Hi, 8 star hunter here, let me just say this, every content creator talks about burst and all the other seemingly super good skills right now, and yeah they are not. the only thing that matters is element up at some point, if you can slot in burst its fine but just not worth to sacrifice element up for it. For bowguns its recoil down and element up. So yeah if you can manage to get element up 5 and burst great, but if not element up 5 is the better choice. i will give you an example, i build the jagras sns to grade 8 3/5, it has 873 raw dmg and 358 water dmg on top i got water element up 5 so + 500 water dmg, i can manage to beat anjanath 8 star with that but have no chance if its water element up 4, take that info however you like but trust me on this, if you want to get far you need element up and only element up, maybe rising tide if its managable in your build, but thats it. sry for any mistakes, english is not my first language, cheers.
Hey, 8 star hunter here. You're wrong. I solo 8* monsters easily with Raw from kulu longsword and I am currently using burst because it's broken. What are you talking about?
I have to disagree on Bowgun's loadout. Recoil Down is massive, and speeds up every shot that you take with the weapon, which is what lets you achieve Burst in the first place.
I'm using for LBG Kadachi helmet Paolumo Chest Legiana arms Barroth legs Coil depends, either rathian for burst or jagras for rising tide, or for elements where the coil has a bonus like legiana or kadachi those. Thats also what beta players recommend who are already on Rank 9-10 weapons/armor.
I went through the main story line the first time using sword and shield. The delay on a lot of the other weapons made it too difficult to reliably dodge. Most of the fights I would just sit at the side and learn which attacks could even hit me from the side and perfect dodge, or dodge in advance. I'd also use my specials at the breakpoints (around 50 and 25 seconds remaining) so I would avoid the roar stagger. I still struggle with Rathalos' range (sometimes one dodge backwards isn't enough), but I'm finally at the spot where I can play as long as I want rather than being limited by potions.
Have you played any MH games before Now? I agree, the phone adds a tiny bit of extra delay, but if you are used to the combat in the main games there should be next to no issue using the same weapons in Now as in any other game. I'm maining hammer, so I am used to being locked in on quite a lot of my attacks. The big thing with these games is that you are supposed to learn the monsters movesets first and foremost, and time your attacks based on predictions and openings you can find and get. All of the monsters so far come from Monster hunter World, and use a simpler moveset from their World counterparts. I really recommend to go play it if you are interested in Now, just because of how much of a great game it is. Other than that, I can only tell you to use weapons that you think are fun. Do not care about efficiency and progression, I'm at 8* and see that you will need to grind for both materials and money in one way or another. for quite a while, unless you are one of those trying to no-life if. And if you get stuck during the main grind using a weapon you don't even find fun, you are just going to get bored of the game. And don't worry about failing too much at the start, these games are very skill reliant after all, and require a long time to even get really good at.
Looks like I'll need to farm million more monster bone medium😅. Honestly been having a blast with the game, and my only complaint is the healing, paintballs, and lack of monster bone +, since theyre only found sometimes in daily quests and outcrops.
That same special attack with sword and shield after a block, can be used by swiping down when blocking them attacking. Well timed you can evade the monster attack, avoiding the chip damage, and then coming in and using the attack.
For Great Sword, you can always use the gyro to aim at certain parts instead of using Lock On. Aim at the area where you want to hit the charged attack. It takes some time to get used to it but it's pretty much worth it especially if you want to break different parts for more drops.
Yeah just use gyro. I was in total confusion when video mentioned lock on to be mandatory for melee. No it doesn't, its only mandatory for LS to do precision spirit helmbreaker on monster weakspot. GS gyro TCS is like the common sense among GS main now. Hammer gyro allow them to control the direction they run when in charging stance. SnS gyro allow them to control the direction of backhop, so that they can diagonal / 90⁰ backhop out of monster attack and unleash charge slash Lv2.
Watching Legiana in World actually stumble and vomit when poisoned was an excellent detail that highlighted a specialised weakness. What other cases of an ailment/elemental blight enforcing a specific reaction on a monster would you want to see in 6th Gen?
If it were something like Great Jagras, poisoning one of the aptanoth he's about to eat then watch him eat it, get poisoned then nauseously regurgitate it for his pack to eat, then watch all the Jagras die instantly.
