Whenever I start to feel the loneliness of being an Atleti fan. I come back to watch this and realize that there’s so many of us out there and I’m proud to be with Atleti.
🥳 A football legend turns 57 today! 🧤 Where does Peter Schmeichel rank in your all-time list? 📺 Relive his heroics in THAT famous 1999 semi-final replay here: ruclips.net/video/lMeBWk5k9ag/видео.html
no one bullied him. It was banter that's what makes football great. If you don't get stick from your mates when your team loses then it's very easy to be a fan of atleti.
This video is a good representation of what it means to be Atleti. Thank you Copa90 for showing what we really are and giving us the attention that we deserve
Theo Lennhoff the whole world loves you over the past 5 years, worked you way up to winning trophies without being bought out like man city and chelsea
ATLETI!
That story about Atheti fans playing "You can't always get what you want" was absolutely beautiful despite being just a side story. It says so much about the character of the fans. Watching well edited and presented series' like this is like reading a damn good book.
These teams are the Spain’s version of the New York Yankees and New York Mets. One stands for dynasty the other stands for heartbreak. Very similar what we have here in the usa with the Yankees and Mets even though two different sports.
This video really made me so emotional, I´ve been a madrileño and an atleti fan my entire life, and I was there at Calderón singing under the rain with my dad, after more than 20 years going to the stadium every weekend...being an Atleti fan is something else, we never give up, we live with passion, we have the courage and no fear of the powerful...it doesn´t matter if we win or lose, we will always be there. Thank you for this tremendous report,
Its possible. I hope we get to meet up. If we can both get a couple wins in The FA Cup then we will meet up. I hope we play each other. I know we will.
I love how you're an American football fan who took time to watch a soccer/football documentary, we need more people like you who give our sport a fair chance. Thanks and good luck to your Browns!
Wow, what a video...I didn't realise how much history of bad luck Atletico Madrid have had down the years, I guess that's what they are built on the passion the real fans and the loyalty. I didn't know how much it much it meant to Atleti supporters! the derby probably wont mean that much to most Real Madrid 'supporters' I guess I know where they saying "I'm not like you" to Real Madrid fans. Even though they got knocked of CL again by their city rivals they sang with passion in the rain in their last derby in the Vicente Stadium what a club forza Atleti! Respect from the city Liverpool.
Real fans real Real care more about losing to Ateltico than Barca. They care more about El clasico because it's more likely to decide the league but that's not true anymore
You have understood what it is to love Atlético de Madrid. Athletic is more than winning trophies, it is a feeling, a religion. Real Madrid supporters do not understand that a team is supported when it loses. They would not follow your team if you did not win trophies. Loving your club is much more than winning trophies. Football is passion and Atlético generates true passion. I also respect the supporters of Liverpool FC. They showed a lot of passion in the miracle of Istanbul in 2005. That final was fantastic.
Yeah, blah, blah.. STFU. I can tell same for Everton and Liverpool. I bet that Ultras Sur and all RM supporters are same (or maybe bigger) crazy about this game as Atleti's... You cant judge fans of RM because Real is THE GREATEST club ever but the fans of RM vice versa... As a RM fan I like El Clasico but dont give a shit about barcelona. As a RM fan I live for El Madrileno and fucking hate atletico
Our real rivals are Atletico. Barca just happens to be the second biggest team in Spain now. But 15 years ago that was Valencia, in the 80's it was A. Bilbao etc. We are the most loved and hated team in Spain simply because we've been the most consistent since Bernabeu and Di Stefano. But, at least for the people that live in Madrid, our true rivals are los Colchoneros because they are a part of our every day life. Be that in friends, the people at work or school, and our family members. This Madrid vs. Barca "Clasico" was only really created for convenience/marketing (we are the two biggest clubs in Spain and in the world), political reasons (Madrid represents Spain and Barca independence) and of course recently it was taken to a new level by manager and player rivalries Pep vs Mou / CR7 vs Messi.
Here after Atletico won the 20/21 title... So proud of the boys, hope all of their children will be proud to say they support Atletico now, just like Miranda's son 👌
I am an Indian and watched the first football match of my life at age 8 in 2006 world cup and instantly loved the game, as the twc drew to a close I started to watch different leagues as some of my friends always talked about teams like man u, real, barca but never really became a fan of any of these instead while watching la liga I don't know why I just started supporting this team in red and white jerseys whose fans never let the sound down whether the team was winning or losing, maybe I associated myself with the club I don't know, but with every match I fell more and more in love with atleti, got into fights with classmates for badmouthing atleti, watched players go, more loses up till now. It was always my dream to go and watch an atleti game at the Calderon but was never able to though I will definitely carry this place in my heart. I know I am late and the match has already been played a while back, atleti have moved in to the metropolitano but this video just appeared in my recommended and while watching it ALL the memories, ALL the emotions just came flooding into me and man did I started to cry. Oh boy what a beautiful video. Great job.
@@sukritmishra7194 The beautiful thing about this game is the fans, but the fans in the stadium, the beautiful thing is that feeling you have inside a stadium, supporting your team, defending your city, there is no better feeling. Supporting a team from the other side of the globe wont fullfill you, cause they dont need you, thats a fact, just look at germany, people supporting their 5th division teams, thats where the beautiful of this game is at.
@@nitishsaxena1372 no, i support my local team FC Pedras Rubras from portuguese 3rd division and i have no problem with supporting a team that cant even get to 2nd division, its ok for me cause its my city and i will never give up on them. For me its already fucked up when i see people from the north of my country supporting Benfica from south, but supporting a team from the other side of the globe like you do is absolutely strange for me.
