  • The 2019 VoltBike Yukon 750 is a lower priced fat-tire ebike at that comes in 2 colors (matte black or matte white) and 2 frame sizes; a smaller 17” frame as well as a 20” frame, optional fenders, racks, and waterproof panniers. 750 watt Bafang fat-tire specific hub-drive, 48v 16ah high capacity battery, with throttle and 9 modes of cadence based pedal assist. Great stopping power with the Tektro 180mm hydraulic disc brakes and motor inhibitors, the only way to go for a high powered setup like this. Features a high powered setup, but the drivetrain is a little weak with just a 14-28 tooth cassette, the controller is slightly exposed, and the rear light feels more like a reflector.

    Just got the Yukon V2 and put 100 miles in it in the first 5 days. Used on street, gravel, dirt/trail, and a couple inches of crusty snow. It stops at nothing and its super fun. I love it (first E-bike)

    I just ordered one. It's hard to find a 17" frame from other brands, Voltbike says they have a bunch of them. The 20" frame bikes are HUGE. Bike is spec'd out nicely.

    NRAW BlackBear owner here, a very similar looking fat ebike in sweden. Its not a throttle bike, its a pedal assist. But nonetheless, just wanted to say that fat ebikes are nice to ride. I suggest whatever you go for, go with something that makes you happy and healthy. Even an all out throttle ebike is better for overall health than no bike at all.

    I just ordered my 20" Yukon V2 (2022). I'm a little worried I ordered a bike too big for me (5'11"), but I'm used to riding a Harley Davidson, so big bikes are kind of my thing. :)

      @@Wilmafistfit69 I find the 20" is manageable for me. LOVE the bike. Have put about 1000kms on it since last year. (Which is great for around town riding. I don't do any long-distance hauling on it.)

      Hey lol no problem on the late replies... we have a life lol at times lol. Anyways I bought the Voltbike Enduro Mid Drive bike last fall and am happily riding it even though I think the frame is big it really isn't... fits perfect. I also bought on of those foldable ebikes from Amazon and it's also a blast to ride. Between the mid drive and rear hub I find for everyday regular riding the rear hub drives are way better for simplicity and durability to run. The mid drive is a bit more technical in that it needs to be in the right gear at the right time to get maximum performance so for the beginner or average person I've noticed they always take my rear hub bike.... me I love my mid drive though....

    I purchased the 2019 Yukon a month ago, my initial impressions. Overall love the bike, worth every penny. The negatives: heavy bike combined with lack of rear suspension, and terrible seat (thin hard with no shock absorption) = tailbone rattling ride over any surface even remotely rough. Even a $25 E-Bay aftermarket seat was a noticeable upgrade over the stock Yukon seat. Adding a suspension seat post is my next purchase. Also, if you are riding this bike on the streets, get a decent (loud) horn, the toy bell that comes with the Yukon is comical for all but politely warning pedestrians. Lastly, the inability to turn off the battery power with the key, while the battery is locked on the bike, is not ideal. The RadRover is the superior system here, turn the key one way to unlock the battery from the frame, turn it the other way to disable the power while the battery is locked onto the bike.

    • @CCRider100
      @CCRider100 4 года назад +2

      @@stevebator3138 - I was going back and forth choosing between the Rad Rover and Yukon 750, but ended up going with the Yukon. The deciding factor for me was the larger battery (16AH vs 14AH for the Rad Rover), and the Yukon 750 having hydraulic brakes. The Rad Rover does look like a good bike though.

      Got tiered of waiting for the Ripcurrent S by Juiced. Just bought the Yukon 750 Limited instead. CAN:T WAIT! ....EDIT.... Bought on the 27th of May. The site states 5-6 business days for shipping. I'm 70 miles from the drop point in WA. The thing still has not be shipped from Canada. Today is the 12th of June. I called last week and they stated it was being shipped from CA to Bellingham last Wed. Never happened. Then they told me it was 10 days for shipping. Well that was last Wed. Now they tell me shipping this Wed. and they will e-mail or call. Never happened. The real problem is I have a vacation planned and I need to be here to sign for the bike. Oh well hopefully it shows up next Sat. the 22nd. Buyer beware if you have to plan around the BS shipping. All they need to do is state on the site it's going to be 3-4 weeks to ship. P.S. The Ripcurrent is aval. NOW with 3 days from Cali. shipping..... EDIT AGAIN. 6-13-19 After 4 calls to Voltbike again today I finally got through. P.S. they play the fax noise game. They told me the bike did not ship AGAIN. Next week Wednesday is the new promise as usual. Great news is PayPay has my back and stated they will recover payment upon my phone call from today going through next Wednesday. Keep in mind Voltbike.com never offered a discount at this point even though they ran a sale after to my purchase. This just keeps getting better. The owner stated to me they have no US store. Only a drop ship point. Who knows what happens after that. Again folks, Buyer beware. I'll keep you all updated as I still feel they have a great product. I guess we may or may not see! Superbly equipped bike. I disagree with you about the light not pointing wherever you turn the handlebars being a downside as when I'm on a bike, the whole bike is usually pointing in the direction I want to travel and when I'm at standstill - light steady like on cars. Also...
    I'm not sure why you "cheat" by putting stones under the kickstand. I've seen you do tbis in several reviews. That creates a false impression. You may find it hard to believe, but I not only want to see the bike parked 'n tilting, but I'm also interested in how stable it'll be when parked.

      I think Yukon is better. 750 motor, 16Ah battery and the real killer is the hydraulic break. I own a 2017 which the rear rack has a design issue. After 2 years almost zero maintenance and 2000km on it the only issue is that the battery life is no longer the same and some screw are lose (my bad for not checking) and the rear rack broke (weak material). However other than that the bike is pretty good for the price. I just ordered a new one. I am very excited with the upgrade. Let's see - btw I am selling my old one ;)

      The major differences are hydraulic disc brakes, bigger battery 16Ah with Panasonic cells, fenders, rear rack, fast 5A charger, water bottle holder, adjustable stem, free motorcycle grade helmet. Also, the battery integration is modern and partially built inside the frame. This provides better weight distribution and better insulation in harsh weather. Ships from Bellingham WA is just a US entry point to the US and not a real store. They employ ZERO US citizens for assembly of these bikes as implied.

    Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!

      The front rack is mounted to the frame with 4 bolts. When you turn the handlebars, the front rack does not also turn as it fixed rigid to the frame of the bike.
