I have had the pleasure of speaking with many of Dr. Boster’s patients over the last 6 months. I was privileged to be a small part of setting up the Boster Center for MS. I am an avid follower of his RUclips channel and have observed a common pattern. Aaron is asked quite a few specific medical questions and medical ethics prohibits him from answering them on a RUclips platform. Many
followers indicate they wish he was their doctor even though he cannot say this I can. With the onset of telemedicine it is quite easy to get a second opinion or become a patient of Aaron’s. He has always had patients from across the country and even from other countries. But now, it is easy to do and does not require the extra cost of travel and hotels. He has always worked with other doctors to help supplement the care one receives. I am sure he would be happy to offer his expertise and help to anyone who needs it. For your convenience, his web site is Bosterms.com and his clinic phone number is 614-304-3444. (Do you notice his phone number is 4 for 4?). I hope this may help.
    Aaron’s proud father,
    Charles Boster

The struggle is so real and life controlling. I left out above on my comment that it’s no coincidence that my constipation started to improve 4 1/2 years ago when I started going 5 hours away to see Dr Aaron Boster. Best decision ever. But you can win this battle. Be patient with yourself and add fiber, fiber fiber, water water water, exercise exercise exercise. If I miss any of these, I don’t use the bathroom the next. Have a great day!

Last year I discovered that I have a retroverted uterus. Nobody had told me in my previous exams. But it really explains the extra effort I have to do and the sensation that there's something there "blocking" and once I pass that point everything goes much easier. Aparently between 20-30 % of women has this condition so maybe it's a possibility to look for.

MS and IBS-C sux! Colonoscopy every 3 years. Learning how to feel/recognize your gastric colic reflex is difficult with MS. *not all fiber and probiotics are created equal and can cause more bloat. Add an orange if fiber doesn't work. Pain & vomiting is also an issue when depleting your bowels. Thanks from the MS OG! Get a Colonoscopy!

My favorite food-trick are tomatoes, homegrown or from the farmer. Even the ones from a store help keeping my bowels moving, and the stool soft. I have bowel movements 3-5 times each day (despite taking at least two of the mentioned constipating medications), took some time getting used to, but it has been my regular daily routine since 7 years already.
Another stimulant+softener is magnesium, or a more intense option: magnesium citrate.

Great morning my friend. CONSTIPATION!!! I hate to brag, but that’s also a battle I have won. I used to go a week without going. And now I don’t miss a day. I credit it to oatmeal(amazing work) in morning and little veggies through the day. Especially green veggies. Drinking water equal to half my body weight. And more to anything, I believe my exercising 7 days a week is just as important. Not only do I go, I have an accident just every few months. When I used to have accidents bi-daily. Point is, it takes a ton of work to fix this problem, but I know we can do it. We got this guys. I can’t help but will always try to get everyone to join the MS Gym at least on FB but expecially joining into the membership at exercisewithns.com. It is world changing. Have a great day my family! ❤️

Thanks for another great video!! In the days before the Yom Kippur fast, I implemented a recommendation to drink a cup of water every hour. Did wonders for my bowles, besides hydrating me before the fast: Even achieved 2 movements a day!! And as for the concern that drinking after 6 will have me peeing all night, I'm up with the urge every 2-3 hours in ANY case, and this way at least there's something to pee!
I find that a good morning routine involves 2 cups of water, 2 cups of coffee (works like Draino! 🤭), probiotic (an hour apart from the coffee), and a fruit. Nothing like water, though, and it's plentiful, harmless and FREE!! Happy Succot from Jerusalem!! 🍋🌿🌴🌾🕋

As a sufferer of both IBS and MS, I have a lot of experience with constipation. I find that using a travel bidet with body temp water (always check it's not too hot on your skin) works in a similar way to "digital rectal stimulation" if you are able to get in a good position on the toilet. Obviously requires easy access to running water. A real bidet with warm water option would probably also suffice.

I was like this, too. I literally ate 3 salads a day with various raw fruits and veggies, hydrated constantly both day & night and was walking 2 to 3 hours a day. Nothing helped. I was constipated and in pain all the time. Then I went to pelvic floor physical therapy. Through stretching/exercise and biofeedback they helped me relax my pelvic floor and engage muscles I could no longer feel. I highly recommend trying pelvic floor physical therapy if your insurance will cover it. Was a game changer for me. Best of luck to you!

Ugh. Always. I've tried it all. I'm currently having a bit of luck with something I randomly grabbed on Amazon called PruneLax Max. It brings the water in overnight. Also, suppositories. Couldn't live without them.
Topic Idea. I drink coffee/tea in the AM because I NEED it to wake up. But they aren't helpful to my bladder. The urgency they cause is a hindrance if I ever have to leave the house before lunch. Is there a med to "wake" me that won't cause this? Maybe something I can use as needed? Thanks Doc.
