When Kendall commented that she did a whole lot of nothing in her 20’s and her 30’s so far are more eventful, this sparked some hope in me! I’ve dealt with chronic illness since 2014 (similarish symptoms to what Kendall had sort of kind of), when I graduated high school. Recently it’s been worsening, and graduated college in April 2022 (went to cc first then went to get my bachelors all online). I’m a graphic designer but recently had to quit my jobs and basically am doing a whole lot of nothing because I can barely use my computer now. I am looking forward to thriving in my 30’s assuming I continue getting answers to what’s wrong with me haha I’m continuing to better my design skills (in my slow state) and am planning on being a badass ux designer and can afford to travel more than once a year🤪

I did a whole lot of nothing in my 20s too. And I started a whole new career I’m still working on starting in my 30s. Had kids in my 30s. And got a degree and bought a house with my wonderful husband in my 30s
This spoke to me too, you’re not alone :) I’m 31 now and still on my journey with chronic pain but I have so much hope for my thirties even though they haven’t started like I thought they would have when I was in my 20s. Sending good vibes your way! We have our whole lives ahead of us ❤

Exactly. He got off on those photos so he assumed everyone else (particularly other men) would view them that way. He didn't want anyone else to get off on these photos so he didn't want any photos he deemed 'sexy' of her available to others. He wanted control over he so only he could view her sexually.

I know this is a little heavy for a RUclips comment section but I’ve been working night shift and struggling immensely with my mental health. i’d love to hear it. i mean, i have a good while until im 30 (im 20) but living with an autoimmune disease, it sucks so it would definitely bring some positivity to me

Right out the gate I have to tell everyone that when I turned 40 life started to get better. I’ll be 50 in a couple years and life has never been better. I finally can see bs from a mile away, I have confidence and self love, I’m conscious of others and who I can and can’t trust. I somehow helped raise 4 children that are thriving in early adulthood. Life starts at 40 and gets better and better!
I'm a GenX and the crushing guilt that I use to feel is so much better. My eating issues- better. Orgasms- SO MUCH BETTER! Accepting bullshit... well I barly took any of that nonsense but now I have ZERO qualms about walking away from a bad relationship and say NO. Of course Britney is unwell, she probably always will be. She was drugged and controlled for YEARS. People need to get off her back, it honestly annoys me. Everyone fought to get her out of the conservatorship, but now everyone just makes fun of her and watches her like a side show. She is free, and people should treat her with grace and cut her some slack, she needs it. I know I would go absolutely bonkers if I were her, so I'd say she's doing pretty good all things considered!

You can only set boundaries for yourself and not set them for others. It's a tough lesson I've learned through being in recovery. Control is when you are setting them for others and their behavior. We have zero control of others.
Jonah Hill sounds a lot like my ex. This is coercive control at it's finest. Constantly wanting to bring up what they do for you and how you ruined everything because of what an awful person you are (diminishing any self-worth you have). Saying they are over the conversation yet continuously harassing you about it for what seems like a damn near eternity. I hope every woman understands that behavior like that is not normal, nor should be tolerated.
Anyone currently dealing with this just know you are worthy of SO MUCH MORE than a partner like this.

Yes! I was in the same situation almost ten years ago. My ex-husband always told me no one else would want me or put up with me. Needless to say I left and I’ve been happily married for going on 6 years.
I'm a true Swiftie and personally I don't care if people give Taylor a chance, I think the fan base is more defensive because of the way the media has dragged her name through the mud throughout the years. People are just sick of Taylor being discredited and written off as some drama queen when in reality she has been through some shit with the Kanye situation and the Scooter situation and is one of the best songwriters and performers of all time. A lot of the narrative about Taylor always having all of these boyfriends is super misogynistic and basically slut shaming her for writing music about her experiences, which I think people are just starting to wake up to it. I'm not bothered by people not liking her music, I'm bothered by people saying they hate her and she's super annoying as a person without having any case as to why. I think we can all agree she is an incredibly talented musician and excellent businesswoman which is why she’s had one of the most successful music careers of all time!
I agree with you. Been a fan of hers since 2006. I remember hiding my love for her and her music back when it was bad and embarrassing to like her. So happy she’s getting her recognition now but I hate when people claim they hate her just bc she’s famous and has “annoying” music, which sounds like that’s happening at the end of this podcast lol. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I sort of felt like those texts should’ve stayed between the 2 of them. It feels like it was an argument, and people don’t always use the best choice of words when they are upset (and insecure). I’m in no way defending him, because he obviously could’ve taken some time to settle down and use better words, but this interaction really felt like an argument between 2 people who broke up (referring to the newer texts) and still have complicated feelings.
I don’t think many of us would look great either if our insecure, emotional moments were posted to social media. Let’s all remember that there is more than one side to any story.

I agree. I don’t think these texts are anything outside of the norm of typical exes. I feel like people over share their personal business on social media and I miss the days when stuff was kept between people. I got off FB and insta 6 years ago and it’s been so nice.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a boundary for him or for her. He’s showing her exactly who he is and what he wants in the relationship. It is a live example of, “when someone tells you who they are, listen.” I hope she takes it seriously and runs.
If everything we are seeing is accurate and theres no other context, his insecurities run deep, and he has a need to control in order to feel comfortable in the relationship. He needs to get help with that, or he’s never gonna be truly happy with someone.