1. Poison being jetted out of Valstrax's chest vents 2. Kirin literally teleporting with a flash of lightning (like Malzeno) 3. Gold/Rathian x Silver/Ratholos bond attacks And finally, someone make canon DEVILJHO EATING IT'S TAIL
I live in suburb California and it's slim pickings but I was recently in Tokyo and holy moly it's unfair how much monsters and mining nodes they get there. It's like 10x as much. The coolest part was joining random hunts in a dense area since so many people were playing. This video is great but assumes you get access to all these monsters frequently, otherwise it'll take a very long time to build. I've focused my build based on monster availability in my area. If I was in Tokyo, I'd be able to do any build I want.
This is the armor set that's been great for me currently entering 5* Armor: Barroth head (for the defense boost and offense guard) Great Jagras body (for the rising tide) Rathian arms (mainly for the burst, lock on is just a bonus for me) Paolumu waist (divine blessing obviously) Kulu-ya-ku legs (and critical eye) Weapons: Great Girros (for the paralysis) or legiana (for the second divine blessing) Sw&Sh I'm mostly focus on high damage output but I'm looking into black diablos resentment ability since I'm already experienced with it in MHR)
Truat me you want gear that gives you recoil down, at least level 2 of which same with reload speed. Having full recoil down 3 and reload 3 are just way more comfy but if you got to sacrifice some of the 3 levels for more element, only sacrifice the head, arms or legs. You can get rising tide on waist and pair with raithan arms for the increase damage. At bare minium you need 1 level of reload and recoil
At the end of the day u will prolly need many armour parts to swap around for clearing content in the game. I learned the hard way that there isn't a one size fits all kind of armour set (except maybe LBG where u most likely go 'Recoil Down 3' & 'Reload 3'). You will need to squeeze the damage out with armour parts that gives elemental dmg for 8* and beyond~
Recoil down and reload speed also play a big role in survivability. LBG has a nasty habit of being animation locked so cutting that time increases both survivability and dps. As a LBG main, my focus is rank 3 in both. I would like to mention you forgot one thing here; weapons have skills too. Tobi Kodachi's LBG for example gives evade extender. I know the key factor in this guide is elemental domination so that takes precedence over skills on weapons, but they should be noted at least. For farming, even a weapon that isn't elementally matching will still destroy things so going for a weapon skill could be viable.
I don't have black blos yet but how do you get reload and recoil both at 3? Kodachi helm legi arms and legs = reload 3 but lumu body and barroth legs = recoil 2
Rathalos helm, chest. Rathian gloves, waist. Kulu legs. 40 Raw, 15% burst, 40 % crit on weak point. Long sword is so satisfying when you nail the combo and it crits big. and of course Aesthetics.
Have you tested a guard 3 build? It trivializes most monsters including. I have fun evading but I’m a lance main so I’m building up a guard set ( and waiting patiently) and I just got 3 ranks of guard. Most attacks that are guarded only knock you back a small about meaning you get to go straight into the round slash then the shield bash combo. Lots of dps in a short amount of time and it’s very safe to play. Offensive guard is a different story though. I’m hoping when lance is released that the guard animation comes out just a bit faster so the timing isn’t so awkward for a perfect guard.
This is exactly what i rolled with. Girros/pukie sns. Head kulu, jagra chest, barroth belt and gloves, kulu pants. If i wana boost my stun when using girros sns i also use girros pants/legs. Overall this build has damage and allows you to tank most attacks and go straight into your bigger damage part of the sns combo
Will also throw out there for those struggling in the NG+ or have the unfortunate happening of being low HP during a park walk. Make a loadout with Diablos Helm Kulu Chest (swap for Rathalos when entering at min HP) Diablos Vambraces (Rathian for most if you need Lock On) BDiablos Coil (Anja if didn't get lucky) Jyura Greaves Heroics just like for mainline speedruns is incredibly effective if you can utilize it properly, and GS in particular can really abuse it by shoulder tackling while on the minimum health of entry. An incredible 40% raw boost permanently is extremely valuable albiet risky and is a go to build by people currently at endgame. Kulu chest guarentees you to safely go into Heroics when you start your day, and you then ride the line of waiting for 30% then taking your hunt and repeating.
