Very happy that you are doing the single din reviews now!! I want to upgrade my stereo without molesting the centre console and this unit looks to be a front runner! I just need the check the dimensions of the screen to ensure it does not cut off any of the buttons or slide out cup holder ***Update*** I have purchased this and can say it works just as shown in the video. I bought a universal iso adapter and FM connection adapter from Halfords to fit the stereo and removed the illumination (orange) wire from the iso harness.... Works perfect!!! Very happy
A device like this, but with wireless/detachable screen would be awesome. Or at least a nice cable instead of the ribbon one, so the processing unit could be installed anywhere hidden in the car
You are referring to a 0 din install. You can get an extended ribbon to locate this unit elsewhere, away from the screen. Joying sell 1m cables. Idoing also sell 0 din headunits
Thanks for briefly addressing the aftermarket amplifier connections. I still think Joying and other brands should invest more into the Preamp RCAs. The SPDIF and Optical connections are nice but there aren't many aftermarket amplifiers that support those connections. I would've paid $100 more for decent 4V RCAs.
I have it all fitted and wired up but for the life of me I can’t get Apple car play. Do I need to download another app or anything? Any help would be much appreciated
Very helpful thank you. Looks like a perfect size for my old LandRover Discovery 2. Any more info on good compatible dash cameras, reversing cameras, adding DAB and anything additional needed to intergrate steering controls? 😊
Thank you very much for all your excellent videos. I’ve just installed an Xtron head in my car, and wasted a weeks evenings trying to get the dab working. Tried everything suggested on all the tech sites, including screening the dab usb stick. All to no avail. Head came with Dab+ installed, found 60 or so station, and was showing a full signal, but no music playing, just an occasional garbled screech. This evening decided to try different apps, and on trying DabZ success. Why does Xtrons ship with an app that plainly doesn’t work with it’s system.

Hello. Thanks for your very thorough review. Excellent evaluation. I have had this unit in my '89 BMW e30 now for over a year and while very pleased with it, my only complaint is the sound quality of phone calls. It is especially poor for the person receiving calls from my end. I have tried several mics and there doesn't seem to be a fix. Have you experienced the same issue? Can you recommend a good mic that will improve the phone call quality? Thank you.
Hi - sorry not directly related to this post but hoping you might be able to help with a minor inconvenience- Atoto S8 Premium and Saab 2010 93 - all works great but doesn’t automatically tether when I get in the car - I have to press the red link button on the screen - I’m sure it should just a bit confused about what my phone should be paired to lol - there is Bluetooth 1 Bluetooth 2 and Atoto - first world problem but it would be great if it just connected automatically lol thanks in advance - keep up the great content 👌

You have me convinced on your top 3-5 Android floating head units. Great to know we can get awesome stereos for a fraction of the price than the big names. I'm thinking 10-13" for my 2008 Tundra. Given this feature that I think is important to my CURRENT thought process, What is your recommendation? Thank you!
Lovely device, but expensive and for the UK market, having the volume controller and microphones pointing on the wrong side of the front screen is a swing and a miss.
That's every unit I'm afraid. I have never seen one designed for a right hand drive car. But in the case of such a small screen, it doesn't really matter. This comes with an external Mic anyway

Hi, the ribbon cable between screen and the main part. Is the cable able to be unplugged from the body? Wondering if the cable is replaceable, then I could remote mount the base and just attach the screen to the dash as I don’t have a single din spot.. cheers
Yes it can be removed from the main body. You can actually order a longer cable. The type of installation that you are refering to is called "Zero din" (as opposed to single and double din) which represents the main unit being hidden away from the actual usable touch screen. This type of installation can be done with Joying or Idoing head units

From what I understand you are whittlesey based, iam in turves. Any chance you can fit a teyes in my Hilux for a fee. Watched your videos and just went for it.
@strawsy69 Yeah I agree. Oddly enough the connection is more stable wirelessly. Also I noticed the sound quality is better wirelessly when streaming Spotify or Apple Music.... I think it's because most newer phones have a better DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) than the radio has when streaming through a USB cable

@@SaabUnleashed I shared a link for the same unit but from the joying website and told about my expierence with Joying. I bought this exact unit from them a couple of months ago and it had been working perfectly. Then recently the touch functionality on the screen stopped working. Their customer support offered a new touch panel which I would then need to replace by myself but they couldn't offer any instructions on how to do so. I rejected this offer and we then agreed on them sending an entirely new screen, but I would have to pay 100€ first. Once received, I would have to return the defect screen and then get 70€ paid back. I am currently waiting for the new screen. Up until this point, I don't think that their customer support has been all that great, but hopefully it will turn out okay. I just think people should be aware of this before buying.
There are two main sizes of radio. Single din, and double din, which is twice the physical size. As this unit is a single din, and my car requires a double din, it would left a big hole on my dashboard, hence why I showed it in the Jukebox. I hope that helps you understand what I meant.
6:12 “it’s going to look stupid if I install it in a car” Sir, that’s the whole point of the unit. It’s a single din receiver. You’re not reviewing a gold plated radio for a McLaren F1, you’re reviewing cheap Chinese tech from Amazon. Talk about not knowing your audience.

Can someone tell me how screens are measured. Is it the same as television screens where the diagonal measure from top corners to opposite lower corners is the actual size?
Yes correct
From what I understand you are whittlesey based, iam in turves. Any chance you can fit a teyes in my Hilux for a fee. Watched your videos and just went for it.
I actually did a Hilux not long ago. Sure. You'd need to leave the truck with me for a weekend
@@SaabUnleashed thank you very much. When it arrives will be in touch.

I got the joying 11.6 snap dragon and im having endless of issues with it and the customer service is pretty average aswell
I have the joying snapdragon unit as well. If you use android auto from your phone it works much better.
My atoto s8 died after 2 months but after replacement it's working perfectly fine for almost 5th month hh
I got the snap Dragon 11.6... I should have got the one with the other cpu in it I heard those are better.. I'm really not a fan of this snapdragon 625.. I only really got it because of the launcher.. which was a mistake 🙄
@Ryan Earl yeh i use the vivid launcher tbh which is great but i cant get the sim card to work so i have to constantly hot spot it
Why is it also branded as Joyforwa?
I have no idea, but it is sold by Joyings official shop
Can I ask does anyone know what uk SIM card works with the android head units. Thanks
All of the ones I have tried work. Three, EE, o2
Cool😎
I bought a Joying on your recommendation and it keeps overheating, and they obviously won't refund me 🤬
I've found their customer service decent when I've needed it for a dodgy screen, they sent a replacement, and this was before RUclips
Do you know if anyone makes a unit that supports XM
did you delete my comment?
I don't delete comments ever. What was it?
6:10 what? Is it not made to go in a car? Why even review this if it "looks stupid"
There are two main sizes of radio. Single din, and double din, which is twice the physical size. As this unit is a single din, and my car requires a double din, it would left a big hole on my dashboard, hence why I showed it in the Jukebox. I hope that helps you understand what I meant.
6:12 “it’s going to look stupid if I install it in a car”
Sir, that’s the whole point of the unit. It’s a single din receiver. You’re not reviewing a gold plated radio for a McLaren F1, you’re reviewing cheap Chinese tech from Amazon. Talk about not knowing your audience.
How does the car's settings work when we replace the head unit?