@@vittoria2382 yo respeto la pasion argentina me gusta el cilindro, los jugadores que vienen a España dicen que en europa el calderon es lo mas parecido a las hinchadas argentinas.
Argentinian football can not be compared to la liga. The money is in Europe which is where all the best players in the world want to go. It's why we will not see a non European team winning the world club championship .
I already liked Atletico but this has only made me like them even more, luckily I got to attend a game at the Vicente Calderon so next is a game at Metropolitano
You should have recorded more inside the stadium, the atmosphere was mad. And also the final downpoor, which was epic, with every single fan singind under the rain at the end of the match! Good video anyway
I cam here as a Barca fan wanted to say biggest than the Classico! naah!, after finish watching forget about football, get me a wife who supports Atletico Madrid, THAT LOYALTY! Oh dear lord!!!
I discovered yesterday and as an atletic fan I was seeing with tears remebering the match and feelings of that day... and then I saw my boy (he was 6 then) in the 16:21 and the vídeo was already perfect!!
Fantastic video! You guys did a great job, best derby days you've done. I was always a proud Atleti fan but this made even more proud. We have the best fans in the world. If Real Madrid or Barcelona ever goes down in a match their fans will be silent, but if Atleti goes down, We only get louder! De No Ser Como Vosotros!!
Atletico and Dortmund fans just have something special, their fans feel like true fans of football whose teams have succeeded. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester United fans always feel synthetic to me, they chose their team based on their success and not for the love of the game and their local club, Dortmund and Atletico are proper fans, they've seen their club through the highs and the lows and thankfully in recent years they're seeing more and more highs, hopefully it continues
Reece Wilkins You couldn't be more wrong. I've been a Madrid fan since I was 7 years old, and at that time I had no idea of titles or troffies. Some fans are plastic, but you can't generalize.
Rony Coello When I talk about fans, I'm not talking about every single individual fan, I'm talking about them as a whole. And as a whole, the majority of Madrid fans are synthetic, they support the team because they win millions of trophies and that's it, they have no affiliation with Madrid, they have no affiliation or care with the Spanish Royal Family (a HUGE part of their club philosophy which I would hazard a bet that most worldwide Madrid 'fans' don't even have a clue about), they only just care about trophies and buying the worlds best players. Think about it, the whole Galacticos concept is literally just about Real Madrid buying the worlds best players from all the other teams just because they can, and the Real fans LOVE it. Figo they stole from Barcelona by breaking the world transfer record, Zidane they bought for €60ish million when those numbers were absurd, Sergio Ramos they broke the world record transfer for a defender at the time, Ronaldo and Kaka they broke the world record TWICE IN THE SAME WINDOW, and then they went and broke the world record again for Bale and will likely soon break the transfer record for a goalkeeper with De Gea. You wanna tell me that most Madrid support the club regardless of them just buying the best players and winning everything? Don't be ridiculous. At least when Man United started splashing insane amounts of money for players they had the common courtesy of actually struggling in the league at the time and pulling out the only available resources they had to try and salvage Champions League places, Real have never struggled, finishing 2nd to Barcelona for a few years and not winning CL for a few years is not struggling, the fans just want trophies and they don't care a damn about the club itself, they just want to be able to point a finger and themselves and say "haha to everyone else cause we won and we have the best players that we take from everyone else". That's not to say there's no passionate Real fans out there, they do exist, but the numbers are absolutely tiny when you compare them to the number of Atletico fans who are truly Atletico fans, they care deeply about their club, know why? Because they've had barely ANY success in their history apart from the last few years (and even then in the last few years they've hardly won any actual trophies) AND they have a rival in the same damn city that they could turn to if they wanted to win trophies, but they don't turn because they're genuine fans, they love and support their club regardless of the issues, regardless of when they sell their best players; Aguero, Torres, Diego Costa, Falcao, etc and don't bring anyone close to that calibre in to replace them, regardless of having a superior footballing rival, regardless of never really achieving a lot of success until recently. THAT is true genuine fans supporting their club, not just a bunch of fans who want to be associated with a club purely because they know the club will never struggle or because they know that they're just a transfer window away from taking the worlds best players from all the clubs in the world, even as a Real Madrid fan, you should acknowledge that.
Reece Wilkins great anylisis, but revise Atlético de Madrid's titles. Until the 90's we were competitors for the "virtual" second place of Spanish honour chart. 27 trophies including 10 Leagues its not barely nothing as you have said. Kind of tired of that image of recent success. We have lows and highs but always one of the biggest Clubs in Europe and the 3rd one in Spain. Greetings from Madrid
Jimmy Cooper 8 out of 10 of those La Liga titles were won from the 1930s-1970s. While obviously those trophies are still valid trophies, it does reflect that the club hasn't matched anywhere near the success of their rivals up until recently. Hopefully for the fans sake they start to win more. I think most football fans across Europe are a lot more inclined to casually support Atletico and Dortmund in places like the Champions League than they are any other teams in Europe because of the fans and naturally because they're tired of seeing Real, Barca and Bayern Munich win everything so often, I'm certainly tired of them. Greetings from Newcastle, England.
Holy shit I've never cried watching movies in my life, but this... Wow so many feelings, I'm a die hard Culé and this made me cry, so much respect for Atleti

