I respect the way Germans go about their football. Low ticket prices and all that. The reason it doesn't work in England anymore is because of the hooligan outrage in the 60s/70s and 80s. The government worked to make football more commercial, especially in the premier league. But what I can't stand is how most people from other countries only see the premier league clubs- many have lost their atmosphere as they've become commercialized. Most English football clubs have great atmosphere, foreign football fans need to realise that they will find the best atmosphere in lower tier football. Most matches at Millwall the crowd are really hyped and the atmosphere is buzzing and intimidating in some parts

As an American I can say to both clubs if the supporters here have half of the passion both clubs show for something like this than there would be no contest. Amazing!
I follow my local club here in England (Watford FC) and been to many PL / Championship games over the years as well as the lower leagues. A few years ago I spent six months working in Berlin and was fortunate enough to go watch both Hertha and Union Berlin. The difference in atmosphere, involvement, cost and overall enjoyment is like chalk and cheese. Wish it were much more like the German model here.
EPL is the face of modern football: sterile, boring, plastic and soulless. I just hope arab/russian/etc never ever enters into the Bundesliga. That would kill their amazing football culture.
TheMongooseIncident ohhhhhh ok bananaempijama i would be more cautious of companies taking over a club....like how red bull likes to jizz their name on every team it comes in contact with
Hey Eli! I'm a big fan of this series and I think it would be really beneficial if you covered, not only the more 'high profile' derbies but also derbies like Nottingham Forest vs Derby or Leicester and Blackpool vs Preston (these are the best I could think of in the same leagues at the moment but next season you could potentially cover derbies like Swindon vs Oxford or Steel City Derby, what I'm suggesting is basically, some lower profile, lower league derbies!
Signal Iduna Park is a brutal looking place. Most stadiums of that size are bowls: one integrated, curved, flowing space. Iduna is these 4 huge, flat fronted uncompromising stands (OK, filled at the corners) looming over the pitch.
i would love to see you guys do the Porto and Benfica rivalry, actually, its more of a classico than a derby, but still, its the best experience i have ever had, being at a porto - benfica game
Eng,ish football fans could be the most passionate in the World, the problem is we can't show our passion when we're told to sit down and basically shut up throughout the game
i remember secretely watching this show called "laola" as a boy on sunday nights, which would always show many game highlights of the major, but also minor leagues in Europe. The atmosphere in english stadiums stunned me back then, especially the way the camera would always shake after home goals. I miss it badly and always hope the Bundesliga sees it as an example. It seems like they do care about fans after all
Canadyn Hmmm Mate fener are cheaters thats why Aziz went prison again lol Gala will do a come back when I grow up I will show that gala is the best but admitt that Gala is the best in turk ligue
atakan bozdag Yes, on paper, but at the moment according to the league Fener are better, and usually the league isn't wrong. So, that derby will be very interesting to watch with the insanely passionate fans from both sides as well.
Fenerbahçe köpeğine! Fenerbahçe köpeğine! Fenerbahçe köpeğine! Şampiyon Cimbom yazdıracağız! Your match-fixing team shouldn't even be in the Süper Lig. You're lucky the TFF are all Fenev fans. Enjoy UCL next season.... Oh wait.
Anyone else prefer it when on videos like these where they go to watch matches, they took the cameras in and did like a vlog? Rather than just pictures and audio?
German fans are passionate and loyal like hell and probably the best in the world along with latin fans. They create an amazing and intense atmosphere. English “fans” - mainly the Premier League fans are turists. No atmosphere from the stands and what’s even worse about english fans..... they only support their club when they’re winning. When trailing, the stands are completely silent or... they leave early. That never happens in The Bundesliga.
Coming back to watching these derby days, I miss them lately. Shame the Manchester Derby Day never got a video esspecially in the FA Cup final. Being a United fan myself it was painful to watch and we get slapped by City alot lately.
I think a Roses derby day would be better to show with Leeds and Man United. The Mancs Derby is littered with plastics on both sides, but with the Whites and Reds, only the true ones from Leeds and true ones from Manchester are involved. We may be in the championship but there will still be extra police in London because Leeds and Man U are playing in the same city 1 day apart, that’s how much it the rivalry still exists.
The supporters refusing to say the name of the other city reminds me of Ohio State fans who refer to Michigan as "the team up north". All rivalries are the same.
When Schalke Supporters refer to Dortmund, they "Lüdenscheid North", and the Dortmund Supporters refer to Schalke as "Herne West". You can better Look those Up in google Maps :)
These are two entirely different things ^^ you simply can not compare german, or even european football in generell, to american "football", that's played with the hands btw 🤣 But that is an entirely other topic
@@philippgross4939 He talks about the rivalry itself, the sport doesnt matter then. And what he says sounds like the rivalry the supporters in this video describe
In Chile, we can apply this to Colo-Colo fans referring to their rivals Universidad de Chile (or "The U") as "the last vowel". Or in Argentina when Boca refers to River as "Gallinas" (even though River adopted that nickname as theirs)

I disagree. Germans sound fine when they speak english. Ive reassured many Germans of this personally. Its only in your head man.
