I saw a documentary where a very small percentage of people who get the surgery have lifelong chronic pain after. Burning eye pain. I can’t imagine. I’m never getting it either.
It's definitely good to know what you're getting into, but it can also be life-changing! I researched all of that too before mine, but you have to look at the risk vs reward for yourself. I also researched the specific Dr that was going to do mine, and he had done tens of thousands. The clinic I went to also went over all those risks with me and answered any questions I had. I couldn't function, I mean literally do anything, without my contacts or glasses. I also have a nickel allergy that caused issues for me.. I have scars on my nose from glasses with nickel. I was extra worried about the risk of dry eye because I had dry eye. Reality was,dry eye was probably caused by over-use of my contacts. I actually have more watery eyes now. Waking up and just being able to see is under-rated.

The thing for me here though is that I strongly feel this isn’t something that someone can be neutral on. My eye doc pointed something out to me one time with regards to laser eye surgery. How many eye docs do you see with glasses? Alot. Wonder why? The docs know something. After that, I quit considering it.

On the Middle East crisis, seeing this happen reminds me and should remind us all of how incredibly blessed we are to live in America or the first world in general. All the men and women who have laid down their lives to keep us safe can never be truly praised enough. No America isn’t perfect as Janelle stated but I’m proud to call this my country and sleep at night without the fear of being raped, beheaded or having my baby murdered. God bless all the innocent civilians caught in this awful war. How lucky that I get to be watching one of my fav podcasts relaxing in my home while so many live on constant fear. This is the ultimate reality check.

Fun fact about me: I went to a haunted corn maze 8 years ago. In the maze, one of the actors came out with his chainsaw and it scared me sooooo bad I jumped and punched myself in the face and gave myself a bloody nose 😂
I went to one with my work team when I was pregnant. Chainsaw dude jumped in after we were “done” and in the hayride back! I peed myself. I would prefer punching myself lol 😂
Animals lives matter! I really wish more people would talk about all of the animals that are in that war zone right now. That is where my mind goes to the most. Animals are the most innocent creatures on this earth. They have no idea what’s going on, they are suffering as well. We need to donate to organizations that are helping the animals being impacted by this horrific unnecessary bullshit that human beings started. Please pray for the animals as well if prayer is something you do and donate if you can to legit organizations that are helping the animals over there. Animals matter just as much as humans. 🐾

In my country There is a group of people who risking their safety to go back to the war zone and take all the farm animals and pets back to their families, some of them lost their life too but some of them meet their loved ones and bring them some light after this disaster 🙏🏻 hope to see better days
I live in Israel and I manage a small hobby farm. My phone is blowing up with the efforts of animal lovers all over the country. The animals from kibbutz Be'eri, which was massacred, have been evacuated and are now safe in a kibbutz in the north. Sadly, these were only small animals... Dogs and cats were shot by the Hamas. Cows and horses were captured and taken to Gaza. But the efforts to bring all animals affected to safety go on. I have seen pictures of soldiers feeding the animals in the petting zoo in the kibbutzim where no people are left. We are all in terrible pain. The thought of the people and children that were viciously massacred and kidnapped is unbearable. But the thought of horses and dogs being shot and violently captured is also horrific. All of this has been an absolute living nightmare 😢

I really like how laid back this cast was about real-life relationships after the show. People were so realistic if some people dated or hooked up with another's match if they didn't get married. People are just people dating and aren't sour about it. Every other reunion has been so dramatic
It was very refreshing to hear your Middle East update. Most ignore it. I am living in Israel, in the middle of the bombing and although it is hard, we are United people and we will right to get our hostages back. There has been a lot of misinformation in the news and it breaks my heart. I pray for innocent Palestinians everyday along with my daily prayer. Despite what many Arab nations are saying, I think it is important to know that Palestinians are our neighbours whom we give aid to and we want them to live in a peaceful area, without hamas. The Israel and Hamas conflict is heart breaking We all have to pray for them , I could never imagine being in that situation. No parent deserves for their chickens to be killed . No child deserves seeing their parents being murdered . No woman deserves to be taken captive and raped and tortured. It’s horrific and we have to pray for them !!!! Kendall, get the lasik! I got it 9 years ago when I was 20 and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. It only takes about 15 minutes and it’s not pleasant but all and all not horrible. It was SO WORTH IT
So I worked for one of the places Love is Blind filmed this season and I can confirm, Renne did make it down the aisle. And I do know some of the reason why they did not show her. And Tran was a part of the show, she made it almost to the dress shopping.
I dated a guy who ended up on The Bachelorette and later went on to Bachelor in Paradise. He ended up getting married through the franchise! Long story short, he was so much more handsome in person, and so interesting. He told me that he was about to start filming for a very popular tv show, but couldn’t tell me what it was, and that during that time we wouldn’t be able to remain in contact. Fast forward a few months and I saw him pop up on The Bachelorette line-up.