Atlético de Madrid Honours: La Liga, 11 ; Spanish Cup, 10 ; Spanish Super Cup, 5 ; Europe's Cup Winners Cup, 1 ; UEFA Europa League, 3 ; European Super Cup, 3 ; Intercontinental Cup, 1... Third Club with more International trophies and La Liga in Spain; eighth Club with more International trophies in Europe (the first one won in 1962, we are not a "recent big Club" as others, we just in the place we deserve historically). So, as a whole, great Club with great identity and unique supporters that consider their team as a big family. Elite European Club that has the bad luck of sharing city with the most corrupt, plastic, glory-hunter foreign fan seeker, feelingless and money-maker multinational of world's football "industry". As amazing the camera work, and production quality in general was, these documentaries would be nothing without Eli. The passion this guy has for the game is next level
I love this series and it’s really interesting to hear about Real Madrid in these episodes because to me, a madridista, the club have changed fundamentally since Ronaldo and Zidane left. We have far more young players and the way we play has changed drastically. Yes we may not be playing as consistently as previously but the way in which we play has changed.
wow. what a video. I have always considered them rivals than Barcelona. this video made me cry, goosebumps in every minute. What a way to start the Derby days. Amazing video. hala madrid
+Kristofer Mc Cormack i mean some barca fans are just beyond retarded not all but most of them like the messi worshippers and the indians that somehow stumbled upon barcelona are cancerous but there are some well behaved and respectful barca fans
Definitely the best Derby Days you've ever made. So interesting, so well filmed and edited, and with such good experts. This is why the Spanish football is the best in the world- the England league don't have such passionate fans and such good climate. In England everything is plastic now- in Spain is so real, so passionate.
Zumiqam 00 You are completely wrong. In England people support their local team in Spain people support Barça and Madrid. Go to Malaga and you will se more Madrid fans than Malaga fans. and in the Region of Catalonia, people support Barça even if they live in a city that has a team in second division (Profesional footbal)
lol I've got both Spanish and English family and have lived in both countries and I guarantee you that English fans are more passionate, even the Spanish media uses the passion of english fans to advertise the Premiership on Spanish networks. There was an advert on GolDeportes that said "Los ingleses son los que mas viven el fútbol" - The English are the ones that "live" football the most.
+Raul Tamudo thats false. while the majority is a suporter of Real Madrid or Barcelona, many of them ALSO cheer for their local team. this doesn't make them less pasionate.
Not really, I've been to the Bernabeu before and I've seen non league teams with 500 fans each week have more passionate and create more of an atmosphere.
LOL Foreigners telling me that i am wrong. Perhaps you guys should check out this chart: Number of fans that are not either from Barça or Madrid by Province: jdcdn.wabisabiinvestme.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mapa-5.png
I´m an Atlético Fan, I know that i´m writing one year later, but, I want to tell you something, that was probably the best derbi I have ever seen despite of losing and It was the last day of pure Atlético de Madrid, today we have Wanda Metroplitano, a Stadium with an amazing lack of feeling, everything you see is done by bussiness.I cry a lot seeing this video. I can say surely that it was the death of Atleti. Thank you so match.
Best Derby Days in Spain , Sevilla-Betis Deportivo de La Coruña-Celta de Vigo Real Sociedad-Atlhetic de Bilbao Real Madrid-Atlético de Madrid FC Barcelona-RCD Espanyol
I love your videos, mate, but as an Atlético fan there are a couple of things that I need to point out. First, thanks for the video, your work is great, that was a historical day for the Club as it was the last Derby in our beloved stadium, I think you could notice the passion that involves being a Colchonero and this is what make us different from our neighbours. On the other hand, anyone who watch the video would think that Atleti is a loser and, sorry, la, that's not true. It is a fact that Real Madrid is our kryptonite as Sid Lowe said, it is a fact that we have been so unlucky in very particular and important moments in our history in Europe, it is a fact that President Gil led us to the relegation and left the team in bankrupcy. But it is also true that from the 1974 European Final to the 2013 King's Cup Final in the Bernabéu, Atleti won 3 Spanish Leagues (inclunding 2014 fighting against to giants as Madrid and Barça), 6 King's Cup, 2 Spanish Supercups, 2 Europa League, 2 European Supercups, and even 1 Intercontinental Cup (oddly enough, the only Club in the world that owns it, without winning the UCL or Libertadores). To sum up, it is not that we don't care about winning, we like winning just as everyone else, but if we lose we don't leave our team when we are needed the most (membership record when we were in 2nd division) we don't complain about the players when they give everything, and our love for Atleti is not dependant on the titles we win. It's a way of living, hard to understand if you support any other team. Thanks for you videos again, #ForzaAtleti
Rafael Morillo don't be too despondent supporting a big club that always wins is like going to a Casino and cheering when the house wins the surge of triumph that comes with a win for the smaller team fan that washes over you in those precious few moments isn't comprable to the diluted pangs of a Man United or Real fans triumph. We understand life and loss and too reach and be cruelly denied to have offered so much and to feel the hurt is what makes us better people to keep believing and too be rewarded and to embrace truly love that it is not something to be appreciated a year or every other year it is something raw and can't be measured. I would never want to sit in Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford or the Bernebeu to have picked a team like that is surrender your soul to authority that doesn't love you back
spot on. us everton fans get the same shit though weve had more success than most though our last trophy was 23 years ago. least you lot have won loads recently SUPPOSE both are cursed compared to likes of real and lpool, but we can't say were jinxed like fans of clubs like crystal palace. its always taken a lot of luck to win trophies ie staying away from injuries to key players. both have had more than most. we just share cities with two of the most successful in world. we probably wouldn't be as pissed and ridiculed if were llike say a valencia
spot on gordan. imn willing to bet if liverpool or real or united were to have shit madrid and everton fans put up with last twenty thirty years, many of there fans would stop supporting them. when lpool had that little crisis in 2010 under woy, there fans couldn't give away tickets
As a Real Madrid fan, I saw none of the support yesterday. The stadium was nearly empty at full time, people left after the third goal, there was next to no noise in the stadium, no cheer at all. Disappointing from Los Rojiblancos
huge fan of the derby days series, this episode is on another level! Best visuals, story and music I've seen yet from Copa, love your work keep it up guys ❤️

