Excellent video. I tried 2 hours to connect R7008SB before I found your video. There is not any explanation neihter 14SG nor R7008 manual. Thanks alot.
What type of cord/switch is used to connect the battery to the receiver? I don't have that type of cord attached to my batter. I'm using am Admiral Pro 2200mah 4s 14.8V. Trying to connect it to the Futaba R3106GF reciever.
I have a T8FG. I just got a R7014SB recvr. I can't get a bind. Trans is in Multi2 mode. Rec'vr is in standard Fasst mode. I can only get a blinking grn light. Any thoughts or recommendations?
I AM TRYING TO LINK THE RECEIVER R2008SB TO THE T10J FUTABA, BUT I AM NOT GETTING THE LINK ID CODE, NO GETTING CONNECTED, WHAT CAN I DO. PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH THE PROCEDURE AND ADVICE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. IT WAS IN USE BEFORE. DO I HAVE TO DO IN THE IS WAY , IT IS FIXED ON ITS POSITION
hi dchekas, is the R70008sb reciever, HV, stand for High Voltage? could i plug the external port for external voltage to my Lipo: 5000mah, 50c, S4? thank you
James Hatton Some other facts: T14SG: with R7008SB: 1. If your running any analog servo's can only be in 14CH mode. This is probably what your seeing? 2. You can actually use the receiver battery sensor, and external battery telemetry while in CH12 mode. You cannot use any of the other telemetry in 12CH mode, and it only allows for digital servos. 3. Although not stated well, CH14 mode, is the default telemetry mode, and can do all telemetry, and use analog servos. You can adjust telemetry feedback from .1 to 2.0 seconds also, to adjust, if so desired.
I have a T14SG and also have 3 planes, but every rx are linked on each model, so no matter what model I have selected, if I turn on two planes or three avery single plane have signal at the same time. what can I do to avoid that ? please help!
I AM TRYING TO LINK THE RECEIVER R2008SB (dRONE APM TAROT) TO THE T10J FUTABA T-FHSS, I DID THE SAME PROCESS , BUT I AM NOT GETTING THE LINK ID CODE, NO GETTING CONNECTED, WHAT CAN I DO. PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH THE PROCEDURE AND ADVICE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. IT WAS IN USE BEFORE.
I have everything Setup on the R7008SB exactly like the manual said to, I linked it right etc... I have it linked as 14 FASSTesT and the Sbus cable is connected into the SBus2 port. I'm trying to change it to 12 channels for quicker response and trying to figure out why Telemtry is not working on it as well... If I relink my receiver and set it up as 12 channel FASSTesT will my other set ups on the radio change at all or will they remain the same? and lastly any advice on how to make Telemetry work? Thank You!
Sebastian Aguirre Here is a guess, from my exposure to a little glitch, or build in feature, you might say. I have found that if I link my R7008SB receiver to my T14SG transmitter, some times my telemetry does not work, no matter what I do. Had two receivers, one could see the telemetry, one I could not. All other functions seemed to work fine, as far as I know. Found this answer in another forum, and as I beat myself to death, for a day and a half trying to figure out why, I thought I would pass this along. A. Symptoms: Not properly linked telemetry receiver. 1. LNK_Telemetry: No telemetry will work, and am not seeing any bars on the antenna. 2. LNK_System: There is an receiver ID# for the sensor: P_____________. But it is blank. (Very similar to most of the manual pictures, and probably why it is not noticed by most.) A properly linked telemetry receiver: 1. LNK_Telemetry: Seeing at least receiver battery voltage telemetry. There are bars on the right side of the antenna, like on most cell phones these days. 2. LNK_System: There is a proper receiver ID# for the sensor, like: P13420201. B. The fix: (Relink the transmitter properly.) 1. Power off receiver, but have it ready to power on. 2. Go to LNK_System and click the link. The transmitter will start to beap, as it starts the link process. (Don't have other receivers powered on close by!) 3. Power on the receiver. It will relink the transmitter, and receiver properly, and you can then see the receivers ID in the LNK_System menu, and see telemetry in the LNK_Telemetry menu, if you have it activated in the LNK_System menu. .
Really helpful video - been looking for a clear demonstration of binding on the FASSTest R7008SB for a while. For my set up I need to setup my 14SG to transmit only 8 channels. Which setting should I use for this (Multi, FHSS?) and will this work with the R70008B? If not what Rx would you recommend?
You should use FASSTest 12Ch mode, unless you intend to run one of the telemetry sensors that plugs into the S-Bus2 port (Sounds like you are not). You will want the receiver to be in mode A for ports 1-8 to correspond to channels 1-8. Note that this will disable S-Bus output on Port 8, but it sounds like you are not using S-Bus in your application.
dchekas Thanks for your reply. I have the R7008SB in mode A and it is bound to the T14SG in 12Ch mode but this doesn't seem to work for what I am trying to do which is install a fatshark head tracking camera gimbal. The FPVLab forum Fatshark states : tinyurl.com/pgfaz9p "Futaba T14SG (must be in 8ch mode and trainer switch assigned - pg 18th this thread)." This goes into a little more detail on page 18 of the same thread: "You must be in 8ch mode and the channels have to be set to NORM. In the trainer menu. You also have to assign a switch to activate the tracking system. "Act" must be set to on" The problem is I can't get the R7008SB to bind to the T14SG in 8Ch mode (FHSS). Is this even possible and if not what Rx will work?
Samuel Livingstone The R7008SB will only link in FASSTest 12CH or FASSTesT 14CH mode. FHSS is a different transmission protocol between the radio and receiver, and is only used on FHSS receivers. I highly doubt this is causing the issue in your application. Relink the receiver in FASSTesT 12CH and verify the receiver is set to Mode A.
That's what I thought but was confused when Fatshark on the forum was saying the 3-axis mount only works on 8 channel mode using the T14SG! You are right as I just tried assigning the pan and tilt to RS and LS and I can control the 3-acis mount when in 12ch mode! Therefore it seems the problem is with the settings used when T14SG is attached to the head tracking goggles via the trainer cable. I got the trainer switch on and assigned the pan and tilt channels (6 & 7) on the T14SG to both FUNC and NORM, but still no joy. Don't know what else to try. By now we've drifted off the thread topic so should leave it there, but thanks again for your help and clarification!

Kazu Watanabe Go to the linkage menu, and then select system. Make sure you are in FASSTesT 14CH mode. Make sure you have "DUAL" selected not "single". From here, you will see two different link options. There should be a P and an S (Primary and Secondary), and under each one will be a "LINK" option. Make sure your receivers are powered off. Then power on your Primary receiver, and press "link" underneath the "P" side of the menu. Wait for the receiver to link. Then power up the secondary receiver, and press "link" underneath the "S" side of the menu. You should be all set.

Luiz, I am assuming you are trying to link to the Futaba 10J. In which case, the link process is very similar to linking a Fasstest receiver. You will need to go into the Model Select screen (mdl-sel), scroll down to where it says "link > ID (Or "NO LINK"), and click it on it. Then, with the receiver close to the transmitter, quickly power on the receiver. The two should link within a few seconds.
