We had our annual OPA Fly-In and did a pumpkin drop. The target was an old camper that we were bombing from our airplanes. I flew my kitfox aircraft and Joel and Tom flew their Rans S7 aircraft. It was a hard mission to bomb the camper with pumpkins. the pumpkins exploded on impact.
Tom tried a stol technique by hovering above the camper while bombing the trailer. We flew downwind and upwind.
Bugs hadn't finished his airstrip yet. But it was long enough for us to land my kitfox airplane and two Rans S7 airplanes. Setup with bush gear and bush wheels for backcountry bush flying. the airstrip is located in a lava field and is about 400ft long. We helped bugs remodel his old camper!
