Watched your video again, and I find it to be useful. Thank you so much for posting it, and hopefully one of this day when you're not too busy, hoping to see you post another video on how to ran a governor on a mini Vbar using the Castle Lite ESC 50, and settings on the 14SG. You've been very helpful. Much appreciated.
Go to the Model Select screen. Highlight the model you wish to copy, and press RTN. You should see a "Copy" option on the right side. Highlight this and press RTN. On the right side, you will see "TX". Simply highlight and change this to "CARD" (This requires the SD card to be installed to see), select "Add to List" below that, then press "copy" at the bottom.
+dchekas Thank you for this description of how to copy mateial to the card. I must say, understanding how the menus work on the 14SG is quite a challenge. Loved your video here, too - it answered so many questions. Thank you.
Thank you for the video! Some UPD: Throttle Hold (16:03) - there is no CONDITION option in the newer version of Futaba 14SG. Instead, they have THR CUT in LINKAGE MENU 2/2. Change ACT to ON, and assign SW to whatever you want. I prefer SF because it has 2 positions. Also, I reverse ON and OFF in SF settings, so switch down is cutting the throttle, while sw. up is enabling it.
I have not messed with the fail safe settings in the 14SGH. Off the top of my head though, you may want to assign SF to an auxiliary channel in the Function menu, and then use a programmable mix to tie the auxiliary channel to your Gear channel.
dchekas Thanks for this tutorial. I'm looking for a particular functionality. I'd like to set one of the switches so when I turn it on my curves for everything except for throttle are feathered. Do you know how I can do this?
if it is at all possible could you put a video on installing differential throttles in this radio I know it's done by mixing but I am having great difficulty figuring it out.
I really want one of these to replace my DX7 gen 2. Shame they are so expensive even in the second hand market. Also they don't seem to have any satellite recievers.
First, thanks for your valuable tips here. I'm a beginner on futaba 14sg on multicopter. Have a zenmuse z15 that is controlled with a second 14sg via a sbus. Question: how do I do a switch so I can go down in speed on pan/roll/tilt via a switch on futaba 14sg? Is it program mix? If program mix could you do a beginner video on program mix cause I have a hard time to understand how it's working. Thanks again!
Hi, Regarding the timer, How to stop the timer when in hold position. Problem is when in hold position if the throttle is moved timer start and motor is not running. Thanks.
Thanks Darrick. Am I changing just the bottom number to #2 or both upper & lower? Hope I'm making any sense, but I do understand what you're trying to say.
I have a T14SG and also have 3 planes, but every rx are linked on each model, so no matter what model I have selected, if I turn on two planes or three avery single plane have signal at the same time. what can I do to avoid that ? please help!
Hey great informative video. I wanted to ask if there is a way to permanently disable the 2.4Ghz transmission of the 14SG for a particular model. I'm currently using an EZUHF LR control system with the 14SG and would like to disable the 2.4 transmission. Thanks!
are u using naza v2? how is that possible? naza has only 8 channels. I have a retractable gear, lights, pan and tild for gopro and fpv , and i dont find the way to connect all of them together, I'm using futaba 14sg with sbus. its a f550. 1234channels are movements, 5 gps,altitutde, manual 6 curs lock , home lock 7 failsafe. 8 empty so i only have channel 8. Please help!
I need your help about software configuration for stick mode change. I did the hardware change Without problem, bug when a I changed the software config mode 1 to mode 2. (System /. H/W set up) the throtle warning alarm still considering mode 1. I really don't know why? Could you hep me?
The dial works best with very light taps, touching with the pad of your finger. I see many people pressing on the dial hard, and it does not work as well. Hope this helps.
In order to have a quad copter initially be able to move very slowly right or left, while in a stationary position, is it possible to have the stick sensitivity minimized? This would have (stationary) left/right quad copter movement start off very slow and that's what I'm looking for. Any thoughts? I have the Futaba T8FGS transmitter from DSLRPros.
Question. How do you set up a voltage alert? Also, I've tried and tried to set my timer to go with J3. It will start but won't stop the timer. The remote is new. I go through the set up, doesn't work properly so I go through it again and all the settings are back to default.
Hi Levi, I am assuming you want to setup a voltage alert for External Voltage or Receiver Voltage via telemetry using either the R7008SB or R7003SB. From the home screen, press your Home/Exit button. This will bring you straight to the telemetry screen. From here, highlight either RX-Batt or EXT-VOLT, and press RTN to enter the menu. In here, you will need to enable Alert, set your threshold to the voltage you would like to trigger the alarm, and then select the type of vibratory alert you would like (If you want one at all). Fairly straight forward process. For the timer, I'm not certain what type of setup you are looking to achieve. With Helicopters, we generally do all our flying in Idle up 1 or two. I would recommend activating the timer with the idle up switch (SE). If you wish to use J3 to start the timer, you will pick J3 in the Timer Menu next to Start. You will probably need to reverse the "On/Off" setting, as by default, the timer will turn off at high stick. You will then want to move your collective/throttle stick to just slightly above idle, and click on the "set" button. This will get the Timer running when you first take off. However, if you peg the stick to full down, the timer will stop. There isn't a simple way around this, and is the main reason I would recommend using SE to start the timer if you are flying around 3D. Hope this helps, -Darrick
I'm gonna have a 14SGH also, and will be connecting it to the mini Vbar. With my X9503, I can make adjustment in the tail gain using the gear switch, can I do the same in the 14SGH?
Yes. In the Gyro Menu, select "RUD". Change from "COND" to "SW". Assign whichever switch you like to control tail gain by clicking on the "--". Notice as you flip the switch, the top of the screen changes from "#1" to "#2". Also notice that lower in the screen, there is a "#1". These numbers refer to each switch position. You will have to click on the number, and change it to "#2" in order to adjust the tail gain for each switch position. Hope this makes sense!
I don't understand why it is not possible to make 3 servo's 120 work with this transmitter for a rc helicopter align 500. Every other transmitter works fine. Put it on H-3. Tried every possible way in every channel to make the pitch elevator and ailerons work. They all have their own lives.
Are you trying to measure EXT Voltage? If that's the case, the SBS-01V sensor isn't necessarily the one you need. You would be better off purchasing the External Voltage cable: www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCFVY&P=ML It is cheaper, and simply plugs into the front of the R7008SB. Other than linking the receiver to your radio as described in my video, you don't need to do anything else to set it up. If you want to use the SBS-01V, you will need to link the receiver in FASSTesT 14CH Mode. The sensor would then be plugged into the SBUS-2 port. Hope this helps! -Darrick
So why is there no tutorials on the T10CG radio? I wish Futaba or somebody would do a programming vid on that radio... as many as there are, one would think something would exist. C'mon Futaba... I dare you!
Hi, I have a Futaba 14SG I need to know how you program the switchglo to prevent a hot start, I was reading your post here: www.helifreak.com/showpost.php?p=2055422&postcount=2 Thanks in advance

