Ive had my Joying 10.1 screen (with a volume knob) in my Sequioa for a week. It works well and looks great. I have not connected it to the cellular with a SIM card yet. It is mainly my wife's car. She uses CarPlay, wireless and wired. While listening to Spotify with CarPlay the unit will switch to the radio on its own. Seems to happen every 10 minutes or so. If I can not figure this out I may have to return it.
Does it do it both connected and wireless through Bluetooth? Email Joying directly about it, they take a long time to reply and there is a small language barrier, but get the ball rolling by asking them if it's a software issue and how it can be fixed. Then if sending it back, you have already developed a relationship with the person, and they can help you quicker. Their customer service is slow, but good. Please let me know what you come up with!
On the newer units… does the plug for the reverse camera come with the unit when you purchase it? Or do you purchase it separately? If separate… care to share a link?
Hey man, thanks for the videos! Convinced me to buy one. Hows the factory backup working still? Also did you hardwire the mic in? I think I'll need to do that
Back up camera is still working perfectly. I used their mic the provided. Thanks for watching and getting involved, and I hope you are loving the unit!
Hello. Excellent review. Was wondering if you had experience with poor mic volume while taking a call. This seems to be a common problem that has yet to be solved. I take a call in Carplay or Android mode and while I hear the call very clearly, the person on the other end can barely hear me.
I havent had any issues that I can recall. My mic is pretty far away from me too. I'll pay more attention and see if it is an issue. Thank you for the kind words!!
99.9% perfect! The only issue I am still having is the connection issue when I start my truck. It only does it every so often, and I have found that if I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone and then turn it back on, it connects. It's kind of annoying, but worth not spending $900 or ever on the top of the line brand.
I’m considering getting one. Now that you’ve had it for about a year, do you have any more thoughts on the performance of it? Mainly, does it glitch out a lot, or have issues connecting your phone? Would you still recommend it or is there another one you would consider looking at?
I love it. I just did the software update today so hopefully that will fix the connecting issue I was sometimes having. As far as glitches go, I haven't had anything happen. The connection issue only happens sometimes and when it does I just open my phones Bluetooth disconnect from the joying unit then reconnect it. Not to big of a deal for me. I 100% would recomend this. Check out the video we posted last week about the newset unit Joying has out. Its their Qualcom Snapdragon Software.
I know this is a late comment, but just ordered mine after watching all the videos on yours, how long did it take to ship to you so I have a general idea of when it will be here? Thanks!
I think mine took like 2.5 weeks. it definitely wasn't a quick amazon prime shipping situation! I hope you like it as much as I like mine!!! it's been a year and a half, and I love it still.
@@theduvaldummies Got it after only a week! And so far I’m loving it, got 2 10” subs aswell and the joying head unit sends plenty of power to it, plus I love RUclips on it as I eat in my truck before work. Thanks for all the videos on it as I had been indecisive on what head unit to get. Thanks!
They just released a new universal single den 10 inch screen with new software. They just sent it to me to make some videos on. As soon as it cools down here in NE Florida I'm gonna install it in my buddys Tacoma and make the install and setting videos. So be looking for that! Thanks for watching and getting involved!
@@theduvaldummies ok I sure will I have a 2014 Ford F150 that I am trying to get one for, I have syn1 the little 4” screen I want a bigger one with wireless CarPlay and navigation on it! But yes I will watch 🏡🙏🦌💒✝️✅🤠
check out their website and you should be able to find a compatible unit. their customer service is decent through email. they take a few days to get back to you but they usually help out pretty good. thanks!
I have sent an email to joying about the plug, when I hear back I will update. I couldn't find anything on their website, so I may be a thing where you have to specifically ask for it when you buy the unit. But I will up date when I hear from them. Thanks!!

the only issue I had was corrected by changing the CANBUS settings 😃
Cable issue sounds like.
Nice job with the videos man! Sraight talking, honest opinions are hard to find. I greatly appreciate your hard work with this installation.
Thank you for the kind words! I too hate watching 25 mins if fluff for the 3 mins of what I need! Thanks again!
if your having android auto connection issues, restart the head unit with the power button that usually helps.
I feel dumb for not having thought of that....... lol thanks Mike!
where is the power button?

Where in Duval? I'm Monument Mccormick area and just ordered this radio. So might need help. Thanks Jeff
hey Jeff, sorry for the delay, I am also in that same area, look us up on instagram, and send a private message, we can make something happen!
@theduvaldummies will do thanks, I've gotten 90 percent figured out just few things thanks.

Does RUclips work while driving?
I want one for my ford f150 2014 model

Does it play RUclips while driving?
Yes. It's just like a tablet, no "parking brake" wire connection like normal headunits (which lock out video/settings/ if the parking brake isn't on).
Thanks for the upload!!! Does this work with Apple car play?! I have an IPhone
Yes, it 100% works with apple car play.
i have a 2019 gmc sierra will the joying work with my truck? i have the jvc in my yukon but dont wanna spend another 1k for that unit

Was T-Mobile able to give you a SIM card?
I havent had a chance to talk to them yet. I'll see if I can swing by a store this weekend.
@@theduvaldummies on my T-Mobile plan a data sim car is $25 a month. Too much for me.
Can provide the camera plug model mentioned

Bump. Looking for the same thing. Appreciate the video! Hoping to get this for my ‘14 asap
The intro 😂
Thank you brother! I had a blast making this one!
Blasphemer!!
Which point lol
