The judge possibly enforced the longest sentence because he is a celebrity....ya know, as a way to deter others and to show that his celebrity status doesn't exempt him from responsabily.

I'm just learning of this case. When people compared it to Lori Vallow, I just couldn't watch. I watched Aaron's video first but my own house was a little chaotic with chores and such, so I missed many details. I heard him mention Lori and then later on mentioning Chad. So, I just asked what's up with the name Chad lately? I got Chad confused with Kevin😂 I've tried to go back and delete that comment, but there are so many. Maybe Aaron deleted it for me. did y’all know Scientology started work with Thorn back in 2018? The same year operation Underground Railroad started? It’s a foundation for trafficking just like thorn that says they want to help trafficking victims but more times than not target actual sex workers that are consenting to their work. I just found out thorn was doing the same thing and scouring the internet, building a data base on sex workers. As a former sw that has promoted thorn, my heart sank to my ass. I think we all need to start looking into who and what we support on deeper levels because surface level niceties don’t determine whether or not people are good people or fighting the good fight, that’s for sure.

My grandmother (who raised me) taught me a high level of healthy independence at a young age. I was in charge of packing my own lunches as well. The difference though was that all the food was prepared and organized for me in the fridge, all I had to do was grab the ziplocked sandwich, choose my piece of fruit, choose my little side snack, and grab my caprisun and put it in my lunch box. And if I was too lazy to do that, there was ALWAYS money on my account at school. So if I didn't pack my own lunch the alternative was me eating the school food that I just didn't particularly care for, not starving like this lady is doing. Really heartbreaking, I'm glad that things are gonna be changing for the better for those kids.
Similar to me. My mom and dad divorced when I was super young and my mom taught me early after this how to care for myself and be independent. I’d always wake up, make my own breakfast, lunch, etc. But if I messed up, forgot, anything, my mom would be there to help and support me. As a mother, how tf can you go about your day knowing your child is hungry?

In other words: _"We never expected that these letters would become public"._ Also, they are almost _certainly_ reading their "apology" from laptops right in front of them. They keep glancing down, as if reading directly. ...Mila sounds like she's reading a PSA for "Save The Children" or something similar, and Ashton sounds like a robot. Very regrettable behavior from a couple that I previously admired (especially Mila). This-together with the alleged behavior that he demonstrated while married to Demi-has made me lose all respect for both celebrities.
Lets not forget that Mila was 14 when introduced to these "friend's" she says he is good. But unfortunately she never met "good" she was already being exploited and a teenage actor at 14.. and ashton was a legal adult from the beginning of that show....and they got married. To be somewhat fair, they didn’t get married until much later. Ashton had a whole other marriage to Demi Moore before they got back together, but I believe Demi came out with some bad takes on Ashton after their marriage. I’m sure Ashton being her first real kiss, playing a girl that was basically obsessed with him for so long, and what ever weird dynamics were apparently going in behind scenes, definitely planted some seeds though.

What I hate is a lot of celebrities think they are genuinely good people. But the world they are in constantly caters to them and they think everything they do is either excusable or they are completely in denial that they did anything wrong. I think they believe they were doing a good thing when they sent in those letters. And they probably don’t believe Danny was capable of what he was convicted of. Or they just think he had some “skeletons” in his closet. They don’t realize the full gravity of what he did because they are blinded by who they think he was regardless of what the courts think.

When I first heard about Mila and Ashton writing these character letters, I could not get my head around why they would chose to involve themself and talk positive about a rapist, friend or not! Especially due to Ashtons work with human trafficking and advocacy for victims but hearing about his alleged involvement in finding his girlfriend after she had been murdered and that if it’s true and both Danny Masterson and the “church” of Scientology both knew, IT MAKES SENSE. One of the victims said how people from the “church” would threaten her before she came forward, so who’s to say they didn’t do the same to Mila and Ashton if they refused write the letters, with knowing what they know about Ashton..

