The Special Duties Unit under the Hong Kong Police Force, which is also known as the “Flying Tigers” from its emblem, shares its training process with the Post as it marks its 50th anniversary in 2024. Recruits to the secretive elite squadron have to go through a gruelling “hell week” where they complete strenuous physical tasks while carrying their own supplies for the full seven days. Team members also have to undergo an annual fitness test, as shown in the assault course featured in this video, to maintain fitness for ad hoc high-risk special missions.