I was not surprised that Jonah brought up the financial support he gave Sara. During their relationship he was using control and manipulation to prevent her from taking jobs that would help her be financially independent. So he wasn’t just being emotionally abusive he was also being financially abusive.
I would love if Kendall made a video talking about her illness and struggles with that and what she did to overcome it 💜🐛

Anyways in we talks about boundaries a lot and the way my therapist explained it was :
you can create as rigid of a boundary as you’d like but you can’t FORCE people to respect your boundary. The only person you can control is yourself. It’s up to you to enforce your boundaries for your self. If someone refuses to respect your boundaries then YOU can either choose to not interact with that person anymore or you can adjust your boundary if you want to- that’s it.
It's not boundaries, it's insecurity.

The fact that you are all still younger than Colleen was while sending inappropriate photos (and everything else) to minors and her peers/friends is flabbergasting.
Jonah is disgusting. I haven’t liked him for a long time… I just get this feeling I cannot explain about some people. And that feeling is usually always proven to be right, even if it takes YEARS for that person to show their true colors to others.

I think "therapy speak" has reached an all time high. Gas lighting and Narcissist (in all it's forms) are the most popular words imho. And, Don't blame me, I have "insert mental health diagnosis". As reason's to not hold people accountable for things. And what sucks is- it all happens and people are those things and mental health diagnoses prevent many people from doing many things. I'm one of those people. I have my BA in Psyc/Soc but my mental health and physical issues prevent me from doing many things. I guess all just observances. I'm working on not holding onto an outcome of "right and wrong". ANd trying to believe in universal law and trusting that.

Jonah Hill is a perfect example of manipulation and control, not healthy boundaries.
Most of us grew up listening to Taylor Swift, she went from this sweet American girl to an evil vixen. She fell victim to 2000’s sexism- for dating men and writing songs, when other people do it all the time. I’m so happy for her, she’s changing the music industry and probably one of the most iconic women of this century so far. She’s also super popular, so I never know if someone is trying to be quirky, sexist, or genuinely not into the music lol.
As someone who doesn’t like her music, I have to agree on the sexism take. She can do whatever tf she wants dude.
I love all of you, but I miss the old sesh. Craft projects, parties, games, sharing personal stories, mixed drinks for everyone, food tasting....I miss it all. I feel like it is all celebrity drama now and it's not as fun. It's actually a downer for me personally. I know it's important to talk about these issues, but I liked it when they were sprinkled in once in awhile. Maybe I am the only one and I'm trying to hang in here!

Thanks you for speaking up for Alexa Nikolas, she is an incredible survivor. What Hill’s lawyer was referring to was Alexa being groomed by 33 yr old Mike Milosh of Rhye (a band) age 16. He married her in order to gain US residency when she was 19, him 36. There’s been several court cases. She spoke to the RUclipsr Sloan at length on several occasions even bravely disagreeing with him & his followers in support of Amber Heard. I feel compelled to sing Alexa’s praises, she really is inspiring and creative & a lovely person. Thanks for supporting other women. Unlike Collon Banister you are genuine!

Alexa has been though some traumatic relationships which isnt out of the ordinary at all, the only reason your attention’s drawn is bc she’s in the public eye and speaks up about her genuine experiences. I stand with Alexa and believe her 100% and to speculate she was the one at fault as an exploited child is not just victim blaming, diminishing the experiences of women and girls and trying to shame her bc she’s a survivor of grooming and SA is really unpleasant.

The Jonah Hill story felt so much like my last relationship, I don’t think those are boundaries, I think they’re projected insecurities. I’ve been a signed model since college, and when I met my ex, he was mystified by the job, bragged about it to everyone, and then as time went on, he was dictating which photos I could post on my instagram, trying to get onto shoots whenever he could, telling me what was and wasn’t appropriate to wear. Kendall is right, it’s “controlling and icky” language.

She actually may not be able to because statute of limitations, however, those are serious allegations and if you are going to accuse someone, you need to be ready to stand up and prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. If she's serious then be serious, simply putting someone on blast on the internet actually cheapens what could be a serious situation.

Is jonah hill a shit boyfriend?! Absolutely without a shadow of a doubt. However there's a couple of things that changes the way I view their situation. One major factor is that a few days after the initial text drop, we see Sarah & Jonah were in therapy together, and Sarah had requested this list. It's not like he came outta the blue w/ this horrible list of his insecurities & ridiculous "rules". For that reason I cannot say he is abusive... I think he's a terrible bf, but I don't think he's abusive in this case in particular.

this whole jonah thing has me in a pickle. yes, it isn’t okay to treat a partner in the way jonah did and he absolutely was emotionally abusive. but, i also think it is definitely not okay to post extremely intimate text messages of your ex partner. not just on a “normal” person level, but especially as a celebrity level. yes, jonah is an absolute asshole in all of his messages. but these seem to be somewhat calm conversations between two adults who’s relationship is clearly not working. there is no showing of physical violence or name calling. as someone who works in the legal field, i am seeing this as an ex girlfriend attempting to expose her ex, knowing the way the world/internet is today, and hoping people would see him for the asshole he is. NOT to “warn other women”. also agreeing with kendall that we have not seen anything from his side as well. idk, this just feels very icky and personal and that we shouldn’t be seeing something so intimate between two people.