I just don't understand people willing to defend violent criminals because they were good to them and other people. That is exactly the persona an abuser intends to have. They NEED their victims to not be believed. They NEED everyone to not believe it because they're "such a great person". That persona is carefully crafted and presented and people are manipulated to think that person is wonderful. Anyway...regardless of how "great" they are to you they committed violence against another human(s). At that point your experience with them is irrelevant. You can say to someone "You were wonderful to me, but You've done something awful and I can no longer support that". My Husband and I did it ourselves to someone who literally gave him a place to live when he was homeless. However great he was to us, he hurt someone else and we couldn't support someone who had done what he did.
I’m disgusted with everyone who wrote a letter on Danny’s behalf. This casts a dark cloud over everything these people have ever done and truly shows their true character. Ashton in particular is a huge hypocrite pretending to care about children all while saying he’d trust a convicted violent offender with his children.

About what the guy has said about Ashton's grlfrnd murder I couldn't anderstand why did his testimony created reasonable Doubt that the cops could not catch the killer in time i think its irrelevant !! Because I think it's the other way around the cops knew he walked in the house but they let him testify with his original story because if he said that he went in it would create a reasonable Doubt in the favor of the killer and he could have walked out so basically his testimony put the killer in jail .. and us talking about it might give him a reason to appeal!!!😢 Please someone tell me am wrong

I’m not surprised they wrote letters. One of my family members was getting SA by their uncle from the age of 3-8 (they are 10 now). He was recently CONVICTED of it and his family members wrote letters about how “honest” he was and a “role model” and “upstanding man”. He did this as little as 2 years ago i that we KNOW ABOUT. So nothing shocks me anymore.

this was a hard episode. My heart is really with Danny's victims and glad he was convicted! I also did not know about 8 passengers. It was hard to watch her act/talk like that. I really hope her kids are safe.
That whole Ashton thing disappointed me. Not in the same scenarios, but I understand loving someone who was convicted of a bad crime. You can love that person still but you have to also understand they deserve to pay for what they did. My experience wasn’t anything to do with SA or children but it was still awful and other ppl were hurt and lost. You have to be empathetic for that other family. It’s tough to juggle but you can’t try to make what your love one did right when it’s clearly wrong.

Mila Kunis just seems like an evil woman with no morals i don’t think she has a drop of sympathy for any victims anywhere (since she wanted to use such a broad statement) and while it’s sad that she was definitely groomed she seems like the type to blame the victim and they all know the truth they just think they’re above the law. And since Danny knew about Ashton hiding the murder i’m sure there’s more secrets that they’re protecting for each other until the grave.
I think she is in denial that she was a victim of grooming herself, and it helps her to dehumanise these survivors rather than identify with them and face her own trauma.

Those inflated numbers have had me sussed about how much good they could be doing without getting any of the statistics right in the first place. I hadn’t been sure what y’all’s current contribution to the organization was but it’s great to hear that fundraising has been redirected for better causes.

I think the movement Janelle was referring to in regards to the Turpins was "Quiverfull", where they just keep squeezing out kids until it is no longer physically possible, whether they can care for them or not. I really, really hope things turn out better for the Franke children than the Turpins, who went on to be abused again in foster care, it is absolutely horrific.

Not to excuse mila and ashton's letters but I think its easy to turn on other people in Danny's life. They shared the person that they knew, the person he presented himself to be to them. It is very possible they did not know this side of him like his victims did. It's also possible he groomed the two of them as well, they were kids when they met, still young, gullible and naive. We often forget that people like Danny also groom their friends, acquaintances, and families, not just their victims. I do have to say though that I'm very disappointed in whole situation... its sad that this happened in general and so many women were harmed. My heart hurts for them... what he did is inexcusable.
I feel all the character letters for Masterson shouldnt be held high. Just because he's a good person in public and to his friends doesn't mean he's not a rapist. It's infuriating and breaks my heart. I loved the show and now I can't watch it without getting sick.
1:36:30 a somewhat positive update on the Turpin kids; Jennifer and Jordan (Jennifer is the oldest child and Jordyn is the one that escaped and called 911) are both doing really well now! Only one of their other siblings has public social media that I’m aware of (Jeanette) but the girls all seem to have found people that love and support them. did y’all know Scientology started work with Thorn back in 2018? The same year operation Underground Railroad started? It’s a foundation for trafficking just like thorn that says they want to help trafficking victims but more times than not target actual sex workers that are consenting to their work. I just found out thorn was doing the same thing and scouring the internet, building a data base on sex workers. As a former sw that has promoted thorn, my heart sank to my ass. I think we all need to start looking into who and what we support on deeper levels because surface level niceties don’t determine whether or not people are good people or fighting the good fight, that’s for sure.