This was great! So good to have derby days back. Loving the passion. Love the shots nice work Copa to capture the moment. this is the reason why I tune in, for this stuff.. it's what football's all about.
This video feels like such a step up in quality for Copa: like, the way it was shot, the pacing, the drama. Swear to god I am properly not arsed about two Spanish teams thinking the other is a tosser but this had me fully in its grip for four seconds shy of twenty minutes. This was so good, man. So glad Derby Days is back.
This documentary is so nice. I am Filipino Football fan (and I admit Im not a fan of any international clubs, only supporting my own local clubs) and seeing the passion of these supporters give me goosebumps. I hope that the Philippines someday, will experience and show this kind of passion for our own local football teams. Right now its dwindling, but there is always some hope.
Brilliant again from copa90 . One of the best series if not the best on football in RUclips . Elli you rock man. You make fall in love with football over and over again.
I'm not a huge football fan but when I was in Madrid on holiday I met a lot of Atletico fans and they had so much passion I honestly fell in love with the team and have supported them ever since
Message for the producers: please, don´t use the term "Galacticos" to refer to Real Madrid (19:45). I see people outside of Spain use it as a general nickname for Real Madrid and it really isn´t here. "Galacticos" only applies to a certain period of Madrid´s history (2000-2005) in which the president Florentino Pérez adopted a market policy of signing one super-star every summer, which actually only worked for three seasons and ended up very bad. "Merengues" ore "vikingos" are more used terms, just like "colchoneros" or "indios" for Atleti.
I needed 5/6 years to understand what it's really means to be an Atletico fan as I am a Bangladeshi, had no idea or experience about Atletico history before 2010 as I started regularly watching football at that time, just had good impression about Atletico because of falcao simeone and Vicente Calderón's wild atmosphere,, I am a fan of this club since 2011 but in 2015, 2016 I was like so annoyed with Atletico board and be like why Atletico don't change simeone, it was like a slow process from beginning to feel the true meaning of Atletico but at that UCL final juanfran's tears after missing that penalty and even in that sadness fans cheering with wet eyes hit me hard that Atletico is a lifestyle not just about winning, fighting like wolves fighting like brothers in win or loss, there's only one thing should be guaranteed is that players trying their very best.. Now a days lots of international fans say simeone out I know they need time to understand the real pride to be an Atletico family... I cried enough in 2014 I cried enough in 2016 all alone in my room at 4 am I don't want to cry in sadness next time
Great to have Derby Days back its what brought me to Copa90.. If exeter get promoted and are in league 1 next season you should come down to Plymouth Argyle and see the Devon Derby its just as passionate as the rest
That day, eliminated by Real Madrid, is still remembered for most Atletico fans as one of the HAPPIEST AND GLORIOUS days in the stands. Yes, we were out, against our bigger enemy. But there was the rain, the thunders... this video shows a bit of the rain but it was raining like crazy. And we were together, our people, last day in our home, hugging each other, singing and hurting our throats burning, and this was this sense of community when we felt: we are not with the team WE ARE THE TEAM. It was an identity thing. I still remember the day with goosebumps and about to cry out of emotion. The difference within both teams? Real Madrid fans are legitimate customers of the show business. Atletico fans are a passionate crew no matter what, not any reason, not further interest in being entertained. We just ARE