Hi! In regards to the boundary talk, I used to lead a group for DV survivors and I had to teach a curriculum on DV and part of that curriculum was on boundaries and recognizing and setting healthy boundaries. Healthy boundaries protect your body, mental, and emotional health. Examples of healthy boundaries in each category is saying things like;
Physical- “I don’t like being touched (here). Please don’t do that.”
Mental/emotional- “I don’t like it when you speak to me in this way. Please be conscious of your tone/words/etc.”
It can also look like not attending family functions because of toxic family members being present. It is not telling someone they can’t do or wear certain things. That isn’t healthy. And abusers love to use “boundaries” as an excuse for control. Boundaries protect yourself, they don’t control others’ actions.
For anyone struggling with boundary setting I recommend the book Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend. They define boundaries as this: “A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not.”

I think us swifties are so adamant about people listening to her music because of what you just said --her "annoying, poppy" music. Most of what is on the radio (or was) and is considered her bigger hits were released with that in mind -- to be at the top of the popular music charts. I think as a fan of hers, some people feel the need to defend her as a musician, lyricist, artist and performer because her music as a whole isn't just "break-up songs". She writes about mental health struggles, self-reflection, her family, her friends, death-- her songs are so poetic and lyrically beautiful. I think it's a need to share her work that isn't as widely consumed because for most of us we grew up with her and she's been there-- as well as her music-- through every season for 17 years. The connection to her fans is deeper than most artists and what's cool about her music is I can tell you what stage of life I was in when each of her albums were released. I think for a lot of Swifties it's more than her music, it's a feeling of community and we just want everyone to experience it. I totally get that not everyone will like her music, but if you just read the lyrics you can't deny she is an incredible songwriter ad storyteller. She also is a --pun intended-- Mastermind when it comes to marketing and business.

"Boundaries" have become the new "I don't have a filter, I call it like I see it." The issue with his "boundary" is that surfing is HER JOB. Is she supposed to surf in a sweater and pants? Not celebrate something she is good at? He is asking her to fully change part of her life to suit him rather than working/talking through it. This is also who she was as a person before they got together and he 100% knew that.

It’s going to be hard to find many celebrities or men in general who haven’t done harmful things. Society’s sensibilities and understanding of consent, manipulation, agency, sexism and all kinds of things have evolved rapidly over a very short time. Most of us have parents who think stalking a girl is romantic. How many movies have guys showing up unannounced at peoples work, home or social place. How many movies romanticise love triangles and control and jealousy? How many parents still tell their kids that boys just tease girls or push girls because they like them? Most men simply don’t know how to engage in an equal relationship. This is why we teach respectful and consenting relationships in school now here in Australia. It’s part of our health class curriculum.
The one thing I want to bring up regarding the Jonah Hill situation is the fact that he says she has broken their trust before. We don’t know their relationship, we don’t know what the breach of trust was. Maybe she had been engaging in inappropriate DMs on Instagram and they had worked with a therapist to determine how to save the relationship going forward. Maybe there is something more that we don’t know. I do agree that Jonah comes off as insecure and the fact that he appears to be upset about his surfer girlfriend posting pics of herself surfing in a ONE PIECE is ridiculous, but that’s just based on what we currently know. Maybe he had been betrayed by her before and is insecure because of that. We just don’t know for sure, but that was my immediate reaction upon reading those texts. There might be something more that isn’t mentioned here and that she may be leaving parts of their conversation out.
Also, the fact that she felt the need to leak these texts right after he just had a baby with another woman, over 2 years after they had broken up, is weird to me. That shows HER insecurity, IMO.

I have a story of a bad angry moment of mine….I’m driving down the road and I see a guy beating his dog…when I see animals being mistreated I literally loose all capacity to think clearly….I pulled into the parking lot of the grocery store where he was with his dog. I pulled up to him and took my tire iron that was in my back seat floor board and faced him and simply said “I’m taking your dog, make one move and I will smash your face in” I called the dog to me, he got in my back seat and I drove off but it took everything I had not to hit him with my tire iron. When it comes to animal mistreatment all I can hear is this ringing in my ears and my face feeling really hot and sometimes I don’t remember exactly what I said or did……

There is a BIG difference between setting HEALTHY boundaries and just being controlling. Obviously we don’t know ALL the context behind this and there were most likely other issues in this relationship but the messages kind of come off as controlling IMO.

I got married in my 30s. I had a baby in my 30s. But I started dealing with a ton of medical issues. I got shingles in my optic nerve, kidney stones (had them since I was 14), lipomas that grow back, spine damage, knee problems- it’s super frustrating! I’m almost 45 now and still dealing with it! 😢
