FANTASTIC video. I lost my Phantom 1 which my techno-geek set up for me. I felt confident in setting up my new Phantom 2 - my geek moved away . . . This is EXACTLY the video I needed. First, I'll need to order the Futaba receiver that is still in my lost Phantom 1 . . . little did I know!!!
Best explanation I have seen to date. Great job! You didn't mention out of range fail-safe configuration though (as mentioned in other comments) this would be helpful. Thanks again
Thanks for the walk-through -- very helpful! I'm wondering if there might be a way to use the dual-rate (or another) function to use the momentary SH switch on the controller as a "start-up" switch (i.e., set 2, 3 & 4 to +100, and set 1 to -100). How difficult is this to accomplish, or is it possible at all? Could it also be programmed with a delay to prevent an inadvertent, in-flight shut-down? Thanks!
Super cool vid and info. I have a Q? Trying to sort out my end point on the throttle - When I bring my throttle back the Motors cut out and I don't want them to. I'd like to bring it back and just have them on tic over until I switch off - Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks
Great video, very informative. I have a DJI F450 Flamewheel, NAZA System, Futaba T8FG Super with and Futaba R6208SB (SBus) receiver. I am trying to find out how to connect the two landing gear servos and how to setup the switches on the remote. Do I just connect the servos with a supplied Y Cable to the receiver channel one? I am a novice here so learning as I go along and watch RUclips info like yours. But I am stuck here and before making any mistakes thought to drop u a line first. Any input is appreciated. Thanks from down-under.
Great video, but you forgot the fail-safe function if your copter looses range with your Futaba... What happens if you turn of your Futaba for example (simulate loss of signal)
In order to have a quad copter initially be able to move very slowly right or left, while in a stationary position, is it possible to have the stick sensitivity minimized? This would have (stationary) left/right quad copter movement start off very slow and that's what I'm looking for. Any thoughts? I have the Futaba T8FGS transmitter from DSLRPros.
Brian, Great video! It helped me with my 14SG and Naza M-V2. I too would recommend a follow up on the TX/RX Failsafe programming/function. I looked through and through the manual with no luck and finally found a link on < www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1973186 > (look for LNK > FAILSAFE (PG1) :) about halfway down under the group of red text. The video got me 95% of the way done, this link finished up the failsafe. Excellent video, great audio, I'd only have recommended more clarification/better views of the remote, possibly a 2nd camera? I love that you had a screen recorder as well. Thanks again Brian, you got me through a 9XR to 14SG swap with very little (work) on my end! Thanks, Corey

Thank you soo much for walking me through this. It would have been a lot harder for me to figure it out on my own. Great video!!!!
Thank you! Amazing and detailed explanation, programmed Naza v2 with Futaba 18SG using your guide as settings/menu are exactly the same.

Love your work mate!
Thank you for this video! I will try this tomorrow on my phantom vision, I think is all the same!
Thanks.
Very helpfull for setup of GPS and Failsafe switch.
I have the Futaba 14SG and DJI A2 system.
Great Video with detailed explanations! Thank you!

The antennas should be positioned in a 90° angle to each other.
Haven't seen entire video yet.....do you show self centering throttle kit install for the sg14?
A ot of work, nice job, thank you.

Very good video. How do you program a gimbal in the 14GS?
Great video, but you forgot the fail-safe function if your copter looses range with your Futaba... What happens if you turn of your Futaba for example (simulate loss of signal)
Failsafe or "Return to Home" kicks in just like with the OEM transmitter.
Hi ;) so same setup on your video ,should works on Phantom 2 ?
Chào Anh, Congrats on your video.. it is beautiful!
Thanks for amazing video...

thanks mate, thats really help
Do you have any videos about using the S1000 with the 14SG? I can't seem to find anything online.
Hey bro I can use fly sky receiver with 10ch.S bus signal to the controller????
You dont use hover lock? (throttle on 50% locked). Can help with this?
Good stuff!
Therefore, the video tx is also 2,4ghz
Will those settings work for the Discovery Pro?
For the best transmission from the receiver, the receiver antennas should be separated in a y direction - not tapped together as you show
Do you have any videos programming the futaba t6j to a dji f450 ?
Let me know if u ever find one please
I get 3km on a Frysky 9x and patch and my fg14 and 8 stoc should do at min. 3km-5
does this programming apply to the Futaba 14SG?
the diversity antenna on your Rx, shouldn't it be positioned in 90' from each other to obtain maximum signal in any position your aircraft maybe.
wait I get a solid 1km with my stock phantom 2 transmitter thats 0.6 miles. this only tops at 3/4 (.75 miles)?
Very true waste of money buying the Futaba
I think the Phantom 2 has more range than the Phantom 1 though.
Yes my record with the phantom two stick remote has been 1400meters.
Futaba 8FS FASST is rated for 2.5 miles or 4k... Google is is your friend, cure your ignorance. My record is 7km.
Sweet. And where can I read more about the range of the futuba remotes?
please, for the benefit of new users, explain the fail-safe function
