So amazing to hear notes that are so out of my range. Even more impressive is how they actually sound good. Not just, "I can hit this note." The guy from voice play has one of the more impressive, melodic bass voices ever.
Tim Foust, who taught Geoff on subharmonics, is just waaaay better. Avi Kaplan, who has a different tone than Geoff and Tim, is also good but Tim is still the best at those speaker-busting growls.
Ah you beat me to it! It does sound haunting doesn't it? Ominous yet mesmerising. Reverb is a wonderful thing for the voice 🙂 Makes it fatter, smoothes out the edges, hides any blemishes, adds warmth...etc
As a baritone, growing up it always frustrated me that my range simply cannot reach the extremes lows of a bass or the highs of a tenor. The lowest I’m able to reach is through “Would you go with me” by Josh Turner. I turned to transforming my voice by altering my tone to achieve different sounds instead of notes. I have tremendous respect for vocalists capable of these incredible notes.
I'm a baritone too and basicly baritone is best voice for solo singing, but quite hard to sing in choir. The fun thing is that if you develop your voice enought you will be able to sing both bass and tenor parts. (Btw I sing in choir as a bass)
@@kubelo608 I’ve been singing all of my life and through practice I’ve been able to do roughly the same. Just wears my voice out the longer I sing high notes.
A D2 isn't bad at all for a baritone. There's no need to worry about being something you're not. I used to be really annoyed by the fact I'm not a tenor and can sing all my favorite songs like one, but after a while I've grown to appreciate my bass range and put it to effective use wherever I find.

Great compilation and editing. The funny thing here is that the Mongolians have been using this technique for centuries. Another word for it is throat singing. It is even more fun when you can learn to do thin whistle singing and create 3 distinct sounds at once using this technique. The older I have got the more I prefer good old chest singing. Subharmonics isn't the extension ones true vocal range. If low notes near the D1 and under are to be had I prefer fry as long as its done right and not often. In reality as bass singers, we don't need to go lower than a E1 anyway.

I have a keyboard at my desk it was fun to play along with the notes... its crazy these guys really are hitting these notes perfect because when you strike the piano note at the exact same time they ring together perfectly and since my piano plays out of my computer speakers it is indistinguishable from the youtube track
Oh heck, I was looking the other day for a reference of singers having a deeper voice. Got what I asked for in the form of a random YT suggestion, haha. Thanks!

SOOOOO SICK THEIR ELECTRIC/POLY SUB BASSES ARE SO CLEAN COMING FROM A BEATBOXING BACKGROUND
Amazing video again!!! :)
Man I love this! I feel like a sponge soaking up all this knowledge, thanks Marcello for this!
Some ppl that aren’t actual basses are doing better than the actual ones 😂
Nah
Really incredible range on these singers!
I love how Ken Turner makes it seem like such a feat... the other ones don't make people laugh, but there is a little humor, which is really fun lol
9:18 the dudes face looks like hes thinking, "wow I didnt know i could hit that note!"
a large double bass (orchestral bass) only goes to C1 with the extension. this is CRAZY!
For 18 years, J.D. Sumner held the Guinness World Record for recording the lowest bass note. He goes as low as B0 as well. He is mainly a gospal singer. He did sing with elvis presily afew times. He should have been on the list but seeings how he died in 1998 I can understand how missing out on the internet in todays world would make him not show on the lists.
I'd love to hear a subharmonic choir singing in a massive room.
This is crazy & I love it; I've never even heard of this!!!!! I'm so excited to check out their channels!
I feel like bassist only have 1 dresscode: long hair
Or zero dress code cause they bald
I love how Ken Turner's eyes look like they're about to pop out of his head when he hits those notes. It's like even he can't believe he's doing it.
Thanks for your work, brother! Keep those videos coming!
Congratulations on 1 million views!
Everyone is awesome but that Dan Miribal is just amazing.
For common people it sounds like people are making sound by resonating with their liver or something even deeper inside :)
4:21 that was beautiful…
When Mr.Geoff always want to say he's just a low baritone and not a bass but his voice is even more deeper than bass. He's a Basso Profundo
Who's that handsome guy at 4:55 ?
Layne Stein
4:56 * (Me 👀😂)
You from where??
@@MarwanAyman3 I know 😂

I love Ken Turner. He and his daughter sang at my church. And he is my idol in bass singing.
From this I actually found my lowest subhermonic which was a second but I managed to pull a B0 and I've been practicing it for about a year.
I have a keyboard at my desk it was fun to play along with the notes... its crazy these guys really are hitting these notes perfect because when you strike the piano note at the exact same time they ring together perfectly and since my piano plays out of my computer speakers it is indistinguishable from the youtube track
Great video! Clap it up dan is really good with subharmonics!!👌
4:13 that low low lo w note was some freaky magical goose bump stuff right there my gosh woah 0
Love this compilation bro!! Thanks for having me again :) 10:00 ha. like & sub. what a pun 😂
Damn. That wasn’t even intentional 😂
@@Marcell0Bass foreal wtf it was timed to perfection 😂💯
Dude what is your range? Is it "all of the piano keys" ?
What is your vocal range? Just wondering.
Oh heck, I was looking the other day for a reference of singers having a deeper voice. Got what I asked for in the form of a random YT suggestion, haha. Thanks!
I love this and because of finding this I discovered that my lowest note is Ab0 and my highest note without a falsetto is G#5 and I want to keep improving my tone
Do you got a super deep voice?
Thanks for putting the names up, some channels neglect to put it up which is pretty disrespectful
Bass voices are my favorite
I grew up listening to Southern Gospel Bass Singers! Love it!
this makes me want to cry because my voice only goes to like... C3
how bout now?
This video made me like bass and the bass community of RUclips so thank you 😊.

Thanks dude!!
what's the name song at 1:04 by Geoff Castellucci?
Queen in 5 mins - Voiceplay
David Larson at the G#1 just sounds like a War Horn and it’s amazing
Yeah!!
Look up and listen to: My Mother Told Me, Geoff subharmonic warhorn F1.
Geoff needs to do voice acting.
Dude has a good range.
This sounds like they could move mountains with just their voices.
It seems I can. Poor little sob spent the rest of the day in the can.
Holy friggin guacamole- if my eyes get any wider listening to this they are going to fall out of my head. This was such a treat to listen to with headphones.
Ken Turner is so fun to watch
