This song is hilarious, puts a massive smile on my face, in a good way. So left of field, sounds like Billy was having fun.
One of my fave songs on the album. The ladys' voices really bring out the magnetic charm of the song as they do on many others. It's pure ear candy.
thanks. It was a big project to work on. Creating parts etc. Amazing songs
Been an SP fan since ‘91 and I fucking love this song so much lol Billy never fails to surprise any excite me 🤘🏻🐯
LYRICS
Tyger, tyger
Along that wire, prowl
For that elysian soul, I've got to know
Fang to fang
Bang your gold
For that elysian soul
(Climbs) Climbs all pearls to drag you out (You out)
What control is strong enough to mind you
Strong enough to fight?
And stung enough to waltz through
Dread, dark light
Hum that lonely view
Dead desires, this
The thrall stays in your kiss (In your kiss)
Need you, need not miss that kiss
Tyger, tyger
Along that wire, prowl
For that elysian soul, I've got to know
Fang to fang
Bang your gold
For that elysian soul
I've got to know (I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know)
(I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know)
I'm sharp enough to focus
Sharp enough to knife
I'm sharp enough to pull through, seraphic bite
Kicking and scratching and wordlessly acting
And not making very nice
Does control drag you out? (You out)
Be still the ides
Tyger, tyger
Along that wire, prowl
For that elysian soul, I've got to know
Fang to fang
Bang your gold
For that elysian soul
Fang to fang (I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know)
Bang your gold (I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know)
Tyger, tyger (I've got to know, I've got to know, I've got to know)
Along that wire
(byw i'm a singer/songwriter inspired by Lauv/Jeremy Zucker. It'd mean a lot if you check out my music and subscribe, promise you won't regret💛stay safe:)
Thank you so much. Are these straight from the album booklet?
This song is refreshing like is not boring at all. Is not trying to mimic old SP stuff and at the same time is SP as f.ck. it reminds me of Pug from Adore.
I agree and love it!
tHE KILLERS do this a lot better its really is not refreshing sounds tired and dull
This song is very under rated. I've had a lot of time to digest this album, and this one keeps telling me to come back for another hit.
One of my favorite from Cyr! Really cool and a totally different territory for the band
This is a bop!!!
This band is unstoppable! It just doesn’t get any better than The Smashing Pumpkins!
Except for Madonna
@@hologramhouse729 who?
Hells yeah!
so far, ATUM is fucking amazing! cant wait for the next 2 parts!!
The backing vocals are amazing!! Love this song!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
It was one of the first I worked on. And everything I demoed stuck. Am very proud. :)
Absolute stroke of genius to have Katie Cole and Sierra Swan do backing vocals on the album, gives it a whole new dimension :-)
This by far is the most amazing & greatest band ever. Thank u Billy.
Smashing still kickin' ass and takin' names.
Sensational! 💚🤘🏿
criminally underrated
This is the type of song that made so many of us fall in love with the smashing pumpkins!
Just love the feel of all the new music. Great job Billy!!!
So Katie had nothing to do with it??
Love this song. 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant... Good luck singing this live.... Woooow
my favorite!
I love this song!
This shit got me up kick steppin' and doing the sprinkler all around my room.
What does "doing the sprinkler" mean?
@@alukuhito It's a dance move.
@@clownnookie Does it look like a North American suburban kid running through a sprinkler on the grass in the summer?
@@alukuhito (*laughs) No. It's much, much worse!
@@clownnookie OK. I looked it up. It doesn't seem to fit this song, despite the cheesiness of both the dance and the song.
Love love love
Yesssss!!!
I really enjoy this song, something about it can't put my finger on it though just magical
Thumbs up for increasing the volume on the female vocals.
I anticipate (and have already seen) much vitriol for this track. It is by far the most BIZARRE choice on this already unconventional record. Personally, I fucking love it. I love it dearly, as if it were my own child. Billy Corgan, over a stomping base, in the year of our Lord 2020, singing about a proverbial tiger as such, "Kicking and scratching and wordlessly acting and not making very nice!" as 'pew pew' synths fire overhead. Yes. Yes, please. I'm not being ironic. This song is CAMP. In the best possible way. With a wink, and a smile, this track marches forward, its gigantic balls intact, right into my ears. It makes me beg and plead for mercy for exactly two minutes and fifty seconds, then tells me to clean myself off before abruptly kicking me out of its apartment. And the goddamn privilege is mine.
