IMHO, the Juiced Ripcurrents and Crosscurrents are for people who tend to be DIYers. To me, my Ripcurrent is an open pallet, allowing me to change and/or upgrade it to make it very much mine. You can really be a part of this bike. Sure, you may be able to find someone to pay to service it for you, but that can be a pain and get quite costly. If you want a bike to use as an appliance, get a Rad Rover. They need little service and give you a nice ride for the money. If you want a friggen killer bike that will blow you (and everyone else) away, get a Juiced'.
Do you plan to post a road test as well? The specs and features can be found on a bunch of websites but there are only two videos I’ve been able to find on RUclips. One of them from the other primary ebike review people suggested it was a bit sluggish on takeoff, but the second video makes it appear super quick. Another unbiased report proving or disproving the sluggishness when starting would be really helpful. I have a hard time believing it’s anything other than jackrabbit quick as it’s the same basic drivetrain s the CrossCurrent S but with an even bigger motor. Nevertheless, rumors like that are easily proven or disproven by intentionally testing a filming it. A lot of us would appreciate that. Great review though. I realize I’ve only bitched about it, but it is very helpful. I ordered one of these a couple of weeks ago after watching the other thorough review. Reviews like these are really the only way we can hope to make informed decisions. Thanks!
It looks like a decent headlight, and a lot brighter than most factory lights... but why mount it on the fork where it's going to bounce with the movement of the shock?
Why spend an entire video covering features we can easily read about? Yes, you are very thorough, but the strength of video is to show things in action; to see things that aren't in the instructions and specs...like a test ride. You can also gather your own data from your own tests, which will either agree or be at odds with what the maker publishes/claims.
Those are great features I'd want on any ebike! Walk mode, suspension lockout, the display features, etc. This looks like a very good electric fat bike.
I'm curious about the torque sensor. In "normal" riding, how does it affect the feel of the bike? Do you feel like you have to pedal harder or easier? How does it integrate with changing gears?
Have had my 22 model step thru for about three weeks now, and just this morning passed 100 miles. It has taken a little getting used to because I have not ridden a bicycle for almost sixty years now. After some minor adjusting and tweaking, I can tell that this bike is probably going to last me for a long time. For me this was money well spent.
Return it before you cant. This bike wont last 300 miles before controller brakes battery and customer service "Christopher" tells you to get it to a scrap yard or find a bike company that you can afford to rebuild the whole Juice Junk Crud. DEATHTRAPS at JUICE JUNK
@@economystucco2268 I'm now a little over 600 miles with no problems. Bike just got broken in about 50 miles ago and overall is much smoother now. Adjusted derailleur cable a couple times for cable and chain stretch, that's been all.
Another comment was made about the replacement price of this 52V battery (19.2 Ah). $1299. That is a deal breaker for me. Unless someone can tell me there is another option/s. ? 🤣
As the other commenter said, when mine needs replaced I will bet it repacked with new batteries. The cost is so high because it is 52V 19.5Ah which currently aren't as common but with everything, prices drop. Right now the 48V low Ah batteries are what is now cheap. There are places that will repack them. I figure by the time I need a new battery it will be cheaper to repack or I will have a new eBike with much better bike technology. We recently got 2 RipCurrent S ebikes and love them. We have regular mtn bikes & motorcycles and still have lots of fun on the eBike.
It looks like the base model RipCurrent with 13 ah battery now starts at $1,999, not $1,699. If you get the Model S it comes with a 19.2 ah battery and costs $700 more. The S model comes with a rack; the basic model doesn't. You get about 30 more miles of range with the S model and its suspension has a lockout (the base model doesn't have that). Other than that, I think they're identical.
I've been looking for a few weeks myself, dunno what your price range is but I've seen some by Bolton ebikes I think that might be double not 100% but there's one by ecells called the monarch which is double battery double motor double suspension looks cool but it's not done on the cheap I don't think, though really not expensive for what you get.
Half to a third of the price for a Trek or Specialized. This is CHEAP for a bike like this, but $2500 is a lot for anything. It's a really good value. Ecomotion Core Pro E-Fat is a very cool similar bike for a few hundred less but a really good bike also.
Looks like a nice bike. It's not cheap for a 750 watt this bicycle need a lot of cosmetic job for example all the wires on the front of the bike with all those connectors hanging out every single wire in different direction that's not acceptable looks like a homemade bike, gel seat and gel handles gel is very soft and after a while it starts moving collecting all the dust and dirt and sticking to your hands it's a horrible feeling other than that I liked it
Les Hsu The only thing that I don’t like on the Surface604 is that they said Bafang wouldn’t setup the controller to have full throttle in mode 1 and up. You can only get full throttle if you put the bike in pedal assist 5. I don’t like the way the Roar looks, I wish they offered a couple different colors and I would like to see a financing option.
Juiced Bikes Hello is this Bike available now ? I’m not sure looking at your site what’s going on with it ?? And there’s four of us that do crypto research and want to use them in the forest But just two of us are ready you still offer $200 off for two bikes ? One I think would be for a female is that same discount if it’s just two purchased at same time ? Thanks ! Eric
Nice 👍 review. I hope it’s not another 5 months or more to get one of these bikes! Juiced needs to keep up with customer demands on this bike and all other bikes they sell.
Are the batteries OPEN TECH.?? IE repackable rather then needing to replace with a Juiced specific battery?. If so you can replace the battery for %25 or less of the cost just replacing the cells like most batteries.
That is another issue that makes it a no sale for me. You will have to buy another battery after two or three years. It is inevitable. For that price, you may consider buying the latest bike on the market instead of a new battery. Although, no one will buy a used bike if they have to put $1200 into it.
Go into program mode and set the top speed to 40 kph. I'm 190 lbs and on throttle only, my rad rover takes me to 24 mph on flat terrain with 20 PSI in the tires. I can hit 28 mph on peddle assist but I run out of gearing. I wish my Rad had a 9 speed cassette.
I dunno. Try it. With the display on, hold the up arrow and down arrow simultaneously. Scroll thru the menu options until you see the speed display. It may read 30 kph. Simply use the up arrow button to advance it to 40 kph.

Not with the Rad. Only the very rare 2WD Fat E-bikes make a serious difference in the snow. Similar with mud, sand, ICE, etc. I can't wait for when 2WD(AWD) fat bikes are more the norm. You can also put studs in certain fat tires. That can help, mostly in drive wheels. 500W in the rear, 250 in front seems the logical choice if staying legal, but all I see out there is 350 rear and 250 front. Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
