Thanks for the info. Can you set alarms on these voltages?

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU APPLY THE EXTERNAL VOLTAGE TO THE RECEIVER BEFORE YOU TURN IT ON?

Great video. Thank you. Instead of using a futaba wire and an adapter, can I just use a servo lead wire that goes into the sbus Port of the RX and solder the positive and negative to the esc?

I have several R7008SB receivers that I use this feature with. Since I only use S-Bus and the external pack voltage monitor, I don't need the R7008SB and thought that the R7003SB would work fine. My only question is if the 7003 is like the 7008 in that my 14SG transmitter can be set to 12 CH mode rather than 14 CH mode that is required for any sensors other than the external voltage port.
Your video was excellent even though as far as I know the Castle 160 HV is an ESC, not a receiver.
    Thanks, man.

+warren douglas The 7003 can be used in 12CH or 14ch mode, just like the R7008.

Hello, if the main voltage comming from the battery (7v) is turned off, the receiver is capable to work with only the external voltage?

Hello where did you put the lead for the ESC and did you cut off the red wire ?
    very good explanation video

This might sound stupid but im trying to get this right I'm trying to compare this method to a plane.Confusing enough if i understood you correctly the voltage sensor solders on directly to the esc to get power then plugs into the receiver to transmit data back to the transmitter? It gets confusing watching others and some have it to where it seems they're using 2 batteries.1 to power the receiver and another to power the plane.

I have a 3008 reciever which has the port for the external voltage. Do I need to change mode between servo and external voltage as well? Or just plug it as it comes?

    Hello,
This is my first experience with telemetry!
    I have Futaba SG14,
I noted that I need (Futaba SBS-01V Sensor) to measure External Voltage.
So do I need a separate battery to power the telemetry and what is its specifications (voltage and and cells).
    Thanks

I have the Futaba 14 SG., not the 14 SGA,, can I use it in fixed wing ? ,.. because I understand that SG is for Help, and SGA is for fixed wing !
