- George Wagner IV - along with his mother Angela, father George "Billy" Wagner and brother Edward "Jake" Wagner - is accused of shooting and killing the Rhoden family members "execution-style." The family's bodies were found on April 22, 2016. He faces eight charges of aggravated murder, along with other charges associated with tampering with evidence, conspiracy and forgery.

I agree. Which is also why I think she confessed. There’s no way she could have “survived” a jury trial. They would have seen right through her IMO.
Angela is a controlling witch. I just can only imagine what that baby Sophia was told after her mother and mothers family was murdered by them. Beth speaks about how Sophia was having “issues”. My heart goes out to that baby. 🙏

Elizabeth Armer is the Bomb. Imagine what she's been through. imaging growing up in an Amish Mennonite community , safe and secluded than moving out to Alaska to run into the Wagner family. Is there anything worse that could happen?
People found her behavior strange. If only they knew what they know now. What she went through during those few months. Mentally abused, being accused, threatened, checked spied on by in-laws and their family members, her husband.
To see BethAnn in court today; fragile but strong, convincing and sincerely answering every question. I believe she will be one of the key witnesses in all Wagner trials.

I honestly believe Beth was the best witness in this entire trial. I can't imagine how difficult it was for her to retell tell this not only because of the audience but also the modesty she grew up with and how terrifying it would be to find out the people you were surrounded by did these things. She saved her own life. I wish her peace. I'm so proud of her 💖

What an abusive family!
This young girl needs to go get a degree in law...very well spoken and calm... doesn't let anyone twist her words. Why she got tangled up with the likes of this lowlife family is beyond me.
She only met the family once before leaving for Missouri with them. She had no idea what they, especially Angela was like. A lot of men appear great until you live with them. Then, they become dominating allowing the wife no freedom.
Three young women - all terrified, all having to escape, none of whom wanted to live in that house with that family. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know I don't know what does.

I thought it was interesting that the defense tried to object to Beth testifying. After watching her on the witness stand it makes sense. Very credible witness and very damaging to the defense!

In my experience and imo based on that experience (hundreds and hundreds of trials- I’m obsessed or it’s my hobby) the defense attorney takes on the personality of his client! They are essentially just the mouthpiece for their client!

This defense attorney is such an obsequious creepy person. Asking questions that really have no bearing on anything, other than what the woman has already told the prosecution. If his sole purpose is to understand that the witness had very little contact with George in Alaska, cut to the bloody chase and say that.
He’s actually doing a pretty good job, his closing arguments are going to be solid but we all know George is guilty. I feel like the defence is doing a good job though
His work is to remove to much attention from George.
Defense attorneys have a job to do. He is following the law and defending the law. That doesn’t mean that he believes or even likes this client.

@meg Meyer her father flew in from Texas and rescued her. She went into a Walmart , changed in the store and went out through the tire section to get into a rental car with her dad. Then they laid low for a bit to make sure they were not being followed. She was obviously very frightened. She talks about it towards the end of today’s testimony if you want to fast forward through.

That was an amazing display of calm, cool, collected, intelligent and patience. When she would read her journal I thought her voice was very soothing. She could easily do book readings for those who can’t see or read. Her composure under duress was an example for all of us. I truly hope her life since those malevolent humans she was with has greatly improved and she’s happy, healthy and doing fantastic. I’m sure she will excel at anything she does. Well done!

There’s a lot of comments expressing how lovely Beth is, and she is. But I’m a little dismayed at her use of the word “whore”. I know it’s a biblical term but it’s really not a nice thing to say these days - there’s nothing wrong with using the term “prostitute”. I just think the word “whore” in this day and age is demeaning and judgmental - something Christians are not supposed to be.

Why the hell would his defense lawyer bring up the fact that George made sexist jokes? And what was the reason for asking if he was heavier when she knew him? I’m not following this guy’s line of questioning.

Her former police officer/minister friend failed her. Thank god she trusted her own instincts. Angela was setting her up, undermining her relationship with Jake so he would not trust Beth. Defense attorney cannot rattle Beth, a woman who has survived such dangerous people.

It’s amazing to me that George was found guilty thankgod!!! Prosecutor Angela is so unprofessional!!!! She acts like my 11 year old son when I take his ps5 away when the judge scolds her or basically has to tell her how to do her job!!! In my opinion this judge was far too lenient with her she disrespected him more times than I can count!!! Shameful!!! I guess justice won in the end but honestly I hope she watches the trial back and learns something from it!!!

I am so scared for Beth and I’m praying that she would be put into a witness program with a new identity, because if George is claiming that he had no part of what his family did, we already know by testimony by Beth her self that Jake told her that he would kill her and then he would burn her in the barn and if he didn’t do it his father, mother or brother would. If these people can murder eight innocent people I wouldn’t trust George for nothing!! Beth is such an sweet and innocent person to have to spend the rest of your life being scared of a monster like George!! So I am praying that George gets life with no possible parole or the death sentence 🙏🏻

Why is Beths testimony relevant? Even when she mentions George’s name she second guesses herself. Prosecution forfeited their right to try Angela and Jake but they are doing a great job during George’s trial!

Who knows Jake and Angela might still be prosecuted which they can be if the prosecution doesn't like the way they testify in George and Billy's case their deal has a stipulation that they must testify to the prosecutions liking or they'll face trial and I'm hoping they face trial