In case anyone like other builds: Since i hate the look of the chicken drumsticks diabolo blades my raw dual blade build is: burst + critical eye (both level 5 with stones + kulu blades for +30% affinity and 1 level weakness exploit for a max of 90% affinity). Still working on it. I never have issues with the timer for now now (6 star). Lock is a must if you don't have partbreaker. I get from 1 to 3 breaks per monster.
i main bowgun, and i would say recoil down is actually needed since it's basically attack speed for bowgun. Recoil down also shorten the animation of the sticky ammo/ slash ammo so u can evade after shot quicker when u accidentally shot when monster attacking. My build have lvl 3 reload and recoil, which are kadachi helm, paolumu armour, legiana hands, barroth feet, and waist optional. Waist could be kadachi or legiana for thunder or ice attack, paolumu for divine blessing, diablo for partbreaker (i use this one). Armour could change into Jaggras early game for rising tide, but if u can get recoil 2 from paolumu then i would say paolumu is must. Overall, no hiccup in any monster fight so far, saved lots of potions since bowgun dont need to be in effective range to hit sticky/slash shot (main dps)
A lot of stuff here, i dnt care. I used giro sns and i beat the game. Now i got the diablos bow. Pure evil raw dmg killing everything with ease. Evade window +1 to do safe burst dmg (no loading) kadachi arms. Focus +3 for fast max dmg puki helmet, rathalos waist, juratodus pants, and crit chance from rathalos armor. Its freaking fast and i dnt care bout elemental dmg. I concentrate on just 1 armor set and on 1 weapon. I aint got any problems with zennys.
I am going to disagree with the bow loadout personally. Focus is such an important skill as 3* and each * up a rank of focus is required to get a max bow shot in between the monsters attack. (aka focus rank 1 for 3*, rank 2 for 4*, 3 for 5*, 4 for 1 purple *, rank 5 for 3 purple *) The attack speed of the monsters from what I have seen increase by 5% per star ranking. Im at 3 purple * myself and at rank 4 and its hard to get a hit in sometimes though I'm not at rank 6 in some of my gear .. bc I don't live in a city (: Rising Tide wasn't at all worth it to me till very recently bc up till 1* purple all my hunts was less then the first proc. Now it maybe more worth it since im hitting a wall in dps bc needing so much rare parts is killing me lol
my build, and it is SNS. Great jagras SnS. Rathalos helmet 6* for attack lv2. jagras mail 6* for rising tides lv2. rathian vembraces 6* for lock on AND burst lv2. rathalos Coil 6* for Focus. Anja greaves 6* for peak performance lv2. its more of a Glass cannon since it has basically no Defensive skill other than health boost from jagras SnS but i dont wanna get hit anyway due to peak performance. but the powerspike is MASSIVE. i recommend it to those that reaches rathalos gear at least.
you forgot about the grade 4 jagras coil. it has another level of rising tide and grade 4 is not that hard to get if your comparing it with the rathian coil. it also has the fortify but that's mostly if you f up during the fight which you shouldn't be doing.
Diabolos legs for hammer ia actually a stronger pick. Every match i consistently break head + stun or stun+break head. Generally better to break head first then stun because break head resets monster positition
Lock on is not absolutely necessary. You can use the gyro aim (same as ranged weapons) to aim where you want. Sure it's not exactly the same, but it can free up the head and/ot the arms for other pieces. Like anja head + arms for fire attack 4. (thats 250 extra fire compared to only having one of the 2 pieces)
There is a secret about lock on as cotton pointed out. It makes damage to the monster count as hitting the locked on part! For example lock on to Anjanath's head then wail on his legs and you get head hit zone damage.
@facade11663 It's not that you get head hit zone damage from targeting the legs. It's that as you're locked on to the head, some animations that would normally have you hitting the leg or another part hit the locked on spot because it's targeting it and has a window to. But you'll visually see when this happens. If you see yourself hitting the leg and that's where your strike struck, that's the part where the blow will be registered. So there is no such thing as locking on to a part, hitting another and getting credit towards your locked on part.
It is amazing how much the Jagras Mail helps. I went from trying desperately to try and take down monsters before the time runs out to having more than enough time to land a final hit. That and with all the Jagras parts I somehow accumulated, getting it up to a higher grade was pretty quick and replaced what I was previously using. Definitely will be trying to get it to Grade 6 as soon as I'm able. Just need to get the other armor pieces and need to upgrade the other weapons so I can do the five star hunts properly.
I dont see to farm that much pieces on a mobile grinding game that only have 5 potions for day, this is what I use, now im Purple Star Rathalos quest. Helm: Rathian (Health Boost = More hp and regen) Chest: Legiana (Divine Blessing, Best skill in the game right now, less dmg, more hunts) Gloves: Rathian (best gloves on the game) Waist: Paolumu (More Divine Blessing) Legs: Kulu Yaku (go from 0% affinty to some is a big DPS increase) So with this set you dont have to farm cross materials (upgrade ever the gloves over the helm in Rathian) and you dont share materials with elemental weapons but Legiana SNS with Chest Combine that with elemental weapons and GG, no too much farm (I have all armor at rare 6) and you can go throught all the content.
