Vince! Your discount code has expired.. do you happen to have a fresh one? I would be eternally grateful as I'm just starting to watch all of your videos and digging into FCPx :). Great videos by the way! :)
Hi @vinceopra, great video.
One thing im looking for on youtube is a tutorial video where we get the raw footage and follow along to create an epic end result, step by step.
A video in the style of gawx or riza or something where its not a talking head video and anyone could try to shoot matching footage would be great too.
Please make this happen!
Found this as I am trying to replace capcut :( giving this a try thank you
thanks so much for the amazing tutorial! i also learned how to use photoshop completely by your tutorials.
Film editing is a special kind of hell, where your life becomes an endless loop of scrubbing through footage, frame by frame, hunting for the perfect millisecond to make a cut no one will ever notice. It’s hours spent matching up tiny inconsistencies in color, adjusting sound levels by an imperceptible notch, and staring at timelines that resemble an overcooked plate of spaghetti. You drag clips left, then right, back and forth, trying to align invisible beats while your brain slowly disintegrates from the monotony. It’s not artistry-it’s a mind-numbing slog where you can’t tell if you’ve been at it for 10 minutes or 10 years, only that your soul is slowly being eaten away, pixel by pixel.
Have you considered a career in motivational speaking? 😂😂
@@TraceyAOK No, although people have told me that I have an uncanny ability to always see the dark side of things. -Thanks!
have you considered becoming a poet by chance? because this was beautiful but also so so dark but so so real
@@cala_marie Thank you! That’s very flattering. A few people have suggested I should become a writer, but I often get writer’s block. I’ve written some poems, but I started by imitating the form, meter, and rhyme of famous poets like Robert Browning, substituting my own words to avoid plagiarism. I wrote those to impress a girlfriend in my twenties-and later sent the same ones to another sweetheart. (Neither ever complained.) Film editing has its bright moments, though. There are times when everything comes together, and you realize your contribution-whether by luck or effort-has added a spark of magic to a film. That sense of satisfaction makes it worthwhile.
Loved this !
Great video! I bailed on Filmora as it kept crashing, I downloaded a Final Cut Pro demo and watched your video. Within a few hours I’m feeling comfortable on Final Cut. Thank you so much.
Took me like 10 years to finally buy FCP haha. Went from moviemaker to iMovie to lumafusion to premiere pro and finally FCP... thanks for the Video!
Thanks. I haven't used Final Cut Pro X for a couple of years, and your video brings it all back in a practical way (plus a few more techniques I didn't know of). An intermediate follow-on video would be great.

I will start filming next weekend for our new product 😂 trying to learn as much as possible
Great video again. I watched your iMovie one also which I currently am learning and I think iMovie is plenty good enough for making youtube videos. Your opinion please?
Thanks for the video. I should have started learning this stuff when I was 8 years old because I have to rewatch so much. I do learn a little bit more day by day. I don't know if I'm forgetting as much as I'm learning at the moment. I suppose the important thing is to do some learning, watching, and actual doing, every day just like anything else. This video and audio editing has to be part of your brain----Daily. IMO. Thanks for your info. I subscribed !
Just invested in FCP, very helpful video👌
Appreciate the great tips in the video, however I was a little confused by the custom LUT portion. You said we'd need to download from the internet but where do you recommend we do that? Is there a specific website or source to get these filters? Is it free?
Thank you very much; you are the only one that made the final cut pro introduction so simple🤩
Thank you a lot easier to understand what you were doing. So many videos say for beginners but I was lost. I am coming from PowerDirector. I am at a very basic level. I appreciate the time you took to create this for "me"
Excellent - thank you. I have been using Kdenlive on Linux, but now that I have a Macbook, I'm changing to Final Cut Pro as it blows Kden out the water!
Can we disable the auto show the last frame when start final cut ?
Nice video as always Vince
Great explanation 🤞🏿💯💯💯
Great video - thanks for making it.
Hey! Thank you for the video
Hi, I’m one of those who play around not knowing what I’m doing in hope that I get it right. OMG how wrong was I. So I now have in the ‘ In Events’ part (vlog 310125) and I can’t get rid of it. Please how do I reset this so it gives me todays date?
Thank you👍
Thank you
where can I get that flash plugin that you blended ?
The key to a good video / content is having good footage to edit of which most people don’t have!
do you know if it's possible to enable dual viewers in FCP? (source and record monitor)
Does this also apply to iPad?
Where’s the timeline chapters for this video?
So many effects and transitions and titling - so little time!
There’s always the tendency to want to use up so many of the goodies but the downside is your clip becomes one big video cliche.
My RUclips’s now involve pretty basic cutting, trimming and titling, basic colour grading. That’s it. Could they have more pizazz(?!) - sure but life’s too short and I don’t think it’s worth it for a few more views.
About to make the switch from filmora to final cut pro. Here goes nothing
Simple teaching.......
I am on Mac Studio, have been using Davinci and CapCut - pondering FCP. Thanks for sharing. So many varying reviews
I’m finally gonna learn it this time.
“As you can see it created the project for you”. No I can’t. What do you mean? This is extraordinary. I am completely bewildered.

I give up. Does anyone know of a tutorial for “genuine” beginners? People who don’t know anything.
I am lost from the start. Not o e of these tutorials has EVER explained why the are Libraries, Projects and Events and what on earth the difference is and what they are for. Not ONE. They just say that they are there but NEVER EXPLAIN THEM. It makes NO SENSE
I believe the library is what it says it is which it stores ALL your imported media , the project is for like if you did a vlog in Italy and wanted to only focus on editing that ITALY vlog & the project is a specific video for that said vlog under the project… I hope that helps
A library contains all your video, audio, sorting folders. (called events) and the assembly time line (called Project) So I always think of a Library as the Project. Yes it’s just the way Apple have named things that causes confusion 😂