My grandmother (who raised me) taught me a high level of healthy independence at a young age. I was in charge of packing my own lunches as well. The difference though was that all the food was prepared and organized for me in the fridge, all I had to do was grab the ziplocked sandwich, choose my piece of fruit, choose my little side snack, and grab my caprisun and put it in my lunch box. And if I was too lazy to do that, there was ALWAYS money on my account at school. So if I didn't pack my own lunch the alternative was me eating the school food that I just didn't particularly care for, not starving like this lady is doing. Really heartbreaking, I'm glad that things are gonna be changing for the better for those kids.
Similar to me. My mom and dad divorced when I was super young and my mom taught me early after this how to care for myself and be independent. I’d always wake up, make my own breakfast, lunch, etc. But if I messed up, forgot, anything, my mom would be there to help and support me. As a mother, how tf can you go about your day knowing your child is hungry?

Very regrettable behavior from a couple that I previously admired (especially Mila). This-together with the alleged behavior that he demonstrated while married to Demi-has made me lose all respect for both celebrities.

Especially due to Ashtons work with human trafficking and advocacy for victims but hearing about his alleged involvement in finding his girlfriend after she had been murdered and that if it’s true and both Danny Masterson and the “church” of Scientology both knew, IT MAKES SENSE. One of the victims said how people from the “church” would threaten her before she came forward, so who’s to say they didn’t do the same to Mila and Ashton if they refused write the letters, with knowing what they know about Ashton..

I just don't understand people willing to defend violent criminals because they were good to them and other people. That is exactly the persona an abuser intends to have. They NEED their victims to not be believed. They NEED everyone to not believe it because they're "such a great person". That persona is carefully crafted and presented and people are manipulated to think that person is wonderful. Anyway...regardless of how "great" they are to you they committed violence against another human(s). At that point your experience with them is irrelevant. You can say to someone "You were wonderful to me, but You've done something awful and I can no longer support that". My Husband and I did it ourselves to someone who literally gave him a place to live when he was homeless. However great he was to us, he hurt someone else and we couldn't support someone who had done what he did.

I’m disgusted with everyone who wrote a letter on Danny’s behalf. This casts a dark cloud over everything these people have ever done and truly shows their true character. Ashton in particular is a huge hypocrite pretending to care about children all while saying he’d trust a convicted violent offender with his children.
My two sons father is a great dad- to them. Loves his kids, they love him. But he still beat the shit out of me when we were together and constantly cheated on me. It’s definitely hard to wrap your brain around how someone could be both of those things, but it happens. People can be Jekyll and Hyde’s when it comes to what goes on behind closed doors, you never really know what someone is capable of.

Because I think it's the other way around the cops knew he walked in the house but they let him testify with his original story because if he said that he went in it would create a reasonable Doubt in the favor of the killer and he could have walked out so basically his testimony put the killer in jail .. and us talking about it might give him a reason to appeal!!!😢

And yes, I believe the father is just as guilty as the mother, he should be behind bars as well. Why is it that the worst people can have children, but those who would make loving parents cannot?!

