    Outside of the stuff for unaccompanied violin, this is one of the toughest things Bach ever wrote for the fiddle player, especially the first and third movements. This was a good effort by Stadler but by no means good. Rhythm is the most important thing in music - if one cannot get control of how things flow within a section and throughout the ensemble then it's time to work on technical issues which are getting in the way.

    nice performance except IMO the strings overpower the flutes