I concentrate focus on bow and it has not failed me in this game. I main hammer and switch axe, now that I don't have freedom of movement like the console version, I had to change my style.
I'm glad I went full on offensive skills from the get go, the days I work I don't have any monsters to fight but on my days off with a couple hour walk I am on chaoter 5 of 6 star monsters with at least a 6 star weapon and full 5 star armor pieces, some higher 6 stars I barely kill in time but I'm not even using any of the chest pieces here so maybe I could do it even better!! Thanks for the video and tips!!
Tuning out of storage ..delete half of the wings/talons /fangs form those minor spawn mobs to make more room 🙌🏼.. seems being defensive build is good at beginning of 5 & 6 ⭐️..but towards 7 star ..need more dps to kill monsters within time limit ..defensive skill I had to put on hold and went offensive skills to get thru some 7⭐️💪🏼
Funnily enough, as much as I want Burst, I use so many elemental gloves as part of my sets that I still use Kulu Helmet most of the time, and on the first set, Anja Helm and Gloves gives me 4 ranks in Fire attack, which is 350 extra fire element, something that I can use against Legiana for so much dmg. Lock on is a crutch, and a good one to be sure, but with proper positioning I usually get my 2 part breaks on Legiana anyways without needing Lock on. And the only other monsters that need fire are Paolumu (kinda a meh monster in the game, so less need to farm it, and I can still break the head.) and Great Jagras, which is almost always facing you anyways. I just find Lock on to be a great skill to have, but not one I will sacrifice my dmg for. Need to do some math between Rank 4 Fire or Rank 2 Fire Rank 2 Burst though, I have a feeling the Fire is better, but I could be wrong
Lock on is indeed a crutch, because you can toggle the ranged style gyro aim for melee weapons and with that you literrary point your phone where your character shoud attack
The one thing that lock on can do that aiming can’t is phase you through monster parts. From my experience, if you are in range of a part you are locked on to but another part is in the way that would get hit first, you still hit the lock on part regardless. Regardless though, I’ll probably keep using it just because it’s easier to absent-mindedly hunt with lock on than it is by using gyroscope for general farming stuff.
curious as to your reasoning for going full element for bow instead of focus. I would have thought for the same argument of the GS/Hammer that focus increases both damage and survivability
for ls fire u cn run rathalos pant for the extra fire bonus n regarding bow yes u can run a full elemental boost but i reccommend hving atlest focus lvl 3
I’ve gotten to legiana, I have kulu helmet at grade 3, anjanath mail grade 4, palumu vambraces grade 3, palumu coil grade 3, jyratodus greaves grade 3 and the barroth great sword grade 3, I have been trying to upgrade anything but just can’t, definitely got lucky since the last video came out, but I still can’t do much
Is focus worth building into for long sword? It says it charges spirit gauge faster, does that do any sort of damage boost or does it just allow you to do the jump slash after hold skill sooner?
Once u ur gear gets to around grade 6 and up ur gear will require the daily rewards material. And it will need 1 then 3 etc for gear and weapons. U will hit a wall that not even farming will fix. It will be just waiting for dailies to get the reward.. they really took the fun out of the game. Once ur weapon is grade 6 and up. 5 star monsters and down are nothing.
Legias chest with lumu hands and waist. Will help everyone over the bump of getting ur weapon up. Nothing else matters. These builds won't help u. Divine blessing will. Helm and boots can be offense skills based on ur weapon choice.
How have people been finding the rare item drop rate since the latest update? Haven't had a chance to properly yet today so dunno if anything has been done to it
Peak Performance is nice and all, but if your not super pro at the dodge youll be spending money for potions like this guy. Since I like spending my money on other things than a Niantic game, I went defensive. I main GS and just use Legi head and body, with paolumu skirt to get divine blessing level 4. The game really does try to force you to build attack sets so you wind up spending more money for potions, however I enjoy being able to play the game longer without the cost. Ive had Diablos run into me and only do around 15 damage. Though Im currently only at HR 43, so it might get more demanding for increased damage soon.
