Also the fact you need to invest in a few skill points to unlock the outpost & the first time I built a animal xp farm it took me about at hour to set it up before I was even ready to start farming
Quick note, even if you scanned a previous creature or plant to 100%, once you unlock botonny or zoology, you need to scan them one more time to unlock the ability to clone them. If you cannot clone any plant or animal on the planet because you didn't give any that last scan needed to clone, you will not be able to even build the fancily, it won't even show up as a buildable item.
Hey Griff, there is definitely a better way. First get the Coachman shotgun with hornet's nest mod. Scan the spider things and giant cricket things on Pyraas VIII-A. Build outpost in sandy desert. Build 1 small animal husbandry facility. Stand in the doorway under the porch roof. Shoot the ceiling next to the post in front of the computer thing if you get hurt you'r not shooting the right spot. Doing this kills all animals and destroys the facility at the same time. Now just turn to the right a bit and repair the facility. Doing this I get about 1 lvl every minute.
Aiming at the post in front of the computer, down towards the bottom of the post works and you'll never hit yourself and kill all spawns,,, well unless you're humping the computer you'll hit yourself. If you're standing in front of the door you shouldn't hit yourself with the explosion.
@@zerogrey3798 the reason I shoot the ceiling is if one of the animals walks/spawns in front of you when you're shooting, you won't kill yourself. Trust me it works better than shooting the floor.
Too many people forget the "well rested" boost is larger if you're in a relationship AND it does stack with Tranquilitea that adds an additional 2%. A 17% boost isnt exactly game changing but better than 10%.
Amazing coincidence, I like exploring and I found this planet and made a farm a week ago, power leveled from 70 to 115, with Green Swarming Foxbats, with the new patch if you crank all the settings to hard you can get a 71% XP bonus + 10% well rested + 2% Alien Tea, I use an extended mag Hard Target and get 1760 xp per clip, even at lvl 115 and for some reason the animals in farms give you a much bigger xp (288 vs 47 for wild foxbats last I checked)
Idk if it's just me but eventually the spawns slow down so much, even sleeping doesn't restore the initial surplus of mobs. I found that blowing up the husbandry with a coachman and resetting it for instant mob spawns was much more efficient than waiting for them to respawn normally. Alternatively you can switch between the type of mob that you want at the husbandry and by making the switch the mobs will instantly respawn (only for that 1 husbandry though so not as efficient as mass repairing 10 husbandries in one go)
One detail that you forgot, if you have a romance, when you rest it is an extra 15% xp that adding to the drink you mentioned rises to an extra 17% xp.
I like the video and content, HOWEVER, WaRnInG! To anyone starting out, although someone may conceivably go from lvl15 -100 in a short time, it does require one to invest a good amount of time in Outpost building and stockpiling your resources for a good amount. Then and only then would you be taking advantage of this awesome tid bit of information. I like the fact dude builds his own shooting gallery complete with prizes.😮
3:40 - any buff that's above 15 min is useless, because everytime you'll go to sleep, the buff is gone. The best tactic for this is to sleep for 1h, take the tranquilitea for 2% xp for 15 min, rinse and repeat every 15 min.
I'm sure they'll fix this pretty quick making them not give XP or something, but my game will still be bugged for the foreseeable future with NPC's not getting out of any of their ships and staying locked up. Making ship landing sites pointless, and side quests such as Groundpounder and Unusual SOS incompletable.
You could set up a kill box with storage containers and use the face huggers as your xp farm, just set up the husbandry facing each other, making an alleyway, then placing storage containers around them place a bunch of turrets down and set your controller/keyboard and mouse down then just walk away
I must say rather useless advice.... To do the whole setup, before that you have to invest quite a lot of XP in skills that you might not have primarily chosen and work quite hard to get to the level needed for this. It also takes quite a bit of resources, so I think once you level up to do all of this, you don't really care about the XP level anymore. What I do to gain XP very quickly is to go around the Serpentis system and destroy Va´ruuns, where I gain XP quite quickly and also gather resources. After visiting all the planets, moons and "hostile activity" points, I head to Venus, sleep for 24 hours and do it all again.
Either never really worked or has been fixed. After a couple kills the respawn slows down a lot. You can maybe get 1000 xp in 1 minute, but then you get like 100 every 2 minutes.
did i miss where he said he found the face huggers? i feel like those would be the best to grind with since you dont even need to be there just leave it running all night and come back in the morning to save
Hornet nest coachmen with the Leafback Scavenger on Pyraas 2. Less xp but you can kill them an destroy the facility in one shot. Then just repair for free and go again.
Erm try the weapon box glitch to farm all the preferred legendary weapons and basically unlimited ammo to use this method so you don't need to worry about the ammo
Considering that the UC hunted at least one species to extinction for food of all things and in the FC "regulations" is just a funny word...I kinda doubt it.
So, the purpose of animal husbandry is to just raise these creatures and then blow them away for both xp and resources? Is this what the devs had in mind?
I have a glitch we’re I’m stuck at lv 37 and no mater how much Xp I get I can’t fill the bar to get to the next lv 😢 I’m playing on Xbox game pass so I’ve encountered a few bugs eg game crashes
Its like.. I want to play a game but not play the game.... Did a race with rubberband on FH5 and got soooooo much money and XP that the game wasnt fun anymore in regarding leveling up and experience that..
In this case the progression system is extremely poor. You need to be at least lvl 327 to get enough skill points to theoretically unlock everything. Which you won't, because the endless annoying and often stupid challenges will hamper you every step of the way. Naturally if you're roleplaying a specific character you won't need all of the skills, but even a reasonable character will require sooooo many skill points. Generally bonuses also feel underwhelming in this game. 15% xp boost from sleeping with a character whose annoying flaky temperament you tolerated long enough to marry. 2% from some otherwise useless food. Etc. All of that makes the progression feel terribly slow and ineffective. Naturally this was done for lack of proper content. As the game is really rather unfinished and unpolished in its current state even several patches in. (evident also in the many quests that start out great and were then obviously abandoned/forced to an unworthy conclusion.) But despite attempts to fluff things up, most players will be done with the game's diminishing returns long before they get enough skill points for that character they originally had in mind. Anyone that does stick around makes their own fun and comes up with ways to optimise the game in getting what they want out of it. Personally I like giving a laser focused character for instance a bit more punch with a free laser perk. Plus award 2 skillpoints per level. This feels more balanced for fun and less towards chores. Seeing as so many basic features are locked behind skill levels, character level, research level, actual resources, hampered by inventory management. With quite a few requiring levels in multiple skills. With two points you feel like you can advance those boring skills, but can also put one in an area that will give some tangible fun for your troubles.
I have that farm, and yes that's pretty evil. There are plenty of wild foxbat things around, some of which wander into the farm too. But hey, its in the game right? ;)

Why is this evil? The purpose of animal husbandry is to farm resources. The XP is a bonus.
You don't explain how you've got so many substrate molecule sieves?
Well Schrodinger's "cat" is definitely dead in this case... Nice tip for fast xp farming tho
Do the dead animals stay there or do they disappear after awhile
My previous xp farm was running around killing packs of animals so this will save a lot of time.
