I just love that your winter outfits jibe with my Minnesota winter weather! Get tired of those southerners showing ankle pants and loafers with bare ankles! I know they have much warmer weather and that works for them. Nice to see real cold weather clothing. Really appreciate your slow fashion.

Texan here! We had a little burst of winter this past week. Y'all would probably laugh at us. We got a quarter inch of ice and the entire city closed down! 😃 😀 😄 😁 🤣

It is a lot easier to get around in snow than on icy roads. I’ve lived in Texas and those ice filled parking lots are dangerous. You have no traction. I live in Alaska now and we have a lot of snow now, but we are driving in it.
If it’s any consolation Vancouver, British Columbia is the same way LOL snow comes and the city’s in a panic 😱

Loved everything except the gold skirt with the tan boots. Looks like you are mixing a warm with a cool color pallet there and they are fighting each other. Great video!

Oh my gosh, I've never really been interested in puffer jackets because they don't particularly suit my style, body type or lifestyle but on a recent trip to Japan I bought one and can say they are an absolute must for any winter travel capsule. So practical!
I agree! I live near the west coast, so a waterproof hooded raincoat is my outerwear essential. By layering a lightweight puffer jacket underneath, I can wear the raincoat all winter. Warm and dry is the goal!

Absolutely love your outfits Alyssa. So many of them would be what I would style for myself in a travel capsule, if I were travelling to Eastern Australia, where the weather is much cooler and wetter than Western Australias warm, drier winter. No need for a puffer jacket here. I have a gorgeous pair of tan Doc Martins, 6cm heel, vintage style laceup boots. I've had them for 10 plus years. I love them, so comfortable and will never part with them. One of my favourite outfits for winter is a black, fine knit, V neck wool jumper with blue jeans and boots 😄 Thank you, as always, for sharing your travel adventures 🖤💙🤍

Love seeing how you can pack so little and make so many outfits for each event you attended. AMAZING stylist!! Your choices are so thoughtfilled and inspiring to travel. I always bring a scarf to accessorize or use different ways. Do you bring scarfs for travel?
Very fun to see you elevate my winter uniform in so many ways! I was successful in my No buy (and dry) January, but on February 2nd I ordered your belt from Brave Leather. And enjoyed a Sicilian white. 😊 At first I wasn't sure if the embossed leather was too dressy for my style, but seeing you style it with casual pieces helped me realize it's going to add an element of contrast to my outfits. Right?
We skipped winter almost altogether here in NC, except for a week or so in Dec. However, seeing you style your clothes for this trip helped me see how to style my wardrobe pieces during this weird weather: not winter but not yet spring. Thank you!

The thing with down however is that if you put something over it and it gets compressed too much then it looses its ability to keep you warm. The down needs air around it to act as the insulator. Lose that trapped air and you defeat the purpose of wearing down.

I'm going to Split Croatia in 3 months for 9 days definitely only want to take a carry-on that's it makes traveling so much easier to not have to check in luggage less stressful
My first „ power of my people shirt“ arrived today and what can I say…I am totally happy with it ❤ The shipping to Germany was very quick, after 4 days It arrived ! Wow 🤩 I love how many outfits you created! That’s usually the hardest part of traveling is getting enough outfits for your trip. And all in one carry on is tremendous 🎉

Great! I'm planning a trip (this year or next???) to Peru, from Oregon, and I'm gathering ideas on packing *very* light. I've got the backpack (as my overhead bin piece) and the purse/bag (for the other stuff) and don't want to check in a piece. Lima, Peru hardly ever gets below 50 degrees F, and around 70-85 F for highs, so it will be very different clothing than what you've shown us -- but the color combo is the same that I'm going for. So far I've purchased a pair of Eileen Fisher black silk pants and a pair of Teva black sandals that could be beachwear to dressy sandals. I'll no doubt be wearing my destroyed Levis jean jacket, packable black down jacket, and a pale camel cashmere shawl/scarf. Of course I'll bring my black silk blouse, a pair of black jeans and a pair of blue jeans. Beyond that...I'm still planning.
Except for that few days of single digit weather here in Georgia, all your outfits are soooo my style!
Great Video! I travel often and never check a bag. I never thought of having high heeled winter boots. It really makes a difference. I have stopped overpacking my running gear as of late. The Cream Brave belt is killing me. I may break down for another belt. Cheers!

Absolutely love these combinations just my style, weather in UK can be pretty temperamental, made the mistake on a city break a couple of weeks ago and wore knee-high boots which I thought were very comfortable, but weren't because we did a lot of walking and so need to bring along more comfortable flatter boots and change into something more glamorous for the evening in future. Love the simplicity of the capsule wardrobe together with the lovely jewellery. I would probably take a leopard print scarf or something with all the tones needed. Love the idea of a white shirt under the pale blue V-neck I'm definitely going to do that one for spring. Thanks for the great vlogs, always an inspiration x

Alyssa, after the lock down of 2 ago. We make those quick 3 to 4 or six hours to porta from outside. To gather with the outside ports and towns of Sonora or next to San Francisco, Ca.

You look so chic effortlessly, just like the you g Italian lasses I saw in Italy :). It is easy to wear all black when traveling in winter. I am guilty. I do try to use colorful accessories to break the boringness. Also I stop buying black items because I have enough to last another 2 life times.
Lol.. I hear ya,we are cricher of habits It's great that you add colorful accessories to your outfit to add more colors, it elevates any look! Maybe you can consider how to explore more with colors and buy a few clothing pieces and mix it with your closet and check how it makes you feel.

That all fine if your a small size. Try that with clothes Lin the plus size, like 24, 26, 28.
Wear same colour top and bottom, add a contrasting structured jacket or gilet over. A long cardigan can also work. Match footwear to leg wear colour. Make the jacket an interesting focal point.