I'm almost through the story twice now so about to unlock 7stars and I really like gs with focus 4 so far till I get my leg guards on 6. I usually take about 35 to 40sec for any 6star monsters and am definitely ready for 7stars
I’ve been using the paralysis weapon. It feels really good. Have I been missing out on damage not using an element instead? Got all the way to purple monsters with it
You don't really need to worry about element until 9 star monsters tbh. Even 8 stars can be killed with poison/stun weapons. I'm almost done with NG++, I wipe the floor with 7star monsters pretty easily. The guy who started the discord has a youtube channel and he's been uploading some 9star hunts, he doesn't even build the elemental armor sets, just the weapons.
@@ganonbarfYTwhat's NG++? Can you share your build for SnS paralysis, Im para build too but having doubts if it can go late game. But I love to see the beasts get stunned.😂
@@tonyjetman NG+ and the subsequent +'s come after you clear the story the first time. Each story completion unlocks harder monsters (with the first clear unlocking 6 star monsters). So NG+ gives you 6*, NG++ gives you 7*, NG+++ gives you 8*. I'm going through the story doing 8* monsters. I play a poison bow but I'm building elemental weapons now. For paralysis SNS, I'd bet you'd want what you want for any other weapon: damage. You don't need defense in this game if you don't get hit. Learning proper timings on perfect dodges is crucial to killing 9* monsters, as every second counts. I'd recommend Rathalos helm G5 (Kulu helms out-dps's this helmet later on), Rathalos Body G6, Rathalos Gloves at G5 (Kulu Gloves at G4 will be better later on as critical % will out-dps flat damage boosts from Attack skill), all of the current coils suck pretty much but you could go with Jagras for Rising Tide, Girros for Para Attack, or Pao for Divine Blessing. For boots, Kulu Greaves give two points of crit at G6
This games drop rate is worse then any game I’ve ever played. They expect us to grind this like it’s a console game outside? 😂 killing 5 stars left and right and still don’t have a tier 5 weapon.
I had anxiety watching you fighting Legiana with SnS. Just switch to LS if you are going to use lock on. I'm not saying lock on is bad, but using gyro aim for SnS out dps what you can do with lock on. Hammer should also use gyro aim to control the direction they run when in charging stance. LS arguably is the only weapon you will absolutely lose dps if you don't use lock on.
I'm sure this is good and accurate info, I just can't process it all with my oldster brain. I'm stuck on the 5-star Paolumu. I made the error of spending resources on a fire element bow and can't seem to master fighting with it. Oh well.
fire bow is great for paolumu, get closeish, charge bow to level 3 by standing and holding, or slide your finger to dodge, your bow will charge as you slide, then do the double volley of shots, you can just spam tap, aim for its face when it puffs up
You dont have to worry too much about getting too close i think, dodging to the side and aiming at the wings after lumu charges at you also helps deal more damage and possibly break that part for more drops
so much hits wasted when sns charged attack executed, the monster tends to moved backwards after receiving heavy hit causing a lot of miss hits. Niantic do something about it.
So uh... can anyone confirm if the recent update change the way some of the skills work or anything like that? Cause I have both Recoil Down 2 and Reload Speed Up 2 on my armor and uh... I have found literally no difference between having those skills and not having them at all. Like i legit think the Bowgun in general is just broken now. Edited for Clarity: It feels like this ONLY applies to the level 2 skills.
you got no issue with any set for taking down monster. it is the item drop chance problem. how the the he*l six star monsters still drop so many rarity 1 items.
Watch how the timer skips like 10 seconds after that lag spike, when my phone was charging i installed the game on my tablet to beat a 5 star, but since the game was in slow down on the shitty tablet you dont even have enough time to beat the monster
Anjanath Chest is good in general, but is specially powerful for GS that deals whe biggest damage in single attack SP skill. If you plan on using High Raw GS like me. Invest on Kulu Helm, Gloves, and Greaves. So when you use Rathalos Chest you'll get 55% crit chance on weak parts using lock on. For context critical hits have 1.25 base multiplier. So if you have 1756 raw damage, you'll get additional 439 raw damage on crit.
Keep needing to refer to this since I still can't pick a weapon to main (fingers crossed for Lance in the next weapon drop). Here's all the recommendations in text form if anyone else finds it useful (LBG does definitely want recoil/reload skills in most cases)

100% agree reduced recoil on bowgun is pretty good.
And it would be. If it was not currently bugged and dose not effect your first clip or reload.
@@facade11663 Which is fair, but that makes it great alongside Rising Tide or for any long hunts.
