Nice, I have a 4 door with a gte sub, fully kitted out the cylinder head so far, 272 BC cams ss valves and retainers, arp bolts all around, used the GE pistons with gte rods and pushing 550 on the wheels, next step will be forged rods and pistons then 4 bolt main caps. Should be golden. Also still running 95 pump on 14 to 15 psi of boost, looking to double that as soon as the rods etc are done and I can get my hands on some e85 to retune. Hoping for around 800whp after I am done. But anyways nice build can see you built her right from the start.
@@MrNella853 you have a nice setup. What you want to do is what I have now except for the 272 cams. Can't get e85 here though so I'm running 92 pump. In the Supra I add octane booster which should take me to 97. 800hp is my goal on the Supra but for this BMW 2JZ 533 is plenty .
I also want to do the same. Knowing that bmw engine has plenty issues with engine oil leaks and coolant system, i dont wanna worry a lot and be scared to drift, burnout or race with that. I better get a japanese reliability with 2jz and live a life and enjoy my bmw e46 inshaAllah!

Yes I did. I had problem on another engine that crank wouldn't turn after ARP was installed so I decided to line hone before even trying to see if it would turn fine.
I didn't modify anything yet. It was rough to shove it in but what I'll do next time I take the engine out of the car is to use one of those hydraulic jacks to enlarge the firewall. I won't cut anything. I haven't done yet.
Sick budget 2JZ setup, would love to see some pulls in this car! Man if only I could run a speedefi with a automatic, I’m currently looking for a budget solution tunable ecu for my na-t gs300
I'm pretty sure you still can. If you run the stock ecu aswell as the speeduino ecu you can keep the auto. Speeduino controls fuel and spark, Stock ecu controls everything else including the auto trans.
I've got a huge list. Check the description of the video. I added everything there. The injector I have are DW 1100cc though that's the only difference but I linked to a similar one. The adaptors from 2jz to ZF transmission I've got from DriftHQ. They know all about that stuff. I hope that helps brother!
Great video , do you think that buy separate turbo parts is cheaper or is better to buy the turbo kit I planing to purchase the driftmotion turbo kit but is $ 2k dollar maybe I can save some money if I buy everything separate what do you think
It might be worth it. This is how much stuff might cost. Exhaust manifold with vband Watergate port- $250 Turbo smart waste gate - $450 Down pipe kit - $300 Turbo - $800 (can find unbranded for $200 on eBay) Fasteners and lines for turbo - $300+ It's worth I think but you can cheap out on turbo (needs modifications on cold side), wastegate (eBay) - $700 bucks cheaper just there. I like DM products and kits though. They have good stuff but I built my own kit from eBay stuff
You didn't mention about oil pan swap - first there was a front sump, but that one does not fit E36/E46 chassis, then when test fit the engine it got rear sump. Just want to make things clear for somebody who is just starting with this. About driveshaft - you can mix and match front parts of the driveshaft to sute the length. Anyway - good job man!
That's true it needs to be rear sump. The front sump hits the power steering rack. The OEM driveshaft is too long and two pieces. You can definitely cut and weld to make it work. I didn't want to risk 🙂. I'll probably make a detailed video about the details for the conversion
Wanna run a 2JZ swap into my daily however keeping it automatic, any idea on what type of auto transmission can hold around 450 to 500hp ??? Great video by the way I was super nervous about doing the build myself but you made it easier for me to understand
Thanks man. This is so fun. I hope you make it. If they make zf automatic I think it will hold well. I'm not too sure though. Watch the videos of me drifting it. This is the fastest car I own so far. Putting another built 2jz vvti turbo on my supra now.

Unfortunately not. Only the rear sump because of the power steering
