Well that’s something that is pretty rare now a day’s that they would write a note and sign it! I wish those boys great success and you did a great job installing it! But I have to confess my favourite part of the video was when you said you plan on painting the old girl that pleases me so all the best 😀🇨🇦
@@xpsgaragecan you add the parts list in the comments for the replacement lines and stuff please. I’ve got the eBay information on the oil filter conversion
Be careful!!! The original filter base has a very small hole. It allows very little oil to pass to the governor. When you place that filter base you depressurize the entire engine oil line and too much oil goes to the governor. You must make the hole between the new filter base and the gibernator smaller. You must return to the measurement of the hole in the old filter holder base. My tractor has worn out the crankshaft because of that. Look at the old base, analyze and copy its oil passages.
I bought the bender from Autozone. The sealant I was using was #2 Permatex. The 90 degree fitting was from my local autoparts and is just a 1/8" NPT to 1/4" inverted flare.

It will probably be this fall but I am definitely painting it.

The lines are just 1/4" brake lines from the the local parts store. Just figure out how you want to route the lines and figure out the length.
Outstanding. Will add this to my to-do list along with upgrades from points ignition to modern
I like the oil filter but haven't heard much good about replacing the points with electronic ignition.
I have had one for about a year now & it really works well. I would highly recommend this product .
I purchased the same unit, but haven’t gotten it out on yet, I’m using up my stock of canister filters before I do. Thanks for making this video!
You will like it. It looks good on there and is very well built.
You do VERY nice work!
Thanks!

A little love to your tractor. Any will work much better?😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is awesome.
Thanks!
I bought the same kit, but have not installed it yet.
I think you will like it.
Any problems with it so far? Maintaining good flow and pressure?
No problems at all. I've got about 30 hours on the tractor since the install.
Since an 8N doesn't have a full flow filter, its hardly worth ti.
You are correct that it is probably not worth it from a filtering stand point, but dang it looks cool and I really needed new lines anyway.
waste of time
I enjoyed doing it so it was not a waste of time.