I'm using for LBG
Kadachi helmet
Paolumo Chest
Legiana arms
Barroth legs
Coil depends, either rathian for burst or jagras for rising tide, or for elements where the coil has a bonus like legiana or kadachi those.
Thats also what beta players recommend who are already on Rank 9-10 weapons/armor.
Sword & Shield: 1:26
Longsword: 6:37
GreatSword: 7:30
Focus Based Set: 8:47
Hammer: 10:09
Bow: 10:34

I went through the main story line the first time using sword and shield. The delay on a lot of the other weapons made it too difficult to reliably dodge. Most of the fights I would just sit at the side and learn which attacks could even hit me from the side and perfect dodge, or dodge in advance. I'd also use my specials at the breakpoints (around 50 and 25 seconds remaining) so I would avoid the roar stagger. I still struggle with Rathalos' range (sometimes one dodge backwards isn't enough), but I'm finally at the spot where I can play as long as I want rather than being limited by potions.
Why don’t you just use evade extender you just gotta swipe once, it doesn’t matter if you swiped the wrong way it would still dodge it
Have you played any MH games before Now?
Basicalyy all the thing😆
That same special attack with sword and shield after a block, can be used by swiping down when blocking them attacking. Well timed you can evade the monster attack, avoiding the chip damage, and then coming in and using the attack.
For Great Sword, you can always use the gyro to aim at certain parts instead of using Lock On. Aim at the area where you want to hit the charged attack. It takes some time to get used to it but it's pretty much worth it especially if you want to break different parts for more drops.
gyro GS TCS aim FTW!!!
Good info, I have been using sns and is HR73 now but have no idea gyro could be used for melee weapons like that.@@曉p-p7t
1. Poison being jetted out of Valstrax's chest vents
2. Kirin literally teleporting with a flash of lightning (like Malzeno)
3. Gold/Rathian x Silver/Ratholos bond attacks
And finally, someone make canon DEVILJHO EATING IT'S TAIL
I want to see thunder element creatures short out when afflicted with enough water damage.
zinogres fulgurbugs freezing and falling to the ground when hit with enough ice damage
SNS summary
Helm: Anja (Fire L2)
Barroth (Offensive Gaurd)
Chest: Anja (Monsters you're wailing on)
Great Jagras (Timer sensitive monsters)
Waist: Rathian (1 Rank Burst)
Tobi-Kadachi (Thunder Attack)
Legiana (Ice Attack)
Legs: Great Jagras (Water Attack)
Attack 1200 or lower: Anjanath
1200 raw: Rathalos (Weakness Exploit)
This is the armor set that's been great for me currently entering 5*
Armor:
Barroth head (for the defense boost and offense guard)
Great Jagras body (for the rising tide)
Rathian arms (mainly for the burst, lock on is just a bonus for me)
Paolumu waist (divine blessing obviously)
Kulu-ya-ku legs (and critical eye)
Weapons:
Great Girros (for the paralysis) or legiana (for the second divine blessing) Sw&Sh
I'm mostly focus on high damage output but I'm looking into black diablos resentment ability since I'm already experienced with it in MHR)
@GurenKitsune Get the lumu chest to grade 6, its recoil will go to 2 by itself.
Make a loadout with
Diablos Helm
Kulu Chest (swap for Rathalos when entering at min HP)
Diablos Vambraces (Rathian for most if you need Lock On)
BDiablos Coil (Anja if didn't get lucky)
Jyura Greaves
Heroics just like for mainline speedruns is incredibly effective if you can utilize it properly, and GS in particular can really abuse it by shoulder tackling while on the minimum health of entry. An incredible 40% raw boost permanently is extremely valuable albiet risky and is a go to build by people currently at endgame. Kulu chest guarentees you to safely go into Heroics when you start your day, and you then ride the line of waiting for 30% then taking your hunt and repeating.
I live in a 10k population town and this game straight does you dirty. Really wished niantic would just boost spawn rates in rural areas.
Element shreds though. Level 5 element with a grade 5 weapon is as good as a grade 7 raw... it's just harder to farm em all.
i main bowgun, and i would say recoil down is actually needed since it's basically attack speed for bowgun.
For slice or pierce lbgs also rathian with burst could work good.
I want them to add dual blades asap, I don't wanna waste my mats crafting something that isn't my main weapon.
Looks like you got your wish. Hope it wasn't too late.
