1. Processed foods don’t digest the same as whole food even if they are the same number of calories so do the 20:80 rule 2. Do little things to burn calories like parking at the back of the grocery store or go window shopping, sometimes I just swing my hips around or lift myself by standing on my tippy toes and let myself down and repeat just to burn a few calories while standing in line. 3. Not only does exercise burn calories but it gets things moving down there so take a 10 minute walk after eating at least 4. Sleep impacts your decisions and cravings so 7 hours minimum 5. Eat more fiber rich foods and protein before carbs (like eat your eggs or avocado before the fruit or bread in the morning) 6. This is from my own experience but dressing up makes me stress or bored eat less 7. Meal prep 3 times out the week or make multiple meals (don’t make too much of the same food bc we both know you’ll get bored of that food) 8. Recognize if you’re just bored or hungry 9. Listen to a shit ton of motivational speakers (✅one task down, you got this) I’m down 12 lbs 🫰🫰 and it’s refreshing knowing I’m getting better
Love your videos. I'm so glad you broke down fat loss vs weight loss. I've had to go super deep into explaining this to friends when they ask about weight loss after I lost 60lbs. It's not just about losing weight, it's about reducing body fat percentage and improving your body composition.
I went from 250 to 140 but recently have weighed in at 172 after letting my enviornment control my emotions and behaviors. However, since the beginning of this month I have been training hard and lifting heavy while working on my relationship with food and have weighed in at 167. I am back on track to healing my body and your videos have helped me snap back into my grind mindset 💪🏾 I am focusing on body recomp versus weight loss this time around
thank you for this reminder! i actually plateau'd for the last couple of weeks but Imma keep going anyway 💪💪 also whoever reads this I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!
you are a goddess sent! when i first found your channel i was a little bit on the fence about whether or not i wanted to subscribe, since you came off pretty bluntly in some of your earlier videos. then i watched your video on speaking articulately and saw that you mentioned your desire to practice conveying ideas more softly and over the course of your channel i've absolutely seen a shift! we are _all_ definitely growing together on this channel and it's thanks to your help.
❤ I recently gained 10lbs since my wedding day earlier this year just from life style changes and an injury from a car accident! This was the sign I needed to start improving my health again and get back to the active lifestyle I was before I got married
I have hashimotos thyroiditis and currently hypothyroidism. I actually feel a bit enraged to see so many people claim a slow metabolism while I'm the one with an actually slow one. I know most come from a place of insecurity and difficulty on losing weight so ofc I don't take it to heart! Thank you for focusing that it is indeed uncommon but it is something real. For everyone facing autoimmune disorders my heart goes to you, such something like losing weight can be such a battle.
Same here. It is so hard for me to lose weight, but I can gain a few pounds within days. I know that I have to shift my way of thinking, but somewhere deep down there is always the thought that for me it is really tough to even lose one kilo. Also, I love to eat, I am a real foodie.... But I am trying to change my patterns at the moment. I hope I can maintain that attitude.
I’ve always had trouble losing weight, finally *finally* I was properly diagnosed with having primary (meaning I was born that way) lymphedema which just makes my body much heavier due the amount of lymph trapped in my body. It’s treatable but not curable. If you have problems losing weight and especially if you have extra large legs for your size look into if you have lymphedema or even lipodema which is more common. Neither are rare but both are rarely diagnosed due to under education of the medical community. Thank you for the great tips in this video!
Yo i dont know if anyone ever mentioned or told you this, but i highly appreciate the topic on the top left corner of your videos!! sometimes I randomly drift off lmao
Dearest Mae. I so enjoy each of your videos. You always inspire me. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy additional savings on the scale. I did purchase one, thanks to you. Keep shiining your beautiful light in the world. I appreciate your and your upbuilding content so much. 💛
Except Mae,I’ve noticed, attracts very sweet kind people who truly are working on self improvement regularly. Liz’s audience is super toxic with comment galleries of fighting and extremely mean comments from many people who are just there to argue or bully. I think there’s something to be said for how someone conducts themselves in this space where positivity is exuded. Mae nails it! Plus she’s actually practicing what she preaches and you can feel and see that. 🥰
@@AprilInSpringChannelHARD AGREE!!!! i love her vibe more tired of the drama 🧿💙 self improvement community should be positive and not toxic
@@AprilInSpringChannel Liz just blew up so fast it was crazy. Liz is no nonsesne and motivating so all the sudden you have bullies trying to the most in the comments
@@Sarah-kv3qs oh yes I do believe that is true. Lots and lots of trolls attacking her supporters. It was/ is insanity. But yeah she blew up faster than most by a landslide. Still, however, there’s an energy thing about who we attract and how some conduct themselves around us. But you’re probably right in that it had to do with a lot of jealous hateful people wanting to take her down as fast as she grew.
I have had arguments about the muscle/fat weight thing before. The statement “muscle weighs more than fat” is accurate. Muscle weighs more than fat in the sense that the same physical size of muscle will weigh more. Like a cup of cotton vs a cup of stones. No one is out here claiming that 1kg of muscle weighs more than 1kg of fat, obviously bc 1kg is 1kg regardless. It’s talking about density. Like saying this 1 house brick weighs more than this 1 brick of marshmallow that is the same physical size. No one would say “no, brick is not heavier than marshmallow” in that context, so I don’t get why people can’t understand how density works for fat and muscle.
Because you imply it weighs more but then say it's more dense. So it is not accurate , you literally contradict yourself. This confusion makes fat people think they build muscle because they didn't lose weight.
I was stuck at a plateau at 140lbs (SW: 180lbs) and I noticed everytime I had big changes in perspective that led to emotional releases, it’s like healing literally melted away the weight as if the emotions were the weight. Really wild. I’m 10lbs away from goal weight now!!
the lower body fat percentage you have the faster your resting metabolic rate becomes so strength training (weights) then cardio after is good if you are trying to get lean, thats why skinny people usually eat alot and stay skinny while more obese people have a harder time losing the weight at the start, it only gets easier as you progress so if u dont see results right away just keep going
I have doubts I've been working out 4 a month for an 43mins- hour seven days a week and I don't see any changes, my family says I look different but I haven't dropped any numbers on the scale 😭 ik this sounds delulu and untrue but I swear on my life I've been staying consistent but..
idk tbh I don't eat but not bc I'm having an ed I genuinely don't get hungry , back when I was six I had to take vitamin b 12 cus I was "malnourished" , I hate food and I especially hate being forced to eat it
even if youre in a calorie deficit, its still important to think about what youre eating. if you eat x amount of calories of carbs and sugar for a meal, youll feel different and possibly have different results than if you ate x amount of calories of protein and veggies. eating better = more energy + feeling "cleaner" (not as bloated, not feeling like you have to throw up after eating/working out). also make sure youre doing your workouts correctly! your form is so important, its basically the main contributor to progress. dont give up, once you figure everything out youll hopefully start seeing results (:

I've been at a 100kg plateau for months, but guesss what, the pants that haven't fit me in years finally fit me again 😎

Can you explain how did you break the plateau
Stress impacts your cortisol release so there is psychological science behind it. Definitely something worth reading into.
Ahhh I feel you!!!
You really help me a lot. I mean it. Love yaa❤
Thanks for your tips and Kindness 💕

I have lost 22 pounds which I’m really proud of but I feel like there is no difference visually
I feel you!! Dropped 21 lbs, and my thigh measurements -10 cm, but I don't see changes even tho my family and friends say they do 😂
Do you feel dizzy and lightheaded on calorie deficit? And if yes how do you deal with it?
Maybe that’s your blood sugar being low, and hydration. Try more carbs but still keeping the deficit.
the lower body fat percentage you have the faster your resting metabolic rate becomes so strength training (weights) then cardio after is good if you are trying to get lean, thats why skinny people usually eat alot and stay skinny while more obese people have a harder time losing the weight at the start, it only gets easier as you progress so if u dont see results right away just keep going

Maybe it’s your diet
diet has a bigger impact than excercie. whats ur diet like? are u under a deficit?
idk tbh I don't eat but not bc I'm having an ed I genuinely don't get hungry , back when I was six I had to take vitamin b 12 cus I was "malnourished" , I hate food and I especially hate being forced to eat it