Janelle - I had the exact same experience with ocular migraines. It is so scary! When I had my first one I had a panic attack and started losing feeling in my hands and feet which freaked me out even more. For me, I don’t ever really have a signal they are coming on until I see the first blur dot. It sucks but it’s nice hearing someone else has had the same experience.
Your guys' response to what is happening in this new war is exactly how I feel. My husband has asked me to stop watching the news because I've been bursting out in tears every time I watch these days. I feel so privileged to live where I do. Praying for all the civilians over there. 🙏

Speaking of migraines! I get maybe 1-2 a year, but when I do, I always get an aura in my left eye and that's my surefire way of knowing a migraine is imminent. My girlfriend is always concerned when I randomly say "oh I can't see out of half my left eye right now"
I get ocular migraines. The blur starts in the middle of my eye and expands until I can't see out of my eye at all. It sucks but gives me time to get somewhere before the headache starts. Not fun at all. Can be super scary the first time. Unfortunately I have had it 20+ years

So this will be the 5 year anniversary so happy for them

Sufferer of ocular migraines here 😢 have had them since I was a teen. They are so tough and ridiculously debilitating.. I HATE THEM!! They've isolated me and i always feel alone cause no one near me or immediate to me; have no freaking idea what it is or what it feels like 😥 Now I can see them coming on and I try to catch it before it gets too bad.
The conflict in the Middle East currently is so saddening. There is no “good guy” when it comes to war and I feel for the civilians of Israel and Palestine ❤

I’ve had an ocular migraine before. Started during a kickboxing class. I was really scared because I didn’t know what it was. The headache afterwards was pretty bad. Felt like someone squeezing the top of my head. So much pressure.
Janelle, that's the telltale of a migraine onset! I've had them chronically since 13, and the first time I got one, I was so confused about what was happening. The way you described it was perfect because that's exactly what I experience. I have hemiplegic migraines which have the aura + symptoms that mimic a stroke - it's sf scary.
Janelle, I also have those blurries in my vision. It always happens when I least expect it and it scares the hell out of me. I immediately think I’m going blind. Mine don’t flash but my vision gradually just blurs and blurs. It’s so scary.

Yes! I used to get them really bad in middle school. Trying to get through classes with it was horrible. I haven’t had one in years

I really like how laid back this cast was about real-life relationships after the show. People were so realistic if some people dated or hooked up with another's match if they didn't get married. People are just people dating and aren't sour about it. Every other reunion has been so dramatic

It was very refreshing to hear your Middle East update. Most ignore it. I am living in Israel, in the middle of the bombing and although it is hard, we are United people and we will right to get our hostages back. There has been a lot of misinformation in the news and it breaks my heart. I pray for innocent Palestinians everyday along with my daily prayer. Despite what many Arab nations are saying, I think it is important to know that Palestinians are our neighbours whom we give aid to and we want them to live in a peaceful area, without hamas.

I have ocular migraines and the experience I always have is exactly what you described Janelle! They are so scary but at least usually mine go away within 30 minutes- an hour!

Janelle, I’ve had ocular migraines a couple of times before and it’s super scary!! Mine mainly happen at work when I’m stressed and I have to sit down for a few minutes, drink water and calm down! My head hurt after words too and it’s horrible! I’m glad your doing okay♥️♥️

We all have to pray for them , I could never imagine being in that situation. No parent deserves for their chickens to be killed . No child deserves seeing their parents being murdered . No woman deserves to be taken captive and raped and tortured. It’s horrific and we have to pray for them !!!! And the families of them and the Americans stuck there, everyone in harms way , we have to pray for them
Kendall, get the lasik! I got it 9 years ago when I was 20 and it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. It only takes about 15 minutes and it’s not pleasant but all and all not horrible. It was SO WORTH IT
So I worked for one of the places Love is Blind filmed this season and I can confirm, Renne did make it down the aisle. And I do know some of the reason why they did not show her. And Tran was a part of the show, she made it almost to the dress shopping.

Janelle - I had the exact same experience with ocular migraines. It is so scary! When I had my first one I had a panic attack and started losing feeling in my hands and feet which freaked me out even more. For me, I don’t ever really have a signal they are coming on until I see the first blur dot. It sucks but it’s nice hearing someone else has had the same experience.

Speaking of migraines! I get maybe 1-2 a year, but when I do, I always get an aura in my left eye and that's my surefire way of knowing a migraine is imminent. My girlfriend is always concerned when I randomly say "oh I can't see out of half my left eye right now"

I get ocular migraines. The blur starts in the middle of my eye and expands until I can't see out of my eye at all. It sucks but gives me time to get somewhere before the headache starts. Not fun at all. Can be super scary the first time. Unfortunately I have had it 20+ years

I was so happy when the new season of love was blind started but you’re right it was very disappointing this season I can’t wait for the circle ⭕️ to be back on but out of all the love is blind shows Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton who got married in season one of Love Is Blind, are still together and celebrated their four year anniversary last November. So this will be the 5 year anniversary so happy for them

Sufferer of ocular migraines here 😢 have had them since I was a teen. They are so tough and ridiculously debilitating.. I HATE THEM!! They've isolated me and i always feel alone cause no one near me or immediate to me; have no freaking idea what it is or what it feels like 😥 Now I can see them coming on and I try to catch it before it gets too bad.
The conflict in the Middle East currently is so saddening. There is no “good guy” when it comes to war and I feel for the civilians of Israel and Palestine ❤

I’ve had an ocular migraine before. Started during a kickboxing class. I was really scared because I didn’t know what it was. The headache afterwards was pretty bad. Felt like someone squeezing the top of my head. So much pressure.
Janelle, that's the telltale of a migraine onset! I've had them chronically since 13, and the first time I got one, I was so confused about what was happening. The way you described it was perfect because that's exactly what I experience. I have hemiplegic migraines which have the aura + symptoms that mimic a stroke - it's sf scary.

Janelle, I also have those blurries in my vision. It always happens when I least expect it and it scares the hell out of me. I immediately think I’m going blind. Mine don’t flash but my vision gradually just blurs and blurs. It’s so scary.
I get ocular migraines too. I usually try to take some medication and a nap as soon as it starts to avoid the headache and nausea.
