Nabbed me my own '47 2N & getting ready to do a rad flush/clean, check the compression, and top of it off with an oil change. Appreciate the knowledge. Take care.

Love seeing these good old machines doing what they do even after 70 years. AMERICAN MADE!

I have a 1944 Ford 2N that still runs good and starts right up even in cold weather.

I am bringing back to life my grandfathers 2n. The drain plug should have a screen on it. You can buy a new plug and gasket with the screen fairly cheap online

The cotter pin is in case the rear seal on the engine leaks, the oil will drip out instead of pooling up causing the clutch to slip.

Change hydraulic oil every year and check rubber shifter boot will let rain water into trans and destroy lower brging and gears
Best to keep it covered and drain all fluids every year including hub on axles

I was told the cotter pin in the bottom of the housing is there to prevent the hole from plugging up with dirt, as it jiggles around.