@@bloodowl8927 been using em but seeing the breakdown to get above r5 weapons broke me spirit since dbs need ele matchup
@@facade11663 i haven't see this effect, but if true it sounds like a bug rather than a feature
So there is no such thing as locking on to a part, hitting another and getting credit towards your locked on part.
that 10:52 - 10:53 edit mishap there. a bit of overlap; i thought my internet went haywire for a sec. nope, it was the video
This is one of the best videos you put out. Crit eye maxing is good but not mention, but great video
😮does rising tide only happen when the timer turns red?
@@irhamusman1it happens at 25 second intervals
@@kase757 thank you!
I dont see to farm that much pieces on a mobile grinding game that only have 5 potions for day, this is what I use, now im Purple Star Rathalos quest.
Helm: Rathian (Health Boost = More hp and regen)
Chest: Legiana (Divine Blessing, Best skill in the game right now, less dmg, more hunts)
Gloves: Rathian (best gloves on the game)
Waist: Paolumu (More Divine Blessing)
Legs: Kulu Yaku (go from 0% affinty to some is a big DPS increase)
So with this set you dont have to farm cross materials (upgrade ever the gloves over the helm in Rathian) and you dont share materials with elemental weapons but Legiana SNS with Chest
Combine that with elemental weapons and GG, no too much farm (I have all armor at rare 6) and you can go throught all the content.
If you don’t have lock on skill. You can turn on gyroscope and aim it yourself.
I'm greatsword and bow so I'm loving my focus builds
Ty Cotton for the tips and video, much appreciated. I’m just now getting to Anji, been taking my sweet time with this beautiful piece of mh game
Diablos bow with focus 3 does heavy lifting for end game until you can farm all the element weapons
I stopped playing for a bit because i feel like I've hit a roadblock since I've unlocked 5 star monsters. Thank you for this video
Tuning out of storage ..delete half of the wings/talons /fangs form those minor spawn mobs to make more room 🙌🏼.. seems being defensive build is good at beginning of 5 & 6 ⭐️..but towards 7 star ..need more dps to kill monsters within time limit ..defensive skill I had to put on hold and went offensive skills to get thru some 7⭐️💪🏼
what about recoil for LBG? less animation = more dps, no?
Dude. This is the best video I've seen thus far for MHN. Thank you for posting. 🙇🏾♂️😭
great video man 🫡
My set now is rathalos helm, rathiat gloves, rathalos chest, diablos coil, anjanat greaves is good for the weak spot of the boss and a lot of damage.
Thank you this the best monster hunter now guide for weapons and armor. I was going into the poor paying for potions. You rock!
So is the jaguarus belt not good then? Figured with how much you were talking about rising tide you would look at the only other equipment with it 🤔
Funnily enough, as much as I want Burst, I use so many elemental gloves as part of my sets that I still use Kulu Helmet most of the time, and on the first set, Anja Helm and Gloves gives me 4 ranks in Fire attack, which is 350 extra fire element, something that I can use against Legiana for so much dmg.
What skills do you want to unlock in the armor for each set set because each set has similar upgrade requirements with different skills. I
curious as to your reasoning for going full element for bow instead of focus. I would have thought for the same argument of the GS/Hammer that focus increases both damage and survivability
would make sense, Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something else I was missing.@@RaynaGrimm
I am doing a full focus build too. Using Kulu gloves though for the critical eye
Hmm wait, for light bow gun the Barroth Greaves have recoil down which I think also increases attack speed which in terms means more dmg.
Thanks for the advice RGV
dang black diablos resentment synergize well with offensive guard build
for ls fire u cn run rathalos pant for the extra fire bonus n regarding bow yes u can run a full elemental boost but i reccommend hving atlest focus lvl 3
I’ve gotten to legiana, I have kulu helmet at grade 3, anjanath mail grade 4, palumu vambraces grade 3, palumu coil grade 3, jyratodus greaves grade 3 and the barroth great sword grade 3, I have been trying to upgrade anything but just can’t, definitely got lucky since the last video came out, but I still can’t do much
Love the info u have give. But only one ask how does we unlock all the armors u have talk xd. New in game
If you ain't rocking diablos set with a kulu helmet, are you really hammering?
How you quickly aim the head, I'm using sns currently, it felt overwhelming when you're trying to lock on head while starting attacking
I wish there was some kind of spreadsheet for this 😂
Why have you forgotten about recoil? It is a part of even the early LBGs.
Not quite a lot of info about poison, is it not a worthy build for sword and shield?