Wish it were much more like the German model here.
the Great 'BVB' legendary club.
+Dash_Handtuch Echte Liebe!💛❤💛❤
both (Schalke and Dortmund) are one the biggest clubs in the world. Cheers!
deutschland bundesliga beste fans beste clubs und beste atmosphären und beste geschichten jedes teams
Love this series. Copa90 and Eli, keep up the great work! :D
EPL is the face of modern football: sterile, boring, plastic and soulless.
I just hope arab/russian/etc never ever enters into the Bundesliga. That would kill their amazing football culture.
Like teams or people from those countries?.......getting a racist vibe here.
NegaRen GenX i think he means clubs being bought out by people from those places
TheMongooseIncident yup :)
TheMongooseIncident ohhhhhh ok
bananaempijama i would be more cautious of companies taking over a club....like how red bull likes to jizz their name on every team it comes in contact with
***** its true,51% own club members,49% sponsors, its nice solution, they are the only one in europe that have so called "healthy league"
I think i am in love with dortmund , the ULTRAS and the players chemistry between each other specially in DORTMUND is unbelievable
Who’s here now that Schalke are about to be relegated
such a tragedy for a big club in germany hope they bounce back asap
Great that they put Lars Ricken in the video. (scored in the '96-'97 CL final against Juventus, match ended 3-1.)
02:02 what Frank ribery, Is that you ?
Gala vs ferner is unreal!! Cant wait
i would love to see you guys do the Porto and Benfica rivalry, actually, its more of a classico than a derby, but still, its the best experience i have ever had, being at a porto - benfica game
Concordo
These videos are high class!
Schalke ein Leben lang🔵⚪⚒
Thank you for these videos, I really appreciate it. I hope to see y'all in Mexico some day.
Eng,ish football fans could be the most passionate in the World, the problem is we can't show our passion when we're told to sit down and basically shut up throughout the game
you are not told to
*****
you are wrong, they are.
who ?
he didn't say he sat down did they. but he's right they're told to sit. they don't want them banned or clubs like celtic fined
i remember secretely watching this show called "laola" as a boy on sunday nights, which would always show many game highlights of the major, but also minor leagues in Europe. The atmosphere in english stadiums stunned me back then, especially the way the camera would always shake after home goals. I miss it badly and always hope the Bundesliga sees it as an example. It seems like they do care about fans after all
ONLY S04!!!!Greetz from Gelsenkirchen!
No atmosphere at Emirates 😂😂😂
there is no atmosphere ^^
Plastic stadium .
Dortmund's support is what every team should be striving for. The best supporters in the world
Gala vs Fener will be a treat!
Fener is shit mate
atakan bozdag They are on top of the Turkish league, ahead of Gala.
Thats really not true England has the highest attended second, third, fourth and fifth divisions in the world
Excellent documentary!!
Please, derby days of Celta Vigo-Deportivo A Coruña (Galician derby)
I generally didn't realise that this match had such a massive rivalry! Thought it was just another match
Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce is a must. Cant wait. I told everyone that the atmosphere at Gala is the best in europe, time to prove it!
you are way too aggressive. what you are doing, is no more football.
says the fucking pom
GLO BOY bro the derby between fenerbahce and galatasaray have the best atmosphere in europe. Its unbelievable
GLO BOY geographical not but political its in europe
GLO BOY Turkey plays in the Europe Quali...
The German fans are unrivalled in central Europe. The atmosphere is unique
I wish they could have done the Old Firm.
Yeah !!!!
I hope we get you in one of the cups next season just for all the publicity it would give the league.
Great video as always! I’d love to see Braunschweig vs Hannover.
Derbysieger 💙💙
Danke Copa90 BVB!!
Zvezda-Partizan in Belgrade!
The fact that guy mentioned MK Dons, we're world famous
10:13 sad, I feel hurt
i feel so bad for schalke this year bcs i am supporting them since being 8 year old serb
14:27 did that gut just punch the camera?
Best episode so far
1:58 Frank Ribery?
MN referring to Wisconsin as cheese head.
These are two entirely different things ^^ you simply can not compare german, or even european football in generell, to american "football", that's played with the hands btw 🤣
But that is an entirely other topic
@@philippgross4939 He talks about the rivalry itself, the sport doesnt matter then. And what he says sounds like the rivalry the supporters in this video describe
In Chile, we can apply this to Colo-Colo fans referring to their rivals Universidad de Chile (or "The U") as "the last vowel". Or in Argentina when Boca refers to River as "Gallinas" (even though River adopted that nickname as theirs)
klop went form a team with all heart to a team thats only after prices
