I've been out of the hobby for a while, and just got me the v2. This sucker is quick and such a blast, and tuff as hell.. I'm just running on 2s right now, gotta get back in the swing of it before I even think of dropping a 3s in, lol.
I'll be looking to buy some of the upgrades for my Mega that I've converted to Brushless. I already have a ton of upgrades that I've done to it. BLX Slipper spur and pinion are next on my list as it's difficult to adjust my mesh on the smaller tooth spur and pinion that is on the Mega. I installed the adjustable motor mount and ended up stripping out a spur so I switched back to the stock mount.
@Nonsensical Musings The only two things that I have to upgrade are the slipper and diffs. I know the teeth on them will be fine running on 2s. It's plenty with a 17 tooth pinion. If I decide to run on 3s then I would need to upgrade those two things as well as changing the input gears to 13 tooth. I'm not sure it's worth it though. Looking back, I should have bought the 3s BLX to begin with. But it was out of stock and this is my first RC.
I bought the one last year, it’s the Granite 4x4 blx 3s with the Tactic and My 15 year old son and myself have really enjoyed it for as long as we have had it. It’s super quick and EXTREMELY DURABLE! Couldn’t be happier with it. I think I either want this one next, or the big rock but I’m really starting to like the Typhon model also. We have a few 4x4 Slashes and a Stampede all 4x4 and VXL also I have a Losi MT10 with the mamba maxx 4-8s esc but ARRMA is hard to beat for the durability of it and the performance of them. Not sure what one I’m buying next. Probably this one Or Typhon. What u guys think would be better? I don’t run on pavement hardly ever. Or I would of already had a infraction 😂
Traxxas comes out with the Hoss for $480 and arma comes out with this for $ 319? Yea time for me to get an Armma!! Especially when the quality is more superior!!

Great comparison and video. My biggest grief is just that what you explained, rocks getting inside and causing mayhem. The other day i had a stone wedge itself between the driveshaft and recieverbox and nearly ate its way through the driveshaft because i didnt pick up the sound since it was quite far away from me, Ive had rocks wedging themselves beneath the motor and what not making it a pain to pull it apart for maintenence. Second, ive had my steering lock up due to rocks, super annoying. And today i broke the output shaft on the rear diff, i have absolutely no idea how that happened, i mean that shaft is pretty thick! I do have a dustcover but things find their way inside anyway thanks to small openings here and there on the chassi, i am trying to figure something out to prevent things getting jammed against the driveshaft atm.. So if you guys have any tips or tricks for sealing the chassi up i am all ears! Sorry for the novel..

I have the V2 and when I saw this was thinking of picking one up but might go with the Senton or typhon blx instead just to change it up. I wonder if the body will hold up any better on this granite being higher up, I can’t tell you how many I’ve gone through where the back gets torn up if it flips.

Hello there, I have a question if you don't mind. The Arrma Granite and Senton brushless both have the same motor and servo. I'm just sitting here thinking the granite should have a beefier motor? Even a servo considering the wheel size and chassis are bigger. Idk was curious if getting the granite I'll see less power. Thanks buddy!
Quick question, I bought the original Arrma Granite 4x4 BLX when it first came out and still love it. The only 2 things I disliked about it were the leaky stock shocks and having to butcher after market bodies to make them fit. It looks like the bumper set up has been revised, so should Pro-Line bodies work a little better now or not? Airbrushing bodies is a big passion of mine so I'm hoping the new Granite is more aftermarket body friendly. Also will bodies that fit on the new Granite fit the new Big Rock as well? Or is the Big Rock too long?

Yes the big rock body is too long. Yes you can find aftermarket bodies for it as well.