This comment is my new favorite thing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Pew pew synths fire lol, funny comment
gives me robert smith vibes, I dig
Great 👍
You can straight dump it to this 🕺
J do C.
' I don't love you any more '.
Smashing are the best band that survived the 90s ( along with Tool and radiohead).
They Made it becouse they changed and did not got stuck in the past; may this BE a lesson
This whole album is incredible! Great job!
billy corgan est un génie. Il joue avec les mots et c'est de l'art.
Billy wrote this song while watching Tiger King.
How ironic I'm listening to it while watching tiger king
Kinda get an Adore mixed with Machina 2 vibe
💙💙💙💙💙💙
DAFT PUMPKIM, EXCELENT ALBUM, LONG LIFE TO THE 90'S.
This song makes me laugh. I mean, good for you Billy, but what would 1994 you think of this when you were touring siamese dream and writing mcis?
It’s not 1994 anymore. He is exploring new elements of his artistry.
@@mellitalksmovies yeah i know, i love 99.9 percent of what Billy's done since 1994
1994 is gone, little buddy. Billy Corgan is a true musician, unlike many of his contemporaries of the 90s who just rode the grunge thing, then died off (some literally). Billy has non-stop been making music, whether people like it or not. I can't but respect that. I love this album too.
😎👍💗🔥💣🥁🎼 JIMMY!!!
What? He barely does anything on this album.
🎶🎶🎶🎶🔊🔊🔊
Some songs aren’t bad but surely 20 is too many... he could’ve easily made 13-14 tracks. 4th time I listen to the album and more than half of the songs won’t stick in my head. He’s got James and Jimmy back, 3 guitars and the best drummer ever and this is it?
I agree. A lot of the songs are great, but quite a few (especially in the last half) are so far pretty forgettable. This one is great though.
I listened to the whole thing once and I remotely like about 5 songs and none of them are close to any of the old pumpkin great songs..
Juat a horrible direction for Billy..
Very trite and redundant
Extremely disappointing
Gonna listen to MCIS now
❗🎹❤🎹💥🎹👍
Hola será genial hacer un dueto con tyger de disarm
I bet William Blake inspired this one.
Cyr is golden. But this is my fav track.
Any songs that have a Zero vibe?
Hey, what is the type of this music called?
synthpop
Me ry-ke
Is Jimmy Chamberlin still in the band? I haven't heard his drumming much with these new releases.
Yes he is but billy and co were going for 80ish style album. The next album is gonna be rock I believe
he is still in the band So is James
@@nebulous8389 That's good news. I just feel like having a drummer like Jimmy in your band and not using his talents is like have a mansion but deciding to sleep in the tree house.
@@psychocuda But sometimes sleeping in the tree house is funnnn
He's playing on an e-kit. And has said in interviews the drum choices were his. He's just trying to serve the song.
What's the best song on this album?
Save Your Tears
🎶🌈🌟🌈🎶
In the years to follow. This will be derided for the atrocity it is right now.
Billy has over indulged himself for too long. The old record label system constrained his ego and over indulgence somewhat despite being guilty or accused of being over indulgent. Back then he backed up the indulgence with quality.
Meh.
I think the exact opposite. A lot of people will going back to this album questioning themselves why they didn't listen to this more.
@@alukuhito agreed, I think Billy is ahead of the curve on this record. Many people aren’t ready for this sound yet, but Billy knows what he’s doing.
@@starwart2000 I love the fact that Billy, James, and Jimmy are together making music that they like, not conforming to the standards or what people expected of them, and really putting out an album that rocks. It's to be expected that there would be a lot of haters regarding this sound. People are conservative. They want the old music back. Anyway, it sounds like they'll be getting that soon. Apparently SP are working on over 40 songs right now. Undoubtedly some of it will even please the boring people that just want a rehash of Siamese Dream. The funny thing is there is so much classic SP in Cyr, but if people don't want to hear it, they don't want to hear it. There are certain sounds here and there that are just so classic SP, it couldn't be anyone else. I love also seeing the old influences there - The Cure, Joy Division, various early 80s new wave stuff. This album will keep me happy straight through to whenever they decide to release another album.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. hahah haah hah ha aher hhe he he ahhhhh.......................haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha!
It borders on offensive for a band that wrote Mayonnaise, Today and Mellon Collie. I wish that they wrote the stunning songs of the past, but they don't.
This song is incredible though
Man Pearl Jam new album is gold compared to this... And I thought the album was bad.
