      I agree, it’s no fun seeing the bite lol that’s the hole point of having fun fishing the start with, it’s feeling that bite! Lol

    • @Boon-ie1rq
      @Boon-ie1rq Год назад +1

      It's fun to see the bite as long as they aren't spawning because they would not be so territorial, protective and just instinctively bite anything. If they aren't spawning, they'll be much more sensitive to details.

    Man I love the zoom 4 inch lizard, on cold rainy spring mornings I'll actually throw it weightless, and it sinks SUPER slow. I dont twitch it, I hardly drag it, most the time I just let it slowly fall, and before it hits bottom my line goes tight. Seems like this is the best time of the year for me to use them, always assumed because it's during the spawn and they see it ass a nest raider

    I love the warlock head, but I hate when the screw lock starts moving around in that head. Recently been using the dirty jigs Scott canturbury head in 3/16...I think I like it better. Both do great around the grass here on Guntersville. Also, I like a baby brush hog. Give them a try!

    Great vid Gene. Sometimes I take a pair of pliers and clip off a bit of that screw lock just to increase the distance. Owner 3/16 oz is money for me. And if the plastic is a bit hard, there's always the option of cutting a little slit on the bottom with a knife! That trick a must when fishing weedless paddletails for walleye here up north. 👍

    It was awesome to have a conversation with you at the Classic Sir . I hope you can catch a few on one of my Arky Shakes I gave you . I'm like you , I use strictly a straight tail worm . Here in East Tennessee - the Zoom Swamp Crawler is king !!! It's a pretty salty bait , all the Shakey Heads I was buying were having a hard time not ripping the worm after 1 or 2 fish . That's when I decided to let the lead fill the weed guard hole in my Do It Arky Jig mold and cut off the collar and factory bait keeper . I tied that 15 lb mono keeper on and now I can get atleast 3-4 fish out of Zoom's softest worm . The Arky head comes through anything but grass pretty good . Thanks for everything Sir #FLUKEMASTER

    I love a shaky head and I even have a really solid lighter baitcasting setup. I could get away with a 1/8 ounce but I usually fish 3/16 and a screw lock. My favorite worm would have to be a GrandeBass air tail worm. It’s like a zoom trick worm with a flat head and a air pocket in the tail that makes the bait stand up. One other worm I love to use it a 13 fishing bubble butt or a joystick. The normal sized one is best because the body is super thin.

    Thanks for the video… and yes, I learned something! I always tie a double uni knot for my braid to leader connection. I’ve only had one failure, and that was operator error, but I’ll make sure to keep the length short enough to be above the first line guide from now on.
