Low Note Compilation | F1

- A compilation of low notes from a variety of singers and genres, hence there's not about 300 clips of acapella which will probably upset some people but oh well. Each singer only used once.
Making this into a descending chromatic series thing. See how long it’ll last lol.
Hopefully if it’s good I’ll make more.
Any mistakes on notes or singer identification let me know pls.
Already prepped down to C1 so please don't feel the need to recommend any more singers for me to include
Please don't beg to be featured in a video, if you do I almost certainly won't put you in, and even if you don't beg you probably won't end up in the vid anyway.
I'm not going to include random people burping out low notes for the sake of trying to see what they can scrape out. I want an element of quality in these videos lol. If someone appears that you don't know as a singer or the note seems more miscellaneous in nature or less in-context, I've included it as they are singer/having singing training/some sort of singing experience and they can use their voice properly and with purpose, not just for creating vocal clicks, unless they do something really amazing
In this whole series, only one note wasn't able to reach a 5 minute video. if you can guess which one that is... I dunno, I might like your comment or something

This picture is Wes Mckenzie apparently, not Steve Cross. Whoops. Thanks google. Bass line is still sung by Steve though
wanted to say this
13 years later: Low note G-7 Compilation
Lol true
Mikhails lil dance 😭
Zlatopolsky wins for me still, mainly for three reasons:
1. No autotune, tune correction, bass boost or whatever - it's quite audible that the studio recordings were tampered with to get the perfect sound. Nothing wrong with it but it's still something to keep in mind.
2. Resonance. Singing into a mic and getting said mic to pick up the note is one thing, singing over an entire choir and being by far the most resonant singer is a *lot* harder and truly deserves praise.
3. Length. Most recordings are a short dip down or a few seconds, which is vastly easier and more feasible than holding that note for 15s straight and keeping it somewhat on target. That is insane.
So yeah, I doubt we'll see anyone surpass Zlatopolsky anytime soon.
Zlatopolsky was def a freak of nature and prob will be the greatest freak of nature in oktavist history
Glenn Miller was definitely the best one
Agreed, tho I think George’s one is great too, as well as the one from Aluísio
his voice is so loud that you can hear him saying "ok" at the very end, as if he was close from the camera lol
I personally think Zlatopolsky's F1 would be stronger though you can hear Glenn's more clearer in this.
@Steven Criscione Appreciate the use of words, but there is not that much of a difference as you put it. But of course, Zlatopolsky is more monstrous in terms of low bass.
Reuben Thomas It would be interesting to hear Zlat in today’s improved recording environment. Nevertheless you can feel the power surging through those old recordings. Amazing.
1:46 nice moves
1:43 Михаил Златопольский флексит под церковную музыку
2:40 is a picture of wes mckenzie :)

Tim Riley has some better F1’s...one in particular is in the vid compilation “Tim Riley - Best Bass Singer ever... #2”. He slides to an ending F1 on the word “be” in the 1st excerpt of that compilation.
George’s F1 is thick
