. I think wuwa has a better understanding of experience over greed, as its trying to compete through not being like genshin and unlike tof they've showcased how to do it. in about a year Wuwa will become a standalone game with no more anchoring it to genshin, just like when genshin launched and was berated as a Zelda BOTW clone.
You can really see in Zenless there is more life same for Star Rail and not to mention they also like really good for pity and banner, like legit better than genshin and even those not S rank can really bring you a long way not to mention you get free characters too which are pretty good in stats)

Yes, but admittedly this is not a very sound way for player retention in the long run especially when superior competition pops up. You need to be constantly improving or you’ll be left behind, which unfortunately what Cashcow Impact is doing.

But.. the problem is that you will and constantly stumble upon them be it in main quest, side or daily quest. Hell even character quest might asked you to meet the npc if necessary.
At least.. you make them a bit different or appealing (not to the point they looked like playable) but it's at least give you a longer impression about they're involvement with the certain that happen
ppl esp hoyo players always say that wuwa characters don’t stand out, but the only reason why they think genshin or any hoyo characters stand out is bc the devs purposefully make their npcs look like shit. they’re literally being gaslit to think their characters have good design but when u take them out of the game it looks like slop and their design doesn’t say anything about them. at least kuro puts and effort not just in their characters but the npcs as well. They actually blend in with the world they’re living on.
Am still convinced there are few that actually say a lot with their designs but cause there was a good cultural research behind them and yes i find their design stunning (I hate genshit lol) but Cyno and Candace are just amazing. Literally the only two i can think are original enough and I've never seen something similar to them

I was hoping for bloody warfare everywhere outside Natlan's capital and battle hardened and strong muscular warriors full of scratches and bruises before leaving Fontaine.Oh boi,I was greeted with colourful mountains,various cute saurians and non muscular playable characters beside couple NPCs.The story is great but the way they constantly using the same assets,same emotes and changing outfits for the same NPC making the storytelling is worse than I thought.

New Federation in Wuwat seems to be what people wanted Natlan to be. New Fed is a very military and technological based nation. They are super strict, and they don't like Resonators or Exiles. They remind me of the Mechanicus from Warhammer. You can see one of their ships near the Tower of Adversity.

However I'd assume they won't really do much with the Npcs and would just keep them around and not have gameplay with them, some of them wouldn't make sense in battle as they aren't good at it

Nah bruh. Even if WuWa had less textures, it all boils down to how much effort each respective game puts in. Genshin simply puts significantly less effort into their npcs. One of the major reasons WuWa npc look this good is because the dev team actually listens to feedback. Former Genshin players begged and pleaded for this level of quality and Kuro delivered. I guess you could say that Genshin treats it's NPCs as what they are, Non-Playable Characters, meanwhile WuWa wants to care about them as part of the world they live in.
Maybe from a bussiness perspective, since they are characters that will not leave profits, it's not an option to put extra effort in them, I personally like when devs make memorable NPCs, because they can at any time make them playable with a call back event in previous regions, that way people might be more interested in the character they always wanted to be playable being finally released and all, IMO definitely better than just making a complete new character and saying they were always there in previous regions, with barely any mention.

GLF2 is also in Unity, and that is a turn base game that is leagues better in model quality than this game.
Well it's fairly obvious Kuro is staffed by a bunch of very well enabled nerds. For fuck sake, they called an achievement Zoltraak and one of the new areas in Renicita is straight up Elden Ring inspired. Not that I'm even remotely complaining. Frieren is a modern classic and Elden Ring has some of the best art direction in modern gaming.

You know for a billion dollar gatcha game. You think they would have reinvested some of that money into the game itself Instead of having most of it go to to their other projects. Most of the NPC's have had that same deadpan expression for ages now.

I think we can now say that WuWa has no competition in open world gachas. Genshin is not even close to it in any aspect.
I can now confidently change my comparison when a new open world gacha game comes out with: "Wuthering Waves looks/plays better than this"

What I love about Wuwa is even the Generic NPCs (aka the non-unique ones) also have personality. Like the soldiers in Jinzhou salute you as well as the Guardia Echos of Rinascita just by walking by. Meanwhile, I haven't seen this kind of respect from the Knights of Fav, the Millileth,or most of the soldier type NPCs from Genshin unless you talk to them. I was gonna ask if it's because of different engines but we know Genshin can do it, just don't want to. I mean if they can't, then that lively dance party from the Tribe of Children of Echoes shouldn't be there.

It's not a bad idea to design cool playable character, and use it as an actual npc, merging it into the lore. It makes game more immersive and you care for character more

@@Zero_Li24TBH the arknights:endfield demo, the characters are the only thing better/competing with wuwa. The environment doesn't match the art style of the characters and is too realistic. Combat seems too simple, but the on field switching is nice though.
Plaese don't 😅, i love both arknights and wuwa. If anything i want them to have a collab, specially when both doctor and rover have amnesia