I’m a big Pearl Jam fan but they have made an interesting Album since Binaural. SP aren’t on a totally different level 🤘🏻
New album was good. Thought the instrumentation was a little queer for SP. But the songs are really well written. God bless & be well.
this sounds like corey feldman. Billy, seriously, I’ve been a pumpkin head for 18 years, stop making music under the name Pumpkins - please. The band ended after Machina 2. Please do not make any new music under the band name and spoil the real pumpkin songs. Just do it under your solo name. Said with all peace and love for you
I agree, this album is disgraceful. An embarrassment to Pumpkin fans
Yes... idk what is going on here. I was always cool with the quirky side of Billy and The Pumpkins, but this has to be a joke... Lily and We Only Come Out at Night and The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete and some of the fun Zwan stuff. It was cool-it just feels like there is nothing here
Agreed. This is a Billy solo project and should be labeled as that
Is this song a joke?
I love Gish, siamese dream, pisces iscariot, mellon collie, adore, and machina, not because its old, but because its good music. I CANT stand this album. Not because its new but because it genuinely sucks. From the production, to the lack of guitar work, to the shitty synth sounds, to the basic drum patterns and dance beats. This album makes a mockery of everything that the pumpkins used to be and absouletly cheapens their legacy. if i were them i would be perpetually ashamed and dissatisfied. this album absolutely sucks.
Really? Ashamed and dissatisfied? How about instead of complaining about music with YOUR prefer instruments, you just let an artist be what they are suppose to be.... AN ARTIST and create whatever they want. Strange how you wanna bring up those albums, yet they are all different??? Every single album has been different, never the play style. Yet, Theirs always that one shit fan like yourself that wants this or that. They give you ADORE, ITS TOO POPPY. They give you MACHINA, ITS TOO FUTURISTIC. They give you Zeitgeist, ITS HAS TOO MUCH OVERPRODUCTION. How about fucking just enjoy artist and no knit pick every little damn thing. Jesus....
But hey, you want to play the same shit from the 90s? How about you just focus on your own band that wants to sound like Alice In Chains - Them Bones your own career and never create anything fucking thing differently.
@@Dylan-jf8dc my issue with it is not that it sounds different from their other stuff. As you said, all the albums i listed do indeed sound different and i love the difference of every one of them. Machina is also a 2000's album so its not a 90's issue for me. In fact theres a ton of killer music coming out right now from both old and new bands that i love. My issue with this album is that there is little to no creativity involved at all. From beginning to end it is over processed cookie cutter pop music that anyone with a laptop and interface could make. This is push button garbage that relies on machines to hash out the same repetitive bullshit over and over again and i for one expect far more from a band that i know is capable of putting out truly inspiring and genius level work. The only thing that is on caliber with an album like melon collie in this is the lyrical content and sheer number of songs. Everything else is half ass lazy music performed by musicians that are capable of far more if they were as hungry for it as the were 20 years ago. Watch and see if billy corgan doesnt come out 5 years from now and say this album was heavily underwhelming. Knowing his perfectionist drive i have no doubt he will. If this was another band with another name i wouldnt care but for a band that i have always loved and admired this is severally disappointing. Other bands from their era like marilyn manson and alice and chains since you pointed them out are releasing the greatest works of their careers because their heart is still invested in the music and thats exactly what this album is lacking in a nutshell. It lacks heart. It lacks heart, soul, and creativity all around. Furthermore, thats my opinion. I wont apologize for it and frankly i dont have too. Last i checked freedom of speech is still a thing so im at liberty to say whatever the hell i want about anything. Take it easy.
To do this to The SP name is horrible! Just make a fkn solo record cuz thats all this is.
@@Dylan-jf8dc For real, man-Grouch is spot on here. It was always weird being a Pumpkins fan because, you're right, they always changed and every album was different. But it always worked and stood the test of time because the songs were usually good-just presented differently. There were songs here and there that I never liked like Annie Dog or Heavy Metal Machines, but overall it was mostly always good. These are not good songs, and they don't seem to have a hint of love or passion behind them. Not everybody could do what the Pumpkins used to do-anybody can do this. This sounds like it could have been done with a basic computer and casio synth from 1991. Where is Jimmy, where is James? I never got into The Future Embrace-I sold it/no longer own it, but that was WAY better than any song I've heard from this project. It's just not good. It looks like I have a few songs left to listen to, but idk... I really want to like this, I really wanted to like Shiny...
@@TheAbsoluteTruth334 Got your back on this, man...
Double album of lame!
