Nice job! Note at 4:45 if you want to straighten a warped length of steel, heat a pie shaped wedge on the side that needs to be shorter to a red hot and let cool. Do as meany times and locations as needed because this will tend to straighten it.

I have been thinking of building something like this for my Oliver OC46. I may not have enough grouser to do a great job at root raking, but I think it would be handy for clearing some of the invasive honeysuckle bush from the hunting pasture.
I thought about finding an old scrap chisel plow, and use the shanks and some of the frame from it.

I am kind of in the same boat with my D2. Not gonna push out any big roots but it should work good for the smaller brush and blow down clean up type work. Share some pictures of your project when you get to it.

Looks pretty good. I suppose you tested the swing and it clears the tractor grill.
I believe I would have welded in a cross-member on the expanded metal.
As far as the quality of the paint job looks great where I am.
I suppose time will tell if that square tubing is heavy enough. The force on it will be outward.

Yes, the swing should clear the front of the tractor. That's a good point about a crossmember behind the expanded metal. If I end up bending it I will definitely put one in. Thanks

@@hunterscreekfarm95665 I forgot to mention that's an excellent idea on sleeving that hollow tubing for your mount and swing joint.
I do the same thing when I'm pinning something through hollow tubing. However, so many times I see a joint like that without it being sleeved.