I’m not surprised they wrote letters. One of my family members was getting SA by their uncle from the age of 3-8 (they are 10 now). He was recently CONVICTED of it and his family members wrote letters about how “honest” he was and a “role model” and “upstanding man”. He did this as little as 2 years ago i that we KNOW ABOUT. So nothing shocks me anymore.
They may have not been summoned to write the letters but that doesnt mean the heads of Scientology didnt blackmail them to do so.

this was a hard episode. My heart is really with Danny's victims and glad he was convicted! I also did not know about 8 passengers. It was hard to watch her act/talk like that. I really hope her kids are safe.
The letters and the apology from Ashton and Mila are sickening! Everyone that wrote letters on behalf of Danny should be ashamed of themselves.
That whole Ashton thing disappointed me. Not in the same scenarios, but I understand loving someone who was convicted of a bad crime. You can love that person still but you have to also understand they deserve to pay for what they did. My experience wasn’t anything to do with SA or children but it was still awful and other ppl were hurt and lost. You have to be empathetic for that other family. It’s tough to juggle but you can’t try to make what your love one did right when it’s clearly wrong.
My question for Ashton is even though youd leave your kid alone with him, would you leave your sleeping wife alone with him?

Mila Kunis just seems like an evil woman with no morals i don’t think she has a drop of sympathy for any victims anywhere (since she wanted to use such a broad statement) and while it’s sad that she was definitely groomed she seems like the type to blame the victim and they all know the truth they just think they’re above the law. And since Danny knew about Ashton hiding the murder i’m sure there’s more secrets that they’re protecting for each other until the grave.

I think she is in denial that she was a victim of grooming herself, and it helps her to dehumanise these survivors rather than identify with them and face her own trauma.

I have never heard of Ashton being connected to that murder that’s so creepy and really adds up. Do I think he killed her? No but I do think he could have prevented another murder

I’m very relieved to hear y’all address the issues with Thorn, especially outside of it just being Ashton and Mila’s organization given what has happened. Those inflated numbers have had me sussed about how much good they could be doing without getting any of the statistics right in the first place. I hadn’t been sure what y’all’s current contribution to the organization was but it’s great to hear that fundraising has been redirected for better causes.

I think the movement Janelle was referring to in regards to the Turpins was "Quiverfull", where they just keep squeezing out kids until it is no longer physically possible, whether they can care for them or not. I really, really hope things turn out better for the Franke children than the Turpins, who went on to be abused again in foster care, it is absolutely horrific.

I had just gotten to the altar and realized I had completely forgotten to put on my veil 🤣 I had cute butterfly and bat clips in my hair so literally no one would have known I even had a veil. My Mom laughed when I told her and she said veils are a sign of obedience to husbands and I have never been obedient 🤣

Not to excuse mila and ashton's letters but I think its easy to turn on other people in Danny's life. They shared the person that they knew, the person he presented himself to be to them. It is very possible they did not know this side of him like his victims did. It's also possible he groomed the two of them as well, they were kids when they met, still young, gullible and naive. We often forget that people like Danny also groom their friends, acquaintances, and families, not just their victims.
I do have to say though that I'm very disappointed in whole situation... its sad that this happened in general and so many women were harmed. My heart hurts for them... what he did is inexcusable.

1:36:30 a somewhat positive update on the Turpin kids; Jennifer and Jordan (Jennifer is the oldest child and Jordyn is the one that escaped and called 911) are both doing really well now! Only one of their other siblings has public social media that I’m aware of (Jeanette) but the girls all seem to have found people that love and support them. Jennifer is a phlebotomist and also recently started her own jewelry business, as well as she got engaged earlier this year. Jordan is working towards becoming a motivational speaker but is doing social media work in the meantime. Jeanetta keeps her personal life more private but recently shared a very sweet message about her boyfriend on her IG and seems to be spending much of her time enjoying nature and the rave scene. Unfortunately they were treated terribly in foster care, but these three seem to be thriving now and enjoying their freedom
Wilmer was under fire for like and daring young girls as well. At the end of the 70s show Mila had kissed Danny, Ashton and Wilmer to think about how long this has been going on is sick