I'm a Cleveland Browns fan of the NFL. I totally get Atheltico Madrid to the core because the passion and fatalism rolled up into one.
That's pretty accurate. Best of luck this season with those new weapons

Respect from the city Liverpool.
respect to you too brother
Finally some peaple start to understand the different between us and the madridista
Respect for you too! Torres linked us for ever!
Shit, never knew that Atleti had such a background. I feel you guys, from another pupa team's fan. Fenerbahçe. Respect.

This video is beautifully done. So much emotions.
Great job.
Dont you have a local club? Just support it. Atleti doesnt need you, but your local team do and your city needs you too.

The best Fans in Spain are the Fans of Betis Sevilla.
Greetings from Newcastle, England.
man we are still with United after having horrible last 4 years (by United standards ). if we don't throw bottles on police doesn't we are not loyal.

Great content copa90. More of this please!!
I would never want to sit in Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford or the Bernebeu to have picked a team like that is surrender your soul to authority that doesn't love you back
spot on. us everton fans get the same shit though weve had more success than most though our last trophy was 23 years ago. least you lot have won loads recently
SUPPOSE both are cursed compared to likes of real and lpool, but we can't say were jinxed like fans of clubs like crystal palace. its always taken a lot of luck to win trophies ie staying away from injuries to key players. both have had more than most. we just share cities with two of the most successful in world. we probably wouldn't be as pissed and ridiculed if were llike say a valencia
spot on gordan. imn willing to bet if liverpool or real or united were to have shit madrid and everton fans put up with last twenty thirty years, many of there fans would stop supporting them. when lpool had that little crisis in 2010 under woy, there fans couldn't give away tickets

He's ignorant about Real , it's just an atletico video

Incredible video. So fast paced. So well shot. Favourite Copa90 video EVER!
We just ARE
Eli is a legend
I love how Eibar is always the go to team when you want to give an example of a shit team.
And Brighton for the Prem lol
Incredible video. Nearly teared up during the match part. Unbelievable. Well done Eli
OMG!!! This is the best Derby Days ever, period! It was both a documentary about the history of the "Clásico", and a short film about Atleti fans as well. It was so well done.Congratulations Copa 90, keep up the good work. Big up!
