First off, thanks EBR for getting this review out, well done. Finally a company that gives the customer OPTIONS on how they want the bike setup and im not talking about just the battery size. When the video started out i thought it was going to be another RadRover knockoff, I was pleasantly surprised by the end. And wth is with all the hate towards the Owner of Biktrix on here?
This is a very well constructed, powerful, well designed bike. I can go from pave to side road gravel almost seamlessly, can ride on my local trail system comfortably - through mud, dips, over debris, water puddles, etc-, and travel to work 10Kms each way almost effortlessly at 20 K an hour with battery power to spare.
This e-bike is definitely a cut above the $1.5 to $1.9 pack. The only shortcoming for me is a lack of rear light powered off the main battery. In this price league, a crappy seatpost mount is truly undesirable. Great premium e-bike and great brief overview.
Great review. The only down side to this bike is the weight. At first blush the 70 pound weight seems to be on the heavy side, but I guess a decision can't be made until one takes this bike for a ride, especially on easy trails.
My continued experience with the Bafang BBSHD throttle is it anything but 'variable' as you said. It is either on or off. I've built a dozen over the past 2-3yrs. for friends & customers.
Roshan communicated directly with me prior to the purchase and answered all my questions. Found the bike exactly as described. Awesome bike, very well constructed, looks and rides great. Response and support after the purchase has been excellent! This bike is a beast, much like my Harley!
429 miles - mine is down because the hub stripped out. beware - common problem. CEO says "only 1-2%" - Um, that's 1 out of 100 or 1 out of 50 bikes. duh
My question is this: as you have reviewed both this and the Voltbike Yukon 750, is the mid drive performance worth the extra 1000 dollars Biktrix is charging for it? www.voltbike.com/voltbike-yukon-750-limited-2018.html
The Yukon is now $C2,050 as it changed the battery and fenders now standard; Biktrix now has a hub drive (like the Yukon) for C$2,469 (the difference is about US$300). The better question is why the Yukon vs Rad, as they are the same motor and twist throttle? The Biktrix hub bikes have a 750w (vs 500) motor and a torque sensor, so should be smoother. Plus you can add dual battery. Plus the cable integration into the frame is better, I chose the Biktrix hub over Volt as the better motor and better sensor is worth the few hundred $. For a good comparison of features vs pricing go to Biktrix webpage; they offer many different configurations. A mid drive with a torque sensor is expensive, no way around that. The Biktrix HD Ultra with a torque sensor and 1,000 w mid drive is C$3,000 (about US$800 more that the Volt/Rad). That bike is totally different. Do some research and you’ll see. If you are doing serious climbing none of the hub drives will cut it.
Biktrix Senior citizen buys this electric bike so he can get assistance in the hills in his area. Interactive display plastic(?) bracket cracks then breaks. 8 Months after purchase. Bike needs display to run electric portion. Customer contacts Biktrix as under warranty (1 year). Biktrix will not honor warranty and wants additional inflated $. Bike inoperable without display. AVOID Biktrix, cheap parts and no honor.
@@Biktrix Thanks for posting the link to the Courier. Looks awesome, just not for me. I need a 7,8 or 9 speed for my Ebike and i don't really need the hidden battery feature. You nailed it with the Blazing Red color though!
No. You would buy an unreliable, ancient, repair cost siphonong piece of shit automobile for that money firstly and come out looking like a bum secondly. Had you actually had the money... and bought this bike, youd have had something exclusive, top grade and the recreational fun that comes with it! Thirdly!
The guy did say it was an overview - not a full review -firstly. Got a hearing problem? There was a lot of interesting stuff regarding build and optioning - secondly. Hows that boring?
Al, what is low quality about this bike? The 9sp Deore? Or top of the line Panasonic/Samsung 48V 12-21ah battery? Or the 6061 Aluminum frame? or just your research (lack there of)?

Depends on how you program it.
The website says it has 1 kw
Nice 👍 fork travel could be a bit longer but for street/mild trails should be ok, priced a bit beyond my current means but overall I'd say it's cool
We have a more affordable version here: www.biktrix.com/products/biktrix-juggernaut-classic-original
Only "mild" trails?

I could buy a decent fuel efficient all-weather automobile for what this bike costs.
