Today's flight showed the pitch on the 80" I have is now right on, I'm getting at least 6-8 more MPH in cruise, and even better climb then I did before, plus I lost 6 pounds off the hub, and it's super smooth, a win, win, win, win. It also glides better when throttled back, and there is almost zero lag time when you hit the throttle, and the startups and shut downs are much smoother, no clunk. Get one!
Good morning from beautiful Fort Mill, SC, USA. Livin n learning, wish I'd have gotten involved years ago when i had the income. But it's nice to learn. Nice seeing family participation. Thanks fo tttttd sharing. Blessings Y'all❤❤♥️⚘
I was really looking forward to this video and see if there was a difference. So far weight and a very well balanced prop. Static thrust seems comparable to others.
Now that my new EDGE EFI system tuning is done, I can finally test both my 78" Prince prop against the E prop at all power settings, it should be interesting! I have the numbers on the Prince, next will be the final pitch setting on the E, which is final determined by a flight test at WOT/level flight, that results in a 5500 RPM, the way it's set right now it was 5860 RPM, way off what the E prop needs for best performance.
Jonas, I’m flying an RV-12 with a Viking 110 hp engine. You got a 3 blade e-prop for that application? Currently running DUC Flash prop. Looking to lower weight with same thrust.
I can't say that I saw it difference... He Def didn't try popping off.... It does look very strange so thin of a blade chord.. Aw Ava is so cute.. Hahaha those glasses... Peace and love you guys. Rolfie
EFI is simple, once installed. No more carb ice effects with long descents during the winter, and a more peferct mixture at all altitudes. Best of all is the smoothness. no balancing required!. It's also a bit more uncluttered under the cowl, with only one throttle cable, not towo, plus two choke cables.
The Eprop needs to be set at 5500 rpm at WOT...5750 is way too high. The Eprop is designed for the rotax and to be set at 5500 rpm its not like any other prop.
Rotax egt sensors are terrible, I can't understand this guy with apparently so much experience not knowing really common stuff about the engine. The engine wouldn't run at 200 degrees egt so it's absolutely a wiring issue or the sensor has failed. Same as putting injection on it to fix a cam being chewed up, clearly ignoring the metal in the oil filter and on the magnetic plug? Bizarre, facing the shed with an old rope holidng it to the car is also baffling. I have watched for ages and generally enjoy it but there is some wacky stuff going on with this guy.

I like Tom. He seems like a great flying buddy. Wish there were more Tom's in the world.
Good morning from Minnesota!

Your child likes Tom... She could be flying by age 5... Great VLOG... So nice seeing your family... =)
Love the Tom content! also love the old school attitude, just doing what he needs to fly, not spending $400k to fly. keep it coming!

I feel like Michael has probably done hundreds of these calls!! He does a great job too!!!

Love the E-Prop on my Aeroprakt 32!
Great video and glad to know you deal the E-Props. I am seriously considering this as my next upgrade on my S7.
Good to see you around an airplane!
When are you getting your plane back in the air? Have you been working on it much?
something is coming soon. :)
Where can I find information about the wireless system for shielding off the radiator?
Or did he mean that there are no wires for operating it 😀
Amazon, mini linear actuators/ with remote control, about $50.00 total.

G,day Jonas from Sydney Australia.
* Less weight
* Improved rate of climb
What about cruise speed?
Less or more KIAS?

Excited for my e prop to show up!
What’s their turn around time ?
@ mine showed up on about 3 weeks!
Not an efi fan… I like the simplicity of carbs… that e prop is interesting

IS THIS PART 2.?.? 2:59
The E-prop, the proper prop ! EEEEE !! 😱
What airplane is this?
Rans S7
Every car sold comes with one! That would be a good start!

Was that an 80 inch jona?
75 inch eprop and 80 inch prince I think?
@@JonasMarcinko oh ok I just ordered one from Joel to see how it works on my s-7
@@JonasMarcinko 78" is the Prince dia.
Is that an s7?
No spinner = higher EGT’s and CHT’s!
Can be detrimental if a guy looses nuts
Spam can?

The "old rope" is half inch dacron braided, and he's a certified crane rigger FWIW.
@@portnuefflyer so pointing it at the shed is a good idea?