I'm almost through the story twice now so about to unlock 7stars and I really like gs with focus 4 so far till I get my leg guards on 6. I usually take about 35 to 40sec for any 6star monsters and am definitely ready for 7stars
So with GS. Focus or just like sns weapon? I think better go with focus 😅
I’ve been using the paralysis weapon. It feels really good. Have I been missing out on damage not using an element instead? Got all the way to purple monsters with it
Same I have a couple of other weapons, but mainly use the para sns
Rathalos Vambraces when fighting Legiana?
I had anxiety watching you fighting Legiana with SnS. Just switch to LS if you are going to use lock on. I'm not saying lock on is bad, but using gyro aim for SnS out dps what you can do with lock on. Hammer should also use gyro aim to control the direction they run when in charging stance. LS arguably is the only weapon you will absolutely lose dps if you don't use lock on.
What about Jagras Waist for Rising Tide and KuluYaku Legs for Expert eye?
Honestly, I don't understand why Lock On is an armor skill and not just something all melee weapon types have out of the box. :P
Wait! Black Diablos still in the game?! If not, how do we farm the gear to reach lv6.
I'm sure this is good and accurate info, I just can't process it all with my oldster brain. I'm stuck on the 5-star Paolumu. I made the error of spending resources on a fire element bow and can't seem to master fighting with it. Oh well.
fire bow is great for paolumu, get closeish, charge bow to level 3 by standing and holding, or slide your finger to dodge, your bow will charge as you slide, then do the double volley of shots, you can just spam tap, aim for its face when it puffs up
@@jesseno841 Thanks I will try. But don't think this is the game for me
You dont have to worry too much about getting too close i think, dodging to the side and aiming at the wings after lumu charges at you also helps deal more damage and possibly break that part for more drops
so much hits wasted when sns charged attack executed, the monster tends to moved backwards after receiving heavy hit causing a lot of miss hits. Niantic do something about it.
do offensive guard can easily triggered?
So uh... can anyone confirm if the recent update change the way some of the skills work or anything like that? Cause I have both Recoil Down 2 and Reload Speed Up 2 on my armor and uh... I have found literally no difference between having those skills and not having them at all. Like i legit think the Bowgun in general is just broken now.
Edited for Clarity: It feels like this ONLY applies to the level 2 skills.
When I checked forums on the 10\4 update (and translated to English on chrome) multiple people mentioned LBG recoil
apid skills being bugged
So it's not just me then. Neat. They screwed me hard with this one, cause I've been focusing bowgun since release XD
Focus also affects rhe LS spirit bar
Since they nerfed light bows its better use great swords for massive damage instead.
Thanks for the tips.
No full focus build for bow?
Great guide, made my game way easier
I wish i could actually play the game. Sadly though my phone can't run it. Yet it can run pokemon go.
you got no issue with any set for taking down monster.
it is the item drop chance problem. how the the he*l six star monsters still drop so many rarity 1 items.
Stuck on legiana cause my greatsword needs NINE barroth tails 😭
Just wait til next grade needs 12
just use anjanath bow, i promise it will decimate legiana
It’s a Niantic game, consider if you invest your time.
Lol mine is lv 3 devine blessing and lv 2 guard i tank diablo all day long. Health potion isn’t a problem for me anymore.
What if MH6 dosn't add a new weapon but insted a new element for weapons and armor, like Wind as example.
Watch how the timer skips like 10 seconds after that lag spike, when my phone was charging i installed the game on my tablet to beat a 5 star, but since the game was in slow down on the shitty tablet you dont even have enough time to beat the monster
lvl 5 last stand make your def1kplus and get u crit eye and water attack
So weird to actually want to wear Jagras stuff after playing World/Iceborne so much
I’m using poison with crit and doing great!
For GS main, what is the best armor?
Anjanath Chest is good in general, but is specially powerful for GS that deals whe biggest damage in single attack SP skill.
If you plan on using High Raw GS like me. Invest on Kulu Helm, Gloves, and Greaves. So when you use Rathalos Chest you'll get 55% crit chance on weak parts using lock on. For context critical hits have 1.25 base multiplier. So if you have 1756 raw damage, you'll get additional 439 raw damage on crit.
So Jagras mail > rathalos mail :o ?
I'm sad there's no rathalos duel blade
Everybody sleeping on lvl 3 slugger lvl 2 focus hammer
Wait I beat him to the end of the story, no way this is a fever dream lol
Got it
Now i need the MF Materials!