FasstMulti - No Telemetry
Fasstest 12 - SBus Telemetry
FASSTest 14 - External telemetry
Start from top and pick first one that meets needs. As you move down list latency increases
5:20 -- Disable dials (LD/RD)
By default these change pitch and throttle curves
Select: Model->Pitch Curve and Change LD to INH
Model->Throttle Curve and Change RD to INH
8:20 -- Simplify 5 point throttle curve to 2 point
Model->Throttle Curve
Select Points 4, 3, and 2 and hold Ret until value changes to --
Holding Ret again will re-enable
10:00 - Diable Trims
Linkage->Functions
Select trim and then select -- as switch for that trim function
Repeat for each channel, as desired
12:10 - Use S1 to scroll through menus
13:40 - Use same expo for all conditions
By default separate expo for each flight mode
Model->Dual Rate
Change condition to "switch" but do not assign a switch
Repeat for each channel, as desired
16:00 - Throttle hold
Condition->Hold is -- by default (not enabled)
Assign to desired switch. "G" is common choice with operation set to Off-On-On
IU3 can also be disabled here.
18:10 - Model Select at Startup
System->Start Select
Model vs Quick Select. Use model to see list everytime.
Set to 'always' to force prompt each time.
20:20 - Timer
Key point is switch assignment must be set. Derrik ties to IU.

Very informative tutorial! Do you know how to set up 6 flight modes on the 14SG between two switches, for the Pixhawk autopilot flight modes?
Thanks a lot for the useful information. I have a question maybe you can help me is how to now the maximum range we can go with the T14SG?
Hello. Where i can found the box for futaba 14sg as in the video? Thank you

Your touchsensor dial never misses a press. In mine sometimes it does not sense my finger and it makes me crazy.
The dial works best with very light taps, touching with the pad of your finger. I see many people pressing on the dial hard, and it does not work as well. Hope this helps.
Plane and glider programming would be nice as well. Also the mixes. Very hard to understand. I finish them by luck. Thank you for the channel too

Is there a power output setting on the Futaba 14SG so you can get the max signal?
The "Area" setting under the system menu (in your linkage menu) controls power output. The stock setting is the higher power setting however.
Why dont you turn your mic volume up?
I'm gonna have a 14SGH also, and will be connecting it to the mini Vbar. With my X9503, I can make adjustment in the tail gain using the gear switch, can I do the same in the 14SGH?

Any tips on setting up Align M690L Mulitrotor?
Has anyone set up this radio with a Spirit Pro FBL? I just bought this radio and the Spirit Pro to fly my new Velos 880 heli.
How i do flaprons???

I Can't hear the voice even at full volume
dude how i supposed to set Futaba SBS-01V voltage sensor on 12 Channel mode (FASSTEST-12CH)??????
Which receiver are you using?
R7008SB RX
Are you trying to measure EXT Voltage?
If that's the case, the SBS-01V sensor isn't necessarily the one you need. You would be better off purchasing the External Voltage cable: www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCFVY&P=ML
It is cheaper, and simply plugs into the front of the R7008SB.
